Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's overall a great area to stay! Plenty of supermarkets within walking distance, including M&S, Tesco, Waitrose and Aldi. It takes around 15 mins to walk to the city centre. And 25 mins to Sheffield Train Station. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and safe. I have a dog and there are plenty of parks around the apartment, too! I personally find it challenging to cross the road in front of the building because of the fast cars and there are no traffic lights.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, they are always responsive, friendly and helpful!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There's nothing really. I did the viewing online and decided to move in. I have not had any problems so far. Everything is just like the pictures and the videos.

This is my home away from home , the best place to stay for professionals . The team is so supportive . It’s very safe and clean.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They always come across and resolve the issues. There’s a handy man who visits every week and mostly is able to solve the issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s very well placed. Close to Ecclesal road , and hospital.

I love the local area - it’s such a short walk to everything you could need, including multiple supermarkets, restaurants and gyms. The town centre is a short walk away, and even the train station is within about five minutes in a taxi! Super convenient.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very well! Immediately via email and then if required, further next steps.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The lights outside at night! Honestly if I’d have known the flat would never be dark, I wouldn’t have moved in.

Near Ecclesall road. Close to city centre too. Lovely for walking and other things aswell such qs cafes

Yes there has alwaus been people available to fix issues.

The rooms get dirty easy with dust being blown over.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience at Brook Place has not met your expectations. Our aim is always to create a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for all residents, and we appreciate that changes in management approach can sometimes be perceived differently by different individuals. Any measures introduced are intended to support the wellbeing, safety and community experience of residents, rather than to restrict it. Unfortunately, we did have to relocate the Community Swap Shop, and shortly after doing so, we had some residents that were leaving bulky waste items, rather than items that can be re-used. We recognise the concerns you have raised and value your feedback. The Senior Resident Services Manager has confirmed that we are currently looking into launching a new community corner and that details will be shared soon. In terms of communications, we take on board your feedback and are working to condense communications into one monthly update. Messaging concerning items displayed in windows were sent in good faith by the Resident Services team, we understand how the messaging can land, and we will ensure that future messaging contains an explanation / context and transparency regarding the need – usually, messaging such as this relates to health and safety / compliance requirements that the landlord has to adhere to. We are pleased that you have highlighted the location, local amenities and the availability of our maintenance team as positive aspects of your experience. Should you wish to discuss any of your concerns in more detail, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and better understand the issues you have experienced. Best parts is easy access to parks, work-out facilities, and grocery shopping. Bad part is that many buildings in the area have not come back from abandonment during Covid and the vacancies are unsightly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, the people working in the building do a first-rate job with what they are able to do (report/repair) and organize.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Yes. I did not realize that the unit did not include cutlery, kitchenwares, kettle, toilet paper, or other essentials to immediate occupancy.
