Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is a short walking distance to the city centre where you would find the best eateries, top shops and entertainments that you can easily spend a whole day there.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues with our apartment are usually dealt promptly. I can recall one occasion when our door lock failed to work; it was late at night so there was very little the team could do but wait for it to be fixed the next day. I was reassured by the night staff that he would keep on eyes on our flat and he would come up to the flat and help anytime we felt he was needed. To this day, we are still grateful for that little extra comfort we were given.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I believe that it would be useful to let potential tenants know that this is a pet-friendly building so that people are aware that they will run into furry four legs. As a pet owner myself, I can proudly say that we are highly disciplined pet owners.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is close to the city centre and in particular the bullring only a 10-15 min walk. There is a very popular restaurant along the road which is really ideal. There are also small convenience stores with one just a 5 min walk away. There is visitor parking on the street behind hairpin house Warwick street which is ideal for any visitors.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management is always on hand for any queries and questions the residents have.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have preferred a few bays for visitor parking even if there is a small charge. It just makes it ideal and convenient when visitors esp those with young children visit.

Frustrating Management Overshadows Good Facilities

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area has very limited shops — only a small corner shop nearby, otherwise a 15+ min walk to small supermarkets. There is one bus stop in front of the building, but buses are often crowded and sometimes skip the stop during peak hours. Roadworks over the past two years have affected bus and walking routes, with overground stations a 15–20 min walk and the underground about 30 min. The overground often experiences delays. Parking is difficult, though there is a car park across the street. Traffic noise is low, but the train track right across the building causes vibrations and noise despite good insulation. On the positive side, there’s a nice park 10 min away and Westfield is about a 30 min walk.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management at ILA (iLiveAround) has mostly ignored emails and requests, rarely providing updates or support when problems arise

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how unresponsive the building management (ILA/iLiveAround) can be. Emails and requests are often ignored, and during past issues like power outages or heating problems, residents had to manage much of the inconvenience themselves. Also, the area has limited shops nearby, and transport can be crowded or delayed. It’s worth knowing that while the flats and insulation are good, day-to-day support and communication from management can be very frustrating.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Always good , northern quarter on your door step loads of bars and restraints everywhere quick to get to and quick to get home.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly, Ruby, Ted and Holly are always great! They’re always fast to responce

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Noise, from right side of building until 2am some nights which has caused a lot of sleeping issues which on viewing we were told wouldn’t be an issue.

Manager response

It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying the facilities, the convenience of the location, and that you’ve had positive experiences with the team. We’ll be sure to pass on your kind comments to Ruby, Ted, and Holly - they’ll be delighted to hear this. We’re sorry to hear that noise from the right side of the building has been affecting your sleep. Thanks again for your feedback – it really helps us continue to improve the experience for all residents.
