Fizzy Poplar

Moving in process was relatively well managed, ongoing day to day management is great. Tia is always responsive and very friendly. No tumble dryer and parking for bikes is not great, you have to get your bike in through the two main doors, in the lift and then through another two doors before you can lock it securely. No shaver socket in bathroom. Otherwise love the flat, overall quality is good but prices are comparatively high for the area.

Comfortable and familiar

Verified Resident

Having moved around a lot it’s hard to get comfortable in a new place until you’ve been there long enough to make it home. It has been a warm and welcoming experience moving to a Fizzy development as not only were my pets accepted but myself also. We received a cute little welcome pack of bare essentials that were desperately needed from day dot. It’s the little things like this that make this place feel like a home.

Game changer

Verified Resident

We made the move to Fizzy Poplar 2 months ago after a work colleague recommended looking at Fizzy’s website, and we absolutely love our flat. It is modern, well looked after and has everything we need.

A major plus for us is living so close to the city. We used to have a commute of over an hour, which usually took longer due to unreliable train services! This has literally changed our lives, we can leave in the morning at a decent time and have so much more time in the evenings. This means we actually have the time and energy to use the gym, which is literally a 1 minute walk from the flat.

We pay a minimal amount more a month (when taking into account travel costs, the fact that the gym is included and the fact that we get free WiFi) than we were paying at our previous flat, but have massively improved our quality of life. We are so happy we made the move to Fizzy Poplar.

Please review the location of this development:

The immediate area around the flat isn’t the best, but this is something we’re used to now. There are two corner shops pretty much on site, which is really handy. We’ve also started doing our food shopping online, which has made things a lot easier. We recently discovered some really nice bars/pubs in West India Quay, which is about a 15 minute walk away. There are lots of options if you venture a bit outside the immediate area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Fizzy tenant portal seems to be a bit outdated and has caused a couple of issues with the initial set up of our account and then paying rent. We are also only allowed one login, which isn’t very convenient. It has only been 2 months so we hope this will improve. That being said, if we had known about this it wouldn’t have changed our minds about living here.

Fantastic

Moving into Fizzy was a fantastic decision for me, they welcomed us and my pet and things felt at home very quickly. The property manager takes great care in assisting tenants with queries they have.

Wonderful!

Verified Resident

Fizzy is everything renting in the big city should be. No rip-off landlords, substandard living standards or poor service here! Fizzy and their team of Bobs (property managers) are renowned for cultivating a community in their buildings, something often lacking from apartment living in London. Neighbours are friendly and Tia, our Bob is always smiling, kind and helpful.

This is the second Fizzy apartment we’ve lived in and plan to stay settled here for the next couple of years. The Poplar location in particular is well located with dozens of transport links and Bartlett Park quite literally on the doorstep. The Poplar Union sits just opposite the park offering in-house roasted coffee and baked goods, plus 2 performance studios for live music, yoga, rehearsals and more. A superb space to work in for those who work remotely and great for families with a warm and welcoming feeling.

Fizzy pride themselves on being the ultimate pet-friendly landlord and this is true with their well stocked pet stations at the building’s entrance. This year, there was even a Christmas hamper left for all the furry friends to join in the festive fun. So nice and thoughtful.

The Poplar site has great concierge services so that you never miss a parcel (and if you do then you know its safe) and an on-site residents gym; a relatively well equipped work-out zone to keep active. A new outdoor gym, dog-walking area and accessible playground are planned for development in the neighbouring Bartlett park making this an even more exciting place to want to live for tenants of any kind.

Fizzy also throw great icebreakers and get-togethers for the residents, further developing the atmosphere that makes its residents want to stay so long. Many of the people we’ve met in the building have been there for several years and are so happy they don’t plan on moving any time soon. I’m confident that we fall into this bracket as well!

We’ve loved our Fizzy experience and expect that we shall continue to for the foreseeable. Highly recommended.

Please review the location of this development:

Fizzy Poplar boasts superb amenities, great transport links, access to shopping and green spaces. The only downside is that once you get onto the street outside of the development, the quality drop is immediately evident. There is a big problem with persistant dog fouling on the pavement as well as dozens of laughing gas canisters often littering the street. This has nothing to do with Fizzy as such, but is still a bit of a pain nonetheless.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

On-street parking around the area is very limited, as is the underground parking.

Since we moved in on October 2018 we have met a lot of friendly residents who live in Navis house and the surrounding buildings. Our building manager is always available for help and advice and greets everyone with a big smile. Our dog, Lara has made a lot of new furry friends and enjoys coming back to the reception for a treat from one of the jars for the four legged residents.

Please review the location of this development:

Excellent transport links are close by. All saints, Langdon park and westferry dlr stations are all close by. It’s just a short walk to Chrisp street market and Canary Wharf is also within a 10 minute walk away. Also there is a choice of take away restaurants to satisfy every craving.

Great community, great Bulidng Manager

Verified Resident

The neighbourhood remains very residential and is missing café culture at its door step for the value that we are paying. Our building manager is very friendly and extremely hard working. She actions things straight away and is always quick to reply and update us on progress.

#Livingthedream

Verified Resident

It’s difficult as Poplar is not the most desirable of areas to live. There have been problems with drugs, gangs, and youths etc. But that is not Fizzy’s fault but any stretch of the means. It’s what happens when you try and build better foundations around an area that is already quite rundown. I really enjoy living in Fizzy, have been there from the start and do not plan to move. Tyra is great as well, has done a lot to get things sorted and would recommend her highly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I knew the area really well and so nothing to add here.
