Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are shops five minutes down the road and a couple of miles further the seafront and town centre

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They respond mostly but having somebody fix the issue within a decent time frame is a problem. They're busy looking for the cheapest way to do things, which is what we would do too I suppose, but we don't have the contacts and links to business that they do so youd hope it would be quicker

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had done my research. I was used to renting from private landlords, actual people though, not a business. The difference is night and day. Your rent WILL increase every year. They advertise lomg term contracts on their ads, but when I ask about them they say they don't exist. Odd.

Manager response

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your experience at Simple Life Homes. If you would like to escalate these issues further, please contact us at slmarketing@simpelifehomes.com and we would be happy to hear from you.

Living in our Future

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

With supermarkets close by, the location is ideal for when we need to do our 'big' shop. I'm regards to local shops, bars and restaurants, they're a 5-10 minute drive or taxi away, which is also ideal as it keeps the area quiet. However, the area is still in development, meaning a lost of building work is still happening. Yet, we know this isn't forever and we're content with the area we live in and we're looking forward to our future here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We do have a few issues that need to be raised. However, we haven't had chance to report them yet. Saying this, I have met the local maintenance and repair guy who deals with our area, and he was welcoming and professional.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To be honest, nothing. All the information given to us prior to moving in was thourgh.

Manager response

Hi Nick, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we're delighted to see you've rated your home, area and you would recommend Simple Life as your landlord. Thanks

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice area to live in. Primary school is within walking distance. Lots of grass areas which are well maintained. Some cars/bikes speed around the estate but other than it feels safe. Bins are always collected.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We get told someone will come out and have a look but then they don’t. For example, when we moved in the washing machine didn’t drain properly and was full of mould. They said they would send someone out but even still nobody has been out and this was months ago.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Limitations to what kind of decorating you can do to personalise your home. The handbook seems to have different information to what we were told by customer service.

Manager response

Hi Lauren, thanks for your valued feedback, we're so happy to hear you're happy with your home and development, we're sorry to read you've had a few issues, Unfortunately, we are unable to identify you based on the information available to us in your review - please could we therefore ask that you email us at slmarketing@simplelifehomes.com so we can share this with the maintenance team.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is a lovely area, only slight traffic noise but not enough to put you off. Overall good place

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a leak, came through the kitchen ceiling but still got an appointment for 14 days later, they take a little while for appointments, even if you flag them as emergency.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Would of liked to of viewed the property, even a video tour

Manager response

Hi Lily, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so pleased to hear that you love your home and are enjoying the area. It’s great to know that, overall, the property and location have been a positive experience for you. We do acknowledge your comments around storage, kitchen size, and the fence, and we’ll keep this in mind when looking at ways to improve our developments going forward. We’re also sorry to hear about the delay you experienced when reporting the leak. While we always aim to respond to urgent issues as quickly as possible, but we understand the frustration when there are delays and thank you for your patience. We truly value your recommendation and are glad you’d recommend us as a landlord.
