Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is ideal. Being over the road from Cannon Hill Park was a big draw in moving to Corkfield, and we love it. We initially signed a one year lease and there was no question about renewing for another year. Working from home does not mean I'm stuck in our very comfortable apartment; during the summer would often work from the 8th floor roof terrace with views of the cricket pitch (for now - until the hotel is built), and often for a change of scenery, interaction with our friendly co-residents and community hosts and stimulation for the dog, I'll work in the lobby. Head to the MAC for a drink after work, or walk with the dog along the Rea to Stirchley and enjoy Birmingham Brewing or Attic. Bus connections to the city centre and Stirchley are very frequent, with regular services also to Moseley and Five Ways, and we very comfortably do without a car. Having Aldi across the road is great, and astonishingly the nearby Morrisons was open Christmas Day. The management have done well to maintain bin collections during the on going strike. It's good to see that the bin store is once again being regularly tidied. We live in a north facing flat, so hear some traffic noise from Pershore Road but it's not an issue. When we had a car we were in the North Car Park, a short walk from the building, but secure. Access to the North Car Park is impossible while major matches are on at Edgbaston, but we would always receive plenty of notice and could easily work around it.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
There is always someone on site. A light in our apartment that needed replacing was sorted very quickly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
When the leasing team says it's a pet friendly building, they mean it! If you take an apartment in Block A, your address is not the same as the reception address.
Manager response
Hi JJ, Thank you for leaving such an informative review for Corkfield! The location really does offer something for everyone (was Morrison's really open on Christmas Day???), Corkfield is DEFINATELY pet friendly, the amenity spaces are great for residents when they need a little more space and the team are friendly, welcoming and always happy to help!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
One of the best areas in Birmingham - quiet and close to a big park, but walking distance to shops/restaurants/cafes/bars
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Quickly resolved any issues communicated via the community app.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
How quiet the flats are - you don't hear your neighbours at all.
Manager response
Hi Maria, Thank you for leaving a review for Corkfield - we are so pleased that it is the best experience you've had in rented accommodation! We look forward to seeing you at the community events happening in 2026!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Aldi is directly opposite and conveniently open until 10pm on weekdays. Picturesque Cannon Hill Park is also within walking distance. Vibrant Moseley is only a short bus ride away. Birmingham City Centre is also conveniently a short bus ride away. Their is a Pure Gym directly downstairs attached to the building. Edgbaston Cricket Stadium is directly opposite. The local travel links are excellent!!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
You report all problems on an App and they are dealt with in a realistic timescale, generally within a day, with no issues.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I advise to look at several apartments because the view varies. I have two cats and I wanted to be situated over the main road so they have something to look at.
Manager response
Hi Hasmukh, Thank you for leaving such a detailed review of Corkfield! We are so pleased that you enjoy living here with your cats. The location is great - Aldi, Moseley, Harborne, Edgbaston and City Centre are all in easy reach :-)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I feel in love with this complex in the spring of 2024. When I finally got the approval of my work visa this was the complex I contacted and was lucky enough to get the last of the apartment layout that I loved. I loved it so much I rented it for three months before I moved in. The location is so convenient and easy (for Birmingham traffic) to get to from the motorways and the areas around. The team is enthusiastic and engaged with the residents and they make it easy to be a resident. Close to high street shopping, award winning restaurants and theatre. Easy to take walk in the neighbourhood and feel very safe. So close to get to all of the Saturday markets. Having the option of underground parking is a plus along with a pet cleaning room that my groomer can use for my fur babies.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have always responded to any issue I have had. All of which I created myself by not being familiar with how some things work in a new environment/country for me.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That Cricket fans are very dedicated to their sport and attendance is amazing. It has not created a problem at all for me but it was quite a cultural shock.
Manager response
Hi Jenifer, Thank you for leaving such a detailed review about Corkfield! Experiencing a cricket match at Warwickshire Cricket Club for the first time must have been quite an eye opener! I am pleased that the team have made you so welcome :-)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Good aspects are Aldi n Morrisons are literally outside. Cannon hill park is there. There is no bad side really other than traffic specially on match days
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
So there is maintenance team onsite, they are very responsive in terms of any issues that come in.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That we can use meeting room for free. If knew it before i’d have used it all the time.
Manager response
Hi Mishal, Thank you for leaving a review for Corkfield - I am pleased that you are now making the most out of the meeting room :-) We are more than happy to address any cleaning issues that you have noticed - please do reach out to us via email (living@corkfield.co.uk) or pop down to reception and speak to Peter, the facilities manager.
