Great location and facilities

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is the best location to live in Birmingham, right in the city centre, close to everything you might need: grocery stores, bullring shopping centre, train station, tram station, bus stops, many restaurants, bars and pubs and of course brindley place. This does mean it can get a bit loud on friday-saturday nights but I think its worth it.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There has been a query opened straight away and someone came to have a look.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just that despite the windows it gets very hot during the summer, especially the sun is very harsh on higher floors

Manager response

Thank you Shubhi!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Everything is perfect except the response time of the building maintenance and repairs. Specially for major issues like the air circulation system which eventually caused mold in my living area and bed room

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slowly, took ages and loads of follow ups to get the most important issues resolved

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

While everything looks good, maintenance issues cause a lot of harm to the standard of the building which could easily be avoided

The building is very well developed and modern

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is close to the main strip of bars in birmingham which makes it quite noisy. Also you can hear some traffic noises as well. Otherwise it is a very convenient location with the train station and the bullring being about 15 minutes away

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The maintenance came the very next day that the complaint was filed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The heater is quite small and electricity can run expensive.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very good facilities on site. Prime location, close to Cannon Hill Park. Parking available for everyone and their guests.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've got very quick respond and action to my issues from management team.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not always but sometimes you hear too much noise from the street (Motorbikes in Summers).

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Cortland on Broad Street offers a fantastic central location with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby, as well as great public transport links. It’s a lively area with lots going on, which is perfect if you enjoy an active social scene. That said, it can get noisy at night due to nearby clubs, and bin management could be improved as some residents leave rubbish on the floor. Overall, it’s a convenient and vibrant place to live if you don’t mind a bit of hustle and bustle.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has been generally responsive, addressing issues in a timely and professional manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how lively the area can get at night due to nearby clubs and bars. It’s great if you enjoy the nightlife, but light sleepers may find it challenging. Also, bin management could be better, as some residents leave rubbish outside the bins.
