A guide to living in Greater London

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s very industrial but good connections, a 10 min walk to Willsden Junction station, or 15 to Jorth Acton. A grocery and Evri parcel shops downstairs. Bins you have to walk a bit around the back but they also collect every 2 weeks so pretty easy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve not had any issues other than locking myself out of my room and they helped me out

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t realise it didn’t come with a kitchen bin so I’d just say grab one so you have it ready for when you move in!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Its a small community and we’ve been around to see it grow- it’s a very family oriented area and there’s a local breakfast/ coffee shop and Starbucks as well as a sainsbury, and another grocery store, the apartment is also right opposite the station and is very safe. The Thames barrier park is also amazing and it’s a private park so no trespassers.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve lived here for 3 years and they’ve always been very responsive and try to help instantly with any issues

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The area is very nice and right outside pontoon dock station however due to the DLR extension the station was often shut on weekends - there is a direct bus that takes you to Canning Town station but it was a bit inconvenient sometimes but it’s become much better in this year

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I had a good time at the well house property while staying at the property for close to 3 years however I was in for a rude shock when I vacated the property, the management wanted to deduct £1350 of my £1600, after having thoroughly cleaned the property through professional cleaners prior handing over, unfortunately I had to take this matter to the DPS-Dispute protection scheme and finally £300 was deducted and my entire £ 1300 was returned back to me. These developers try to do up the whole flat with your hard earned money, painting, steam iron the curtains etc read your agreement diligently and keep records of maintenances and all your correspondence with management which actually saved me and in the end fight for your right.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they do most of the time, however had a tough time with the leak in the bathroom wall which had to be left till we vacated.

If I knew that the windows are not sound roof and one can still hear the Nosie of the train

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this area is hard to beat. You have so many pubs, restaurants and cafes within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the apartment. You also have quick access to two train stops, as well as bus lines that go right into the city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We always get prompt communication even if the issue can't be fixed straight away, which makes such a difference.

The events run by the building are really well organised and you end up meeting people so easily. It puts you in a good position to make some great friends, because it's so easy when you are in the same building and bumping into each other at the gym or at events all the time.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good things about the local area: * Good public transport links: ~5 min to the Overground and ~12 min to the District/Piccadilly lines. * Plenty of green spaces: Several small parks right next to the building, plus both Acton Park and Gunnersbury Park nearby. * Lots of playgrounds: One directly in front of the building - ideal for families with children. * Quiet road at present: Due to nearby construction, Lina House is currently on an effective cul-de-sac, so there is very little through traffic. Why it might not be for you: * Acton Plaza can get noisy: Located right in front of Lina House, it is often very busy (especially around after-school pickup times and late into summer evenings). Keep this in mind if you prefer peace and quiet or spotless streets. * Ongoing redevelopment: The area is still undergoing major construction with multiple active sites and a relatively high population density - definitely not a quiet village vibe. * Fewer immediate amenities: Being a newer development, there aren’t many independent cafés or pubs just around the corner; expect a 15-20 minute walk to reach the nearest high street.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues we had were resolved in a timely manner, though we didn't have anything major or urgent. The biggest headache was some confusion around payments during one of our renewals, where the team had trouble setting up the Direct Debit for a couple of months; however, I believe this was mostly down to internal miscommunication on their end.

The youth centre in the nearby building was somewhat of a concern for residents when we first moved in, with worries about antisocial behaviour, but it doesn't seem to be an issue these days.
