Flat itself is great

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good aspect is that it is so close to public transport - very accessible. Parking availability isn't ideal - especially when trying to get large furniture dropped off. Bin collection seems fine for now - weekly. I do feel there is a bit of anti social behaviour - at times there is a lot of noise coming from towards the student flats at all hours of the night, and also groups who don't actually live on the complex gather in the communal spots smoking weed - which isn't a great smell to have coming in from your balcony. Plenty of green space in the surrounding areas - got to get used to the flies though, they are everywhere! Great breweries within walking distance, and not too far a walk to the Village. Some close by brunch spots exist, but ideally there would be more options, but there is a great local restaurant within 5 mins walk called Slowburn. At the moment there is F45 and a yoga studio and a climbing wall, but another more reasonably priced gym in the area would be ideal. Coop is so close by if you need to grab something - but better supermarkets are a bit further away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes - they have an online portal which you can log things on.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The amount of flies in the area from the water. The smell of weed in surrounding areas.

Walthamstow is buzzing with unique shops, restaurants and breweries. Great transport links- within 15 minutes you are in the centre of London. Plenty of local amenities and the area has a real sense of community.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management have been very responsive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Keeping informed about what the commercial spaces below will be used for.

I get zero natural light in my livingroom.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s a great location, close to the tube and to the wetlands for walks. Super easy to get in to central london and close to my friends and family in Walthamstow. There’s no traffic noise, and neighbours seem friendly. However there is zero parking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Usually responses are quick and efficient whenever there is a problem.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew how much the building door slamming would shake my bedroom. I wish I knew that if there is a defect in the flat, I only have a couple months to get it fixed rather than a whole year.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bustling area a few minute walk away from Blackhorse Road station which has speedy links to central London. We are bordered by Tottenham- which has a large retail park filled with shops and also canals to take a leisurely stroll and see the cute boats on the water. Various cafes, bars and restaurants around. Also a few breweries where you can catch some good live music. I feel very safe in my building as there are 2 doors which can only be entered with your own fob key. We have a ‘bin store’ which is fantastic- just pop downstairs (again entry is granted via a fob key) 24/7 which is so convenient We are next door to the wetlands which is a beautiful outdoor nature filled space to go for a walk, bike ride or even fishing if that’s your thing. The negatives are it can be noisy living across from Student halls however not ever flat faces them. There is also no parking available if you drive but that doesn’t affect me as I don’t drive and the transport links are very good here- lots of buses, London Underground and overground.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that no pets were allowed, it’s very ambiguous on the contract. Lovely surprise to see the ‘cycle store’ where I can keep my bicycle

It’s peaceful however the downside is no parking available for the locals and their family

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that we needed to protect ourselves from mosquitoes when our windows are wide open at night.
