Loving Our Lockdown Life!

The building and surrounding area is ideally situated and the development is modern, clean and well proportioned.

We actually ended up having a live virtual tour as couldn’t be there due to COVID but the tour was excellent and seeing the flat was even better than expected.

A shout out to the BOBs too they manage the properties very well indeed and always respond quickly to any issues should they arise.

All in all an absolute pleasure to be a tenant with Fizzy, couldn’t recommend highly enough .

All mod cons and everything works the way you expect – one particular aspect we enjoy is the sound proofing on windows and doors as city life can sometimes be loud at times.

We’ve lived in similar places before but this development is easily the best one yet and we intend to stay for a long while yet.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Living in Lewisham is great. Despite us moving into our lovely new Fizzy abode during lockdown we have enjoyed the area immensely. The local area has great amenities a short distance walk and whilst there are only a few bars and restaurants living so close to places like Greenwich and Blackfriars more than makes up for this.

Transport links are also spot on; with DLR and overground running multiple services regularly – is an ideal location .

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The Fizzy app is very good for community groups and gives a good flavour of what others do and think about the area, so perhaps letting respective tenants down kind of similar access could be of benefit .

What is the best feature of your home:

Best feature is how modern and fresh the flat is. All mod cons too makes it very nice place to spend time in.
Location too is a definite plus point.

Great location but super noisy

There is a small green space by the building but recently it had been changed to a not-dog-friendly zone….which is a bummer. I have two dogs and i need a green space for my doggos for their quick doggy break but, if they are going to continue to be strict then what’s the point of having that patch of green space..?? I heard that part of our rent is to pay for the maintenance of the area so, i am not really happy about that.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love the location. The train/DLR station and different bus routes right at the doorstep. Grogery shopping is super easy because tesco, sainsburys and M&S are within walking distance. Super convenient to live here BUT the downside is the noise. Living right by the station means you hear the trains, and at times drunk people on Friday nights trying to catch the last train home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didnt know that if you rented furnished and lived for over certain periods of time, the furnitures become yours…if i have known that i would have rented furnished.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Reported some issues right after moving in. Super minor issues but it took a while to get it fixed…

On a side note, the elevatir keeps breaking down…!

I wish I could give Fizzy Lewisham a better review – the flats themselves are lovely, well designed with big windows and nice balconies, and the on-site team (Helen & Emelie) are great. BUT…

We have been driven out of our home by the CONSTANT construction noise next door. It is non stop 8am-9pm Monday to Saturday and the builders don’t care they sometimes even work to midnight!! We tried speaking to them and they ignored us and the council don’t seem to care either. The management at Fizzy don’t care either and there are lots of people moving out because of it. You can’t sleep or concentrate on anything because of the noise and we have decided to move out too which sucks!

Wish I could recommend this place to stay but as the building work is due to last to 2023 I say avoid this place!

Good: Great transport links to Canary Wharf (work) and Central London – London Bridge is only 10 mins by train

Wish I had know that the builders would be working 13 hours a day six days a week!!!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

On site management are fantastic. However the higher up management don’t seem to care and have made no attempt to engage with residents concerns about construction noise

We appreciate the issues around the surrounding area and building work disruption that you experienced during your time living with Fizzy. We have a relationship with the contractors and Lewisham Council and we will continue to do what we can to ensure works are completed within the legal parameters, and noisy works conducted during standard working hours only. We have offered tenants the option of moving within the building which some have taken up – we are sorry we couldn’t find a solution that worked for you in this instance. This building is very good.

This building design is very good, for parking and entrance are very convenient. We have sport centers facilities which have swimming pools and other sports facilities. I enjoy it very much. Interior decoration is very good. The color are light color. Matching all building.

I have not meet any new neighbor.

Perfect home in a perfect area

The all of the aspects are ideal. However, the flat doors could do with a bell/ring system to ensure that the guests and deliveries are not missed. Also, the intercom is sometimes not responding and commands. Finally, the communications with some FiZzy facilities could improve like more accurate repair timings and better feedback.

The neighborhood is ideal with perfect location and proximity to the local infrastructure. The staff and the neighbors are very helpful and friendly too!

Really love our apartment. It’s got plenty of space and natural light, and the balcony is actually a really good size too. We’re high enough to have a great view of London, though you could also see it from the roof terrace if not.
The kitchen has a ton of cupboard space for all my pots and gadgets, unlike most London kitchens, which was a major plus. We have a 2-bed and the bedrooms are spacious and airy, and it’s great to have the two bathrooms. The only room that isn’t huge is the living room, but I like that the bedrooms are more generous in proportion.
I have dust allergies so the wooden floors and no carpet are SUCH a boon. We also now have a dog and it’s so good to live in a pet-friendly apartment. Our puppy has loads of pals in the building.
Can’t complain at all about the building/property management. Everything is always kept very clean by the friendly staff, and the BOBs are super helpful and quick to respond to issues.

