Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is generally convenient, with good access to shops, restaurants, and public transport links. Transport connections make it easy to get around for my GF, and the area feels reasonably well maintained. Parking can sometimes be limited which is my biggest fustration personally. I'm currently paying 416 pounds every 3 months for parking. Wish kangaroo works could strike a deal with NCP. or not be desiganted as a Car free building with the council, so parking permits are available, But overall it is a practical and comfortable place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When the shower broke, we were provided with access to another room to use the shower, which was appreciated. Our window did take longer than expected to be fixed, which was the least favourable experience. However, communication throughout the process was consistent and we were kept informed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing fully surprised me after moving in. However, it was a little frustrating that when our table broke, there were no affordable replacement options available, which is something I would have liked to have known in advance.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s super close to town and everything is in walkable distance. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby as well as supermarkets. It’s not too loud either considering how close it is to the city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They’ve always been quick to respond and sort out the issue

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The parking can be a bit of a hassle and the area is pricy but the location is great.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living around Kangaroo Works in Sheffield is really convenient, especially as a student. There are good local food options, including a taco place right beneath the building, as well as other shops and restaurants nearby. Transport links are excellent, making it easy to get to the city centre, university, and other parts of Sheffield. The area feels lively but generally safe, and everything you need is within walking distance. Parking can be limited at busy times, but overall the location is very practical and enjoyable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has generally been responsive and helpful. Any issues I raised were acknowledged quickly and resolved in a reasonable timeframe, and communication has been clear throughout.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about how the bills work before moving in. While everything is manageable, it would have been helpful to better understand what is included, how costs are calculated, and what to expect on a monthly basis as a student.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There’s a Tesco express nearby and only a short walk into the city centre so it’s a great location without being right in the hustle and bustle. Moorfields station is round the corner which is super handy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have acted straightaway and come to sort things.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How great the courtyard is - perfect for our dog to run around in an enclosed area :) Only thing to note is that the electricity bills are quite high in comparison to our previous apartment. It seems to be common across all residents we’ve spoken to. With a similar usage as our old place, it’s about £50-60 more a month.
