Good development, well run

Well built and good finish – everything was in good condition when we moved in. Overall a nice standard of fittings, and efficient use of space in the flat.

Property team are great – any issues are resolved promptly, and they are always friendly and helpful.

Parcel room can be a bit of a mess – mainly due to couriers not properly scanning in parcels/leaving them in right place. Probably the one area where a better system would help.

Gym and roof terrace are good.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great area, especially as more and more things come to the power station.
Good for transport with rail, 2x tube lines, and boat all within 15mins walk – new walking route to Vauxhall through the linear park is making this more pleasant too. Relatively easy cycle routes from here.

On the whole a quiet neighbourhood and local area feels safe. Big supermarket 2mins walk away for stocking up.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No real surprises from what we first saw when looking around.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responded well – had a couple of small issues – one noise, and one with an appliance when we moved in. Both sorted promptly and no further problems.

Like living in Soho House!

Bloom East is a lovely development! I describe it as a mix between members club / hotel kind of vibe. Chic, sophisticated, but not too stuffy or soulless!
State of the art facilities and relaxation areas that are never so full that you feel on top of one another, and lots of thoughtful events put on for members to encourage a sense of community. Would highly recommend.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We love living at Bloom Nine Elms! There are some great restaurants on the doorstep and at Embassy Gardens, plus all the amenities at the Power Station. The open space at the front of the building and when the open up the development behind will be game changing – so long as it is well maintained.
Generally I feel the council are less proactive on street cleaning than I would expect – for example, after the Palestine protest in November the streets were still litter strewn for a number of days afterwards. There is also a long white paint mark on the paving which hasn’t been cleaned. Parking availability isn’t fantastic, even with single yellow lines.

There isn’t a convenient place to return parcels as the post office is a significant distance away (especially for larger items which is not practical to carry). Some sort of in-development solution (like www.bringme.com) would be great.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That a portion of the scheme is air bnb / urban rest style apartments which makes the demographic and facilities feel quite transient and less like a familiar community.
Our expectations were that we would have met more people who were “up for” making new friends. I don’t think this has quite transpired as we hoped, but people in the lift seem friendly enough.

The bookable areas are too expensive to privately hire. An offer of some sort of discount per household once a year would be nice, or alternatively a sliding scale so that it is cheaper on Monday – Thursday.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

See above – I do think management has responsiveness issues, this is not helped by the fact that the representatives on front desk do not seem to have sufficient authority to escalate issues which is concerning.

A great place to live

Bloom has surpassed our high expectations. We previously owned our own flat but sold up and wanted somewhere with high standard of service and fantastic on site facilities. The management team do a great job with the building and everything is always clean and tidy. Given it’s still gradually opening (and there are some serviced apartment occupiers) it feels a little transient but am sure it will developer a stronger community in time.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Whilst the transport links and adjacent Battersea Power Station are excellent, there is some minor disruption from ongoing construction work.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

N/a – everything was clearly explained to us before we moved in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes – nearly always very satisfied. They pick up and respond in a courteous and efficient manner. The team on reception are friendly and welcoming.

The rooftop swimming pool is a really nice touch for the warmer month

Verified Resident

Review Date Nov 2023

The team are friendly and efficient – great facilities. The rooftop swimming pool is a really nice touch for the warmer months and lots of break out areas to work or relax. I’m looking forward to the internal pool opening! The post room can fill up quickly and a personal access code may be more efficient for access.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good location, great transport links and local amenities. The river is close by for walks. Battersea Power Station just along the road!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The outdoor children’s play area is regularly used by residents and their dogs – instead of taking them outside for a walk they allow them to urinate on the artificial grass here (which is unhygienic) this puts me off taking my child to use it as regularly as I would like to which is a shame. I think either a firm ‘no dog walkers’ in this area or a separate area for dogs would be better.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes – very quickly. If I have had any issues, which have been minimal, i email and received a response that day.

It is an expensive apartment, but is a nice space to live

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Nov 2023

The management attitude and responsive of this property is not great. They often take quite a while to reply to emails and correspondence, especially prior to the move in process. The online portal and rent payment process is not overly intuitive.
The apartment itself is nice and spacious, is well insulated from a sound perspective, and has great amenities. It is an expensive apartment, but is a nice space to live.
Management is definitely the downside of this apartment.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area itself is great – very close to two key tube stations, shopping, parks and open green spaces. Bins are cleaned and collected regularly. Other tenants are pleasant and there’s no noise issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The overall process for setting up gas and electricity is confusing, and it appears that you can only go with Greystar’s providers, which is not correct. This really should be better communicated.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been overall slow to respond to emails, sometimes requiring several follow ups. The attitude of the team at the desk is often blunt and not welcoming.

