City-centre living without the noise and hassle

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I absolutely love the location of the building as everything is 5-10 mins walk since it’s in the center. This also means a wide range of options for food and household deliveries which is really convenient. The docks are also a 5 min walk which is great for socializing and walking pets. Best of all, it’s tucked away in a quiet corner from all the noise and traffic in L1 or the heart of the city center. Also, there’s lots of parking options if you have guests including an NCP car park on the same street. No complaints, it’s been lovely enjoying city center living in a quiet neighbourhood.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, I had raised an issue with my doors and some plumbing and that was dealt with very swiftly within 48 hours. Amazing communication and the staff have been very accommodating.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really, like I said said it’s been a positive experience so far and I’m looking forward to spending more years to come here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very convenient as it's close to the City Centre with good access to public transport and shopping. Parking is bit of an issue and is paid in almost all places.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management responded to almost 80% of issues on time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The sensor lock system for apartment main door took 12-16 weeks for replacement as it had to arrive from Germany which I felt is too long.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Pall Mall Press is conveniently located on a quiet road a short walk away from convenience stores, Moorfields train station, salons, coffee shops and cafes, the commercial business district, and the beautiful waterfront. It is mostly quiet, which is amazing given the location - basically in the city centre.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues or questions I have had have always been dealt with promptly by the maintenance staff who are on site every day. I forgot my keys for the first time in my entire life and Mosin was kind enough to promptly get me into the building as soon as he recognised I was panicking, and he was even kind enough to remind me it was nothing to be embarrassed about.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is no bin chute - but I am used to this now and have realised there is less of a worry with the bin room method we have here about pet mess being a horrible job for someone to clean up if any bags were to break as per my previous living arrangements that had bin chutes! Only “negative” I can think of. I also wish I had known I would meet a mix of cultures - I have one very good friend I was lucky enough to meet in my first two months of living here, from India, and our friendship has brought me so much joy and gratitude and immersion in our culture (my father is from India). I would have maybe not been so stressed moving in if I’d known for certain how lovely everyone - staff, residents - are

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are nice cafes nearby. There are two supermarkets where you can do shopping conveniently. A big retail park is just one tube station apart. The Victoria line and overground stations are just 5 minutes walk from my property. Bins are collected regularly and the surrounding environment is clean.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management team has generally been helpful and responsive when problems or maintenance issues have been raised. Most issues have been acknowledged and dealt with within a reasonable timeframe, although communication and response times could occasionally be improved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There are limited parking space. If you have a car, better check out the information with the conciege staff when you view the property.

Equipment Works, E17

Aug 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I have enjoyed living at Equipment Works. The area has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, with plenty of options within walking distance. There are also several parks and open spaces nearby, which is a big advantage for enjoying walks and relaxing outdoors. Transport links are generally convenient, with good access to buses and nearby Overground and Tube stations, although journeys can be busy during peak hours. The development itself is modern and generally quiet, and I have found the neighbourhood reasonably safe and pleasant. Overall, I find the location convenient and the area a good place to live, especially for access to shops, transport and green spaces.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has generally responded promptly and professionally to issues raised.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that the common areas can be quite busy on weekdays, particularly during commuting hours. However, the shared spaces are generally well maintained and pleasant. Overall, it is a modern and convenient development, and I would recommend new neighbours visit at different times of the day to get a better feel for the atmosphere.
