Beautiful, Welcoming and Convenient

Such a welcoming site, clean, tidy and an appealing development. I love bringing my friends round to show off where I live. I’m very proud to say I live here at Leodis Square. The customer service team are a delight. Very welcoming and will go to any length to assist you.
I’ve found a new lease in life now I have a gym on my doorstep which is always clean, and have a wide range of equipment.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Leodis Square is a walk away from local shops to bars and restaurants. It’s also very convenient for bus stops which are close to the crown point retail center and I even found a bus that took me straight to Roundhay Park- what a delight!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Unfortunately, there are no dog bins but I believe these are being arranged 🙂

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve not had any issues as of yet. I have met the team they are very friendly

Definitely recommend!

Review Date Sep 2022

I lived in Daniels House for just over a year and struggle to fault it, great value for money, location is right next to the motorways yet only a 10min walk from the city centre. The actual building itself is clean, the flats are spacious and the building has a lovely bar/pub and a gym attached to it. I always found the staff really helpful whether it be needing to print something off, helping to find a missing parcel or dealing with complaints. Definitely recommend!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Leodis Square is in a great location as it is only a 10min walk to the city centre yet also right next to the m621. noise is minimal given the location and there is plenty of access to shops/restaurants etc as it is so close to Leeds city centre.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

parking can be difficult, have a guaranteed secure spot nearby before you move in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

staff gave fast and appropriate responses to any issues.

The Place to Live in Leeds

Review Date Sep 2022

The apartments are very modern, clean and spacious with either a patio space or a balcony. There is also a courtyard with plants and greenery that is well-kept and maintained. There is an on-site gym which includes a lot of equipment and has a small studio space. There is a cinema/club room with a functioning kitchen space that we are able to book for free to host friends and family for dinner, parties or movie nights. There is a residents space that is open 24/7 as a space to work/relax. There is a locked parcel room where all deliveries are kept, you receive a code that grants you access to the room to collect the parcels.

The Customer Service team are available 24/7 to support and answer any queries. Whenever I have needed to email the team, I have always received a prompt informative response. Julia Anderson, who works in the customer service team, always goes above and beyond to assist in any way she possibly can, always giving a warm friendly welcome upon arrival into the Residents Hub, and her knowledge of the services Dandara can provide are second to none. She is always willing to support in any way she possibly can.

There are monthly events for residents to attend such as book club, breakfast club, and events to celebrate special occasions such as Easter, The Queens Jubilee. A member of the team, Simon, recently organised an event to celebrate Leeds Pride, there was a Drag Queen DJing with food and beverages for the residents, this event had a really good turnout. This level of customer service makes the apartment complex feel much more like we are a community.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Leodis Square is very central whilst offering reasonable prices. The apartments are approximately a 10 minute walk from Leeds City Centre train station, less than 10 minute walk to Crown Point Shopping centre. There is secure on-site underground parking available for an additional cost. There are plenty of industrial bins, including recycling bins that are emptied regularly and are never overflowing. The noise levels are what you should expect for an apartment located in City Centre but the apartments themselves are built to reduce the noise levels and there is very little disturbance when in the apartment itself. There is a new cafe/bar recently opened on-site, that has quiz nights, bingo nights, etc.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the property development sooner, as I was previously paying a similar price for an outdated apartment with poor customer service from the letting agents.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All issues I’ve raised so far have been responded to in a timely professional manner, and there is always someone to speak to at the front desk if any problems required an immediate response.

Nice Location, Facilities and Management but the Apartments Themselves are Underwhelming

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date Sep 2022

The design isn’t great, the interiors are pretty much exactly the same as all the other similar developments. There is very little storage space and you quickly find yourself getting cluttered up. The apartments don’t feel great in design. There were some particularly daft decisions such as including cream coloured carpets for a pet friendly development.
There are some minor issues like the finish on some of the bathrooms is poor, the kitchen is a bit squashed on some of the 2 bed apartments and the towel hooks on the doors are practically useless.

Now for the positives: the customer service/management team do bring the quality back up, providing professional but friendly service, making sure they help you to the best of their abilities and regularly throwing thoughtful social events.
The communal facilities are also nice, the courtyard garden is nice to enjoy in the sun, the flowerbeds are pretty and add a nice splash of colour, the gym doesn’t have everything you might want but for a price included on site gym is adequate, and the shared space is a nice warmly decorated welcoming place to hang out.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s not far from town, and the nearby bars, pubs and cafes are pretty good. There aren’t many shops nearby so you mostly have to make do with a small Tesco unless you’re willing to walk longer than 15-20 minutes or drive.

It is very close to some of the dodgier areas and there have been one or two minor incidents but generally it feels secure here. With more of the previously dilapidated buildings being developed in the area and more people moving in it certainly feels more secure than it used to.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There aren’t any significant ones other than the storage capacity is a bit deceptive, especially with the standard furniture.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They seem to be quite fast with critical issues but for non-critical requests they can be very inconsistent.

Best flat ever!

Review Date Sep 2022

Amazingly clean facilities and really well kept! It’s amazing that it had a gym and one of the best gyms I’ve seen! Everything is really well ran and someone is always around at reception to solve any queries you might have. It’s great that it’s 24 hours!

Amazing amenities, really friendly atmosphere and something for everyone.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

N/A we haven’t had any issues or problems. The people at reception are always super helpful and responsive with things such as the parcel service etc.

Management boldly lie and the place is very noisy.

Review Date Jun 2022

Develop is fine but undisturbed sleep at night would be better.

Proximity to town centre is nice. It is very noisy at night..thumping from the neighbours above and other screaming across the courtyard during parties.

I’ve had to make several noise complaints about the tenant living about me. After speaking with the tenant myself it is clear that Jay from Managent is saying 1 thing to her and another to me. Management have asked me to prove the noise complaint on several occasions by allowing security in my room to hear the noise which I have had to do at 12pm at night. Still no resolution…

How poor management would be.

By saying they would send emails to the person making the noise. I’ve Checked with the person making the noise and they’ve said management has never reached out with a warning.

The design of the apartment is great. The open plan design is great for hosting and keeping the conversation going whilst entertaining friends and family. The whole complex is like a little community and everyone is so friendly.
