It is perfectly situated with Kelham island only about a 2 min walk with lots of amazing bars and restaurants. Public transport or trains is just little hop and a skip which is perfect for getting to anywhere in the UK! The area itself feels very homely and not noisy at all!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building is very efficient with sorting out any problems that may arise! If there are any inconvenience that may come from the work they have to do to get the problem fixed, they really do go above and beyond to make sure you are still comfortable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure that you don’t leave the viewing having any questions still on your mind. The agents are really helpful and take their time to answer any and all of your questions.

Platform sheffield it's awesome place and staff are reliable. The apartment has all it takes to make you feel comfortable. Vast common room, gym place, smart home, seamless customer service satisfaction. It's a lovely place for couples, singles and everyone.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly. No delays, they respond to issues almost immediately.

The area is amazing! We haven’t been to Sheffield much before to know what areas are best but we have definitely fallen lucky with Soho Yard! It’s a very short walk to Kelham, which has lots of bars, restaurants and open spaces to enjoy. We love the friendly and welcoming feel of the area! Transport links are really accessible too, with the train station being a 10-15 minute walk away and a free bus right outside into the city centre! Parking is available at an extra cost.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t experienced any issues but feel confident that they would be quickly resolved with the team.

There is nothing we wish we knew that didn’t already! Just how many nice places there are right on our doorstep.

There are some great spots on your doorstep from the local bars to a very short walk into town. Public transport is super close and also very close to the shops. Have had a few instances with large groups of younger kids being a bit intimidating in the car park due to it being enclosed and some unsavoury characters round the back late at night but that’s not the fault of Platform!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very promptly, although I will say I haven’t really had any problems/issues up to now! They are very happy to answer any questions you have

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The true cost of bills, and that some of the neighbours aren’t very considerate

This is truly a home away from home property. Living in Platform Sheffield has been an absolutely fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with a wide range of local shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars just a short walk away. Whether you're in the mood for a quick coffee, a fancy dinner, or a night out, there's something for everyone nearby. The proximity to both Sheffield Hallam University and the train station makes it incredibly convenient for students and professionals alike. Transport links are excellent, with frequent buses, trams, and trains offering easy access to all parts of the city and beyond. Despite being in a central area, Platform Sheffield strikes a great balance between urban buzz and personal space. The building itself is modern, secure, and well-maintained, with responsive staff and great communal spaces. Amazing gym facilities, beautiful reception, and game room. Living on this street is surprisingly peaceful—minimal traffic noise, regular bin collections, and a real sense of community. Parking is limited, as expected in city centres, but the excellent transport options make up for it. Overall, Platform Sheffield offers comfort, convenience, and a vibrant atmosphere—it's genuinely one of the best places to live in the city. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for modern living in a central location.

The building management has been consistently responsive and professional- any issues I've raised were addressed quickly and effectively, often within 24 hours. Their communication is clear, and they genuinely seem to care about residents' comfort and satisfaction.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how quickly the best apartments in Platform Sheffield get taken—it’s worth securing your spot early if you have a preference for layout or view. Also, while the building is generally peaceful, the city centre location means you’ll occasionally hear nightlife on weekends, especially if you're facing the street. It’s nothing too disruptive, but useful to know when choosing your apartment. A great tip for new neighbours: make full use of the communal areas—they’re fantastic for working, relaxing, or meeting people, and they really enhance the living experience here.