Beautiful design, perfect management, all good. The entrance smells very good, the gym is great and the lessons too. The cheminy looks great, and the game place too. Love the rooftop, would be great if people can respect a bit more and not leaving their stuff upstairs. Also would be great sometimes to have a deink on the rooftop after modnight. Love this place !

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Nice shops around, amazing facilities. Always in great condition. Safe area. Would just like some detergent and paper at the gym so people can clean their machine after they used it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew it was that great ! Really enjoying leaving here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I never had any issues. Everything went well. Would be great to don’t have to ask the code to the parcel all the time.

It’s nice but not getting what I’m paying for

Review Date Nov 2023

There’s no doubt that the building looks gorgeous and there are great facilities but they’re underused.
There are a number of accessibility problems which are very disappointing. I feel like these were minimised or not fully understood when I was viewing the apartment and I’m quite disappointed about that.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location is perfect. It’s got transport links on the doorstep and very close to brilliant shops, restaurants and facilities.
It’s not sound proof though and the constant noise from the surrounding construction work can be really annoying.
Also, it’s a shame that the brilliant facilities are under-utilised. There’s a beautiful bar but so far there hasn’t been any general community events organised. I understand that this is a work in progress but it feels disappointing to have paid to a very high rent in the understanding that there would be access to facilities and regular community events when there is not.
I’m also very disappointed that deliveries do not get delivered to your own front door. This is really unhelpful for residents with mobility issues and causes more problems. Had I known all this before moving in, I would not have moved here.
I’m just seeing on this questionnaire that there’s a residents app. I have never been told about this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That deliveries would be dumped in the post room and food service deliveries etc are not allowed to your front door. I took an apartment close to the lift specifically because I have limited mobility and I thought this would be helpful. Because I cannot get my own deliveries to my door, this means walking to the lifts on the other side of the building to go downstairs. Very disability unfriendly.
I was also led to believe that the bar on the 17th floor was manned and was something of a community hub. It’s a shame to discover that isn’t the case.
That there is an app and I have not had any information about it.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t raised any yet but i will find out tomorrow when I enquire about the app

Highly recommend!

Bloom has the best facilities in the area, as I have seen some friends’ places and there is a big difference in the amenities and quality of the apartments. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and tend to issues promptly.
There are many shared spaces that make it enjoyable to hang out in the building especially when friends are around. We are enjoying our stay so far!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Bloom is by far the best place we have lived. We have young children and there are many facilities within walking distance that make it easier to take them out in a safe and friendly neighborhood. If we did want to venture out, there are 3 accessible stations within walking distance which is very useful (vauxhall, Battersea power station, and Nine elms).
We have a waitrose within 2 mins and a massive sainsburys within 12 minutes.
There are also a few parks that are very well kept that we enjoy going to.
The biggest attraction that we frequent is the power station which is a nice indoor and outdoor space that has many different shops, restaurants and cafes.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I would fault, is the parcel room. It can be very difficult sometimes to find out parcels and we dread going there when we have a delivery. I understand that the delivery people sometimes don’t abide by the system placed so I wish there could be a way to deliver parcels to doorstep.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very professionally and promptly respond to jobs raised.

All my guests and myself love the design and concierge is super friendly. I love the 17th floor the view of skyline is just WOW 🤩, I spend a lot of my free time just hanging there. I have yet to explore the new pool that just opened up as well, can’t wait to take a dip!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location could not be more prefect, tube station is close and Battersea power station is great with all the events taking place there, there also good places to eat around!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing to recommend, it’s just perfect! Everyone is just so warm and welcoming!!

Love living at Bloom!

Review Date Nov 2023

The amenities at Bloom are top-notch, the building is always clean and the staff has been very helpful and welcoming. All the staff I have met so far has been lovely to deal with and made me feel at home from day one.
I love the way the communal area are styled and furnished.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Nine Elms is a great area to live in, it’s safe, central and there’s always something new popping up.
It’s well connected by tube, train and buses and although Nine Elms Lane is a busy road the traffic noise is minimal.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really, any question i had before moving in was answered in detail and promptly

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management has always responded promptly to any emails or enquiries i have made and both the front of house staff and maintenance team have been really prompt in their response and dealing with any issues.

The entrance and reception are nice and friendly

Facilties are good but the pool needs to have lights at night. It would be good if you could book rooms on the day for cheaper if they are not taken. It would be good if you could get fobs for guests occasionally. The entrance and reception are nice and friendly and I enjoy living here. Hoping the rent doesn’t go up too much
Would be good to have a group chat or community or friend making events

It’s good but could be more takeaways or fast food options
My street feel safe although lots of building work on at the moment
