Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

pros: close to elizabeth line and transportation close to shops cons parking: difficult on street, make sure to get one with your property bin collection: so far it’s good traffic noise: noisy if you don’t close your windows anti-social behaviour: lots of drunkards, smokers and party people (they can be really loud even at 3am)

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

still in progress, or getting a quote from a contractor…and this takes a lot of months to wait

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Buy a real house, most newly built flats are just nice for a month, after that they won’t care about you, your flat and specially the whole building

You are 3 min from Hayes and Harlington station, which is such a luxury. However, we are missing some coffee shops and nice bars to go to. A gym is to open on our street soon so that’s a positive but would be good to get more gems like this so more young people can move into the development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That our flat (even though on the 1st floor) is on the level ground with the courtyard and lots of people are passing by our windows every day. We thought we were buying a flat on the first floor with more privacy.

What is the best feature of your home:

Large terrace in the back of the flat. It’s far from the noise of the road and feels cosy.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very good range of local supermarkets and the train station is only a 2 minute walk away. Easy to get to Ealing, White City and Paddington. Heathrow is only 2-3 km away but thankfully no noise from planes. Not much traffic noise either. Plenty of takeaway but Hayes is lacking in good quality bars, cafes, and restaurants but I would expect that to improve in the coming years as the regeneration nears completion. I haven't had any direct experience of anti-social behaviour but there have been some notable instances in the media. In my opinion, Blyth Road needs some additional road sweeping as it transitions from a semi industrial to a residential zoning.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management have been very approachable and acted quickly when issues were flagged. They have also communicated well via text, email, and in person to keep me appraised of ongoing fixes.
