Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my local area has its strengths and weaknesses. On the plus side, there’s a decent range of local shops, with a mix of independent stores and larger chains, though some could benefit from better variety. Restaurants and bars are generally good, offering a friendly atmosphere and a range of cuisines, though they can get quite busy on weekends. The open spaces are a real highlight — well-kept parks and green areas make it easy to enjoy the outdoors. Transport links are fairly convenient, with regular bus services and a nearby train station, but services can be less reliable during peak times and weekends. Parking on my street is often a challenge, as spaces fill up quickly, and traffic noise can be noticeable during rush hour. Bin collections are usually on schedule, but occasionally missed. Anti-social behaviour isn’t a major issue, though there are occasional late-night disturbances. Overall, it’s a good area with room for improvement in transport and street-level convenience.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been responsive and professional whenever I’ve raised issues. Rob Tom at the reception desk has been especially helpful and patient, always willing to assist and follow up until problems are fully resolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One day I lost my wallet and i didn’t know where I left my wallet, maybe at public area. I was almost desperate at that moment. Thanks to Rob Tom from the reception desk. He took care of my wallet and informed me immediately. Really lovely staff!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Chapel Wharf is located in a great area! It is only a 5 minute walk to Manchester's Arndale shopping centre and also with a few minute walk of many other grocery shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. The street is lovely, fairly quiet, clean and parking space available. It is situated right opposite the Lowry hotel and a 2 minute walk from a coffee shop, Asda express and takeaway restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building has always responded great. They are always efficient and friendly and deal with any issues promptly. There is an app to report maintenance issues and they are typically resolved within 24 hours.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Everything was informed to me before I moved in! Good to know that the host events such as yoga book club, comedy night, crafts night etc.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area around Granary Quay is peaceful, safe, and well-connected. There are Lidl, Morrisons, Waitrose, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance, with more options easily accessible by public transport. Buses and nearby train stations make commuting simple and reliable. The street itself is quiet and well-maintained — there were no issues with noise or parking, and bin collections were always on time. It’s a calm, convenient place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always been responsive and efficient. Any issues I raised were handled quickly, with clear communication and follow-up.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known earlier is just how supportive and attentive the on-site team would be — it would have made the decision to move in even easier! Also, the community is quieter and more peaceful than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. For new neighbours: don’t hesitate to reach out to Laurie — she’s incredibly helpful and makes settling in much smoother.

Fantastic Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s great living in the city centre, everything is pretty much on your doorstep. There’s a train station around the corner, 10 min walk into town, takeaway shops round the corner. It’s quite quiet despite being next to the main road. However, the bells are the worst noise ever. They are so annoying. And the times the Church rings them is never a dedicated time it will be like 6:07pm for example and then ring again half an hour later. It’s noisy and annoying and they go on foreverrr. This is the only thing that lets the place down location wise! Please tell them to stop 🤣

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Ryan in the Maintenance team is absolutely AMAZING!!! He appeared within 20 mins of logging an issue and fixed it in about 3 mins. He checked if I had any other problems whilst he was there still and helped me with another problem on the spot. Went above and beyond to help us, really polite and chatty guy - so lovely and just fantastic all around. He is a true asset to the Dandara team!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

how little storage the place actually comes with…. the extra fridges and freezers shouldn’t have to be offered, really the design should’ve had full length fridge with freezer. don’t know why they didn’t? and the storage cupboard might as well not exist because you can’t fit anything else in there apart from a few plastic bags.

Great experience at Granary Quay!

Alessandro (Tenant)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Granary Quay is in an excellent position. Close to the Centre and to the West End. The area provides everything necessary for everyday life, including two major shopping centres. For anything else, a short bus or metro ride (less than 20 mins in both cases) leads to all services someone might need. While being so much immersed in the city, the building is still quiet and protected from traffic and noise of the very close Dumbarton Rd. Sometimes, I have the impression of living outside the city and this is very relaxing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The staff is great! Every time I had a problem, they responded quickly and effectively.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The availability of common areas adds a lot of value. The design of the apartments is great and it makes it possible to live comfortably in a small space.