I’ve been living at Fizzy for over two years now and absolutely love it. Super convenient to get into London. 10 mins/1 stop to London Bridge, and you can be at Charing Cross in 20 mins to walk into Soho, Covent Garden or Oxford Street. Direct train to London Victoria as well as Cannon Street, plus DLR to Bank. Don’t forget that the train station is literally two minutes away, plus there are tons of bus stops all around this area and a row of black cabs just out in front.

Lewisham is good for all your basic needs: 3 big supermarkets plus quite a few little ones all within walking distance. Shopping mall has shops like WHSmith, Flying Tiger, TKMaxx, Argos, Wilko, Boots, etc along with a couple of cafe chains like Costa and Starbucks. It’s more limited for restaurants but both Blackheath and Greenwich are super close and have great options for that if you don’t fancy Central London.
If you have a dog, so many great parks around and everyone is very friendly and respectful. If you’ve never lived in Lewisham (I hadn’t before) I know it has an unsavoury reputation, but I’ve only had good experiences here.
The only thing to flag is there is a lot of building and construction work going on just behind the building. The windows are triple glazed so you won’t hear it if your windows are closed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly, I do not feel unsafe at all. It helps that you have to have a fob to both into the building but also, once you’re in, to summon the lift up.

What is the best feature of your home:

The floor-to-ceiling windows. Especially after having to work from home for over a year during this pandemic, all the natural light has been so vital and has helped it feel less restrictive.

Great building loved living here great value for money. The building managers are very helpful and there is 24 hour services for repairs.
I’ve always felt very secure in this building and it has a great sense of community.
Access to local shops / food drink and local bus and train station is a stones throw away!

Personally speaking, communal facilities are at very good state if not excellent and i love my block is dog friendly.
My flat is modern and everything was in good order and at great condition.
Despite my flat is on the side of the train station, noise levels are not high when windows are open. And not existent when they are closed.

I love the location of my flat because it is next to Lewisham station that is well connected to central london and everywhere and also to Lewisham market.

I have not experienced anything negative since the day i moved in that i wish i had known beforehand

The layout out of our flat is great and the perfect size for the two of us, plus the building designers have cleverly thought of using large windows to introduce light into every room. The fittings and furniture are stylish in both our flat and in the reception area creating a cosy feel to the building. The property is managed fabulously, where any issues such as repairs, deliveries and queries are resolved via email or text with the concierge team.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I’ve been living now in Lewisham for a couple of months and I can say it has exceeding expectations.
Lewisham shopping Centre has pretty much everything you need and the large Tesco opposite the flat is super ideal. The local bars near the DLR station are very accommodating and make amazing pizza. Plus the transport links means you can effortlessly scoot to London bridge in 11 mins, Blackheath in 2 mins on the national rail, and Greenwhich in 5 mins on the DLR. Finally I originally thought the location would be to noisy, but the triple glazed windows have solved that issue.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the flat comes with a fold up bike and there is a communal roof terrace we can use.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The ability to let visiting guests use the lift without coming down to meet them. Also being able to recycle food waste separately from household rubbish.

The interior is really nice with plenty of kitchen cupboards and a nice modern bathroom. Rooms are specious and the large windows means that it feels airy and light. The building management is really helpful and it’s a nice place to live for people looking for somewhere quiet that is well connected.

I moved in at Christmas. It was really easy and convenient. The building is right next to a train station and a large super market and there is very little noise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

When I moved in, I used the key fob to open the main door and move my stuff through that. I have since discovered that many people open the double fire doors instead which are much bigger and nearer to where you can park. This would have made it easier if I had known I could open these.

What is the best feature of your home:

It’s really quiet and private. I like that I don’t feel overlooked and that there is no noise in the evenings.

The building management is absolutely amazing nothing bad to say about it always there when you need them, there is always someone to talk to you and your problem is always solved. The design of the building is so beautiful that is what drew me closer to moving there in the first place .

There are a lot of shops and restaurants in this area including a shopping centre with lovely owners, friendly bin collectors and no traffic disruptions

I wished i knew beautiful the view was and how lovely the area is before I came, I would’ve moved in sooner .

They are always on top of my problem within minutes, noting bad to say about it to be honest.
