Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Canary Wharf is a great area in development with many shops, bars, and restaurants. Anti social behaviour does happen at night though, specifically drag racers.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management conduct was just as bad as the building condition. When I gave notice that I would be vacating, Vertus failed to confirm even basic move-out arrangements and then explicitly stated in writing that they would prioritise letting other vacant units before marketing mine for the remainder of the tenancy contract (hence continuing charging rent). That approach speaks volumes about how tenants are treated once they stop being convenient. I had been a tenant for nearly 4 years! This is not professional build-to-rent management. It feels like a glossy brand wrapped around poor maintenance, slow responses, and a strategy that shifts the consequences of mismanagement onto tenants. If you are considering renting with Vertus: ignore the brochures, talk to current residents. They make everything go smoothly when moving in, but then it becomes a nightmare. RUN!

That the landlord does not value loyalty or years as tenant at all.

Canary Wharf has alla the facilities for a good style living. Plenty of restaurants, good quality supermarkets, shops and has access to several underground lines which make the area well connected

Building management is dealt very professionally, issues are promptly sorted

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building view on the city is every day surprising, from grey foggy days to shiny day.

I've lived in this building for two years. Everything was great at first, but for the last 6-8 months, it's been in disrepair. Many problems have arisen in the building, and these problems haven't been resolved for a long time. The staff are very nice, but unfortunately, the elevator, garbage, second-floor odor, insects, and coffee machine issues haven't been resolved.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are so fast and their approach were problem solving always

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Elevator issues are so disappointing. So if I know that bad I am not sure that I d like to move in

The building is located very centrally to all public transport. It is a super clean area, with lots of amenities including shopping, groceries, exercise locations.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. Responded to broken doors quickly. Bin chutes however were broken for a long time and did take a long time for building management to respond

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise from the wind in the bedrooms. Also when the building is at full capacity the lifts are very slow and full all the time

I live and work in Canary Wharf so living in Newfoundland Place is the ultimate living experience in Canary Wharf. I absolutely love it here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Satisfactory in most cases. It is a big building with lots of tenants but I am satisfied with how they have managed issues over the years.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I am still really surprised by the size of the apartments! Plus a separate kids play area adjacent to the building (internal and external)! There is no need to move outside of London at all!
