The development is poorly designed

I’m generally dissatisfied with my property and Keepmoat are very unwilling to respond to any problems or concerns promptly. The site manager is incompetent and will promise you the world and do absolutely nothing. My home has had multiple issues due to poor workmanship, the most serious being a rear garden that floods and a home that smelt of sewage for months. Some of the contractors are inconsiderate and have no regard or respect for residents. They can be rude, no apology if they block your access to your drive, or make it difficult for you to negotiate your way in and out of the estate, the litter they leave behind blows everywhere and you have to contend with their maximum volume music in addition to the site noise. I would advise people to think carefully before buying a house here. I wish I hadn’t. You need to be prepared for noise from 7am to 7pm and until 1pm on Saturdays. The dust is endless, as is the untidy look of the place is tiring,

The gardens laid to the rear are a big disappointment. The turf still hasn’t knitted together and wasn’t rolled flat so is uneven which means you can’t mow some areas and scalp others. Keepmoat are aware of the shortcomings with the gardener and consequently didn’t use that contractor for the gardens around the marketing suite.

The upgrade of carpet is not worth paying for. My advice would be to take what they lay as standard and buy your own in due course. The fitted appliances are bottom of the range and with heavy use will not last long. I wanted to pay to have better quality appliances fitted but was told not possible.

Keepmoat’s Customer Care team are gatekeepers doing everything they can to protect them from having to meet their obligations.

Living here has caused me so much stress. I have bought new homes before and experienced no issues other than minor snagging. Keepmoat Homes are awful.

Please review your development:

The development is poorly designed. The gardens flood and there is insufficient drainage to cope. Still no street lighting 14 months later. The roads are permanently covered in mud from contractor vehicles. There are no facilities and no views and too many cars.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how poor the developer is and how they fail to respond to serious defects in the property.

What is the best feature of your home:

The appearance is that of a traditional house but that’s all that can be said.

Area is very nice with lots of shops etc. Nice neighbours, lots of amenities, all within easy access

Please review your development:

If I could give a,zero I happily would, customer service once soldis a disgrace, we have a list of 3 sides of paper of snags and some problems including sinking driveway, leaks, walls not straight, gaps in patio doors and builders rubble in waterlogged garden. 5 missed appts and counting with a single calls to tells us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How bad they want to sell but how bad they are as soon as you are in.

What is the best feature of your home:

It’s a very nice home shame about the build quality
