Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location of the Blockhouse is perfect as it sits right in the heart of Brighton. You walk out of the building and you are right next to the Laines. There are numerous coffee shops, cute independent businesses and smiley faces right at your doorstep. Living in The Blockhouse means to truly experience what Brighton is. I think a lot of other BTRs in the city are quite remote and you miss out from what is happening, but The Blockhouse is unique in that you get to live in luxury whilst also being in the centre. In terms of transport links, you are a 7' walk from the train station which goes to London in an hour. There are also 3 different bus stops (2 behind the building and 1 on the side) which connect you to the entire city and there are buses literally every 3 minutes. For parking availability you can ask the building to see if there is a free car park space to reserve inside the premises but if not, I used the Trafalgar street car park my first year living here and it was absolutely fine, nor did I ever have any concerns about anti-social behaviour. It's in a location that is well connected and so even as a single woman I felt completely safe walking home at night.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Responded right away (if it was working hours), listened to me and resolved the issue as quickly as possible!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew how easy it would be to move to a new city by myself because when I moved to The Blockhouse I genuinely felt like I had a community. If you are thinking of moving in here, do it!! It's a lovely space and the residents try to look after it and it's quite nice to have events to get to know your neighbours.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in The Blockhouse means we are able to be in the center of Brighton, close to transport and loads of great activities! Even so, it is super quiet and relaxed.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Range of shops is excellent. Very close to everything. Various transport links are also close by which is extremely handy. Parking is limited unfortunately as I would like to secure a space in order to leave a car inside the development. Bin collections are frequent enough. Anti-social behaviour outside the block is noticeable in one corner of the building which is where I am. Security always on site though I feel safe. Only issue I have as I am the closest flat to it, is the noise of trucks as they deliver to the local supermarket opposite the road. It is so loud it wakes me up frequently at night.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Relatively quickly and always in a professional and approachable manner.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That the vent above the cooker did not lead anywhere. It leads to the fire alarm going off.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is fantastic, being so central, you’re only a short walk from anywhere you need to go. A few minutes from the laines, 5 minutes from the station, 10 minutes from the beach. Additionally, parking options are such a helpful thing to have, especially in a town like Brighton! The street is nice and quiet, despite its close proximity to busy areas like Sydney Street or Kensington Gardens, it’s very peaceful and have never had any issues with noise, despite being opposite the Met College.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
To start with, I never really had any major issues during my residency to begin with, but with any minor issues, the building management were always quick to respond and ready to resolve, which is honestly such a refreshing experience.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I thought the viewings were quite thorough, including a full tour of the development and its amenities. Any questions we had were answered promptly.
