Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Broadside offers a great location, the flats are lovely with great views and catch the sun at all points of the day. The variety of local bars and shops is fantastic. The management team and concierge are responsive and have responded to any maintenance issues promptly each time.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly and have resolved issue quickly each time any maintenance problems have arose

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Being adjacent to the main road and nearby the fire station, it can be quite noisy at times of busy traffic.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is in the heart of Northern Quarter/Ancoats, close to bus/tram/train links and lots of bars and restaurants nearby! There is private parking under the building but also lots of fairly reasonable public parking nearby. There is a fair bit of noise outside from the local fire station & general busy-ness of town but that’s to be expected!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quick response to maintenance concerns with some even being sorted same-day

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

About the events! They’re such a positive aspect of living here and the team put lots of thought and energy into setting them up

Exceptional Management and a Great Location

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is in a perfect location, offering the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. Situated close to the city center, it's a short walk to both the Metrolink and Piccadilly bus station, providing excellent and reliable transport links. The local area is well-equipped with amenities, including a variety of shops, supermarkets, a shopping mall, and numerous restaurants, all within easy reach. The street is very quiet, and I've experienced no anti-social behaviour or traffic noise. The overall convenience and peaceful atmosphere make it a wonderful place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The on-site management team's responsiveness to maintenance issues is impressive. My kitchen sink clogged earlier, and after I informed the management one afternoon, the maintenance technician, Dave, came the very next morning. He was incredibly professional, fixed the issue in just ten minutes, and was very friendly. This kind of prompt and effective service gives residents immense peace of mind.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is the rapid pace of residential development in the area. A significant number of new buildings have been constructed, which has resulted in less natural sunlight reaching my apartment and the surrounding area.

Manager response

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It truly means a lot to us to hear your kind words about the team, the events, and the way we run the building. We’re so glad you’ve enjoyed the community activities—especially the cake decoration workshop—and it’s wonderful to know they’ve helped bring neighbours together. Your appreciation for Ambrose, Dave, and the rest of the team will absolutely make their day. We take great pride in providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment, so knowing that it’s had such a positive impact on your living experience is incredibly rewarding. We also really value your honest feedback about the area’s rapid development and the impact on natural light—it’s something we’ll continue to keep in mind when supporting our residents. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation - it truly means a great deal to us.

Well-Designed Development with Great Facilities and Strong Community Feel

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my local area is generally very pleasant. There’s a good range of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, offering a variety of cuisines and essentials. Open spaces and parks are well-maintained, making it easy to enjoy outdoor activities. Public transport links are convenient, with frequent buses and nearby train stations, though traffic can get heavy during rush hour. My street is quiet and friendly, with decent parking availability and reliable bin collections. Anti-social behaviour is rare, and overall, it’s a safe and welcoming place to live

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Kary and Sajina from the building management team have been very responsive and professional, always addressing issues promptly and keeping residents well-informed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that parking spaces are very limited and not available to all residents, as I do not have a dedicated parking space. It would have helped to plan alternative parking arrangements in advance. However, the community here is very friendly and welcoming, which is a big positive

Good Experience and Excellent Support from Staff

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is generally convenient and student-friendly. There are several shops, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance, offering a variety of options. Public transport links are reliable, with regular buses and trains making it easy to reach the city centre. The neighbourhood is mostly quiet and safe, with clean streets and decent lighting at night. Bin collections are consistent, and I haven’t experienced any anti-social behaviour. One minor downside is the occasional traffic noise during rush hours, but overall it's a pleasant area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been generally responsive and helpful. Whenever I raised an issue, it was usually addressed within a reasonable time. While not everything was resolved immediately, the team – especially Kary – always followed up and made an effort to assist. Overall, I’m satisfied with how things were handled.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Also, the heating system can take a little time to get used to, especially during the colder months. I would recommend new tenants check it properly on the first day. Apart from that, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful the building is—even during exam seasons, it remains a good environment for studying and resting. A tip for new neighbours: be proactive in communicating with the building staff—they are super helpful and responsive, especially Kary!
