Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of portside is excellent. It is within walking distance of a range of shops and places to eat. It is also conveniently located near bus stops and a large green space. My street is very quiet and every house has 2 parking spaces with an electric car charging port; and even though it is near a few busy roads you can’t really hear any traffic.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues have been resolved very quickly, big or small

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before I moved in, I wish I had been able to take measurements of each room to help with furniture shopping

Manager response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are shops five minutes down the road and a couple of miles further the seafront and town centre

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They respond mostly but having somebody fix the issue within a decent time frame is a problem. They're busy looking for the cheapest way to do things, which is what we would do too I suppose, but we don't have the contacts and links to business that they do so youd hope it would be quicker

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had done my research. I was used to renting from private landlords, actual people though, not a business. The difference is night and day. Your rent WILL increase every year. They advertise lomg term contracts on their ads, but when I ask about them they say they don't exist. Odd.

Manager response

Living in our Future

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

With supermarkets close by, the location is ideal for when we need to do our 'big' shop. I'm regards to local shops, bars and restaurants, they're a 5-10 minute drive or taxi away, which is also ideal as it keeps the area quiet. However, the area is still in development, meaning a lost of building work is still happening. Yet, we know this isn't forever and we're content with the area we live in and we're looking forward to our future here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We do have a few issues that need to be raised. However, we haven't had chance to report them yet. Saying this, I have met the local maintenance and repair guy who deals with our area, and he was welcoming and professional.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To be honest, nothing. All the information given to us prior to moving in was thourgh.

Manager response

Hi Nick, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we're delighted to see you've rated your home, area and you would recommend Simple Life as your landlord. Thanks
