The location of York and Elder is unmatched. We are a 5 minute walk from the train station, which makes commutes or trips into London super easy. There are countless restaurants, pubs, and shops literally right at the doorstep of the building. Really close to Brighton’s Open Market, Preston Park, and a short walk to the pier and seafront.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They are quick to respond to any issues we have had, although there hasn’t been many issues to be fair

I wish I knew the best way to communicate— whether that’s email, phone, or WhatsApp

You've basically got everything for everyone. We live right by the lanes, so the buzz and bustle of the city is always a couple minutes walk, while the calm, cozy environment at the apartment let's you strike that perfect balance. You've got so many good restaurants just a couple minutes walk away including Oshio, Nando's, Pompoko, Pizza Express, Dishoom Permit Room, Las Iguanas, Wagamama & endless number of cafes right in the neighbourhood. We're at a 5 minute walk from the train station which is most ideal as well as a similar distance from the St. Peter's bus stop. There's also great parking facilities not just within the development, but multiple car parks right by where we live. Best area to be living in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Swiftly, professionally and well-communicated. Like I said earlier, very rarely have to chase.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really comes to mind. Genuinely was so excited moving in, and the fact is, nothing has changed since. Always content here.

The location of York & Elder is perfect, near the train station, the lanes and all the shops in london road, however i will say it is pretty noisy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Some issues have been resolved straight away, some we had no come back and have to chase everyday.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was expecting to have no student living in the building to avoid any partying, smoking etc... But unfortunately they are. I was also expecting resident to be clean, but we are still facing issues with dog poo and wee not being picked up in corridors, bins being left outside the bin chutes or outside bins container.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location of building is perfect as it is right behind the central train station and bus stations. Plenty of facilities for communal activities, although more events could be organised.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Responded promptly with immediate action. Kind approach to all residents.

Front of house are not always available in the night.

Great location, living in the heart of Brighton, a stone throw from the iconic Brighton Lanes along with a 5 minute walk to Brighton Station. Along with living in the heart of Brighton we are prone to some noise of the busy streets below, but nothing out of the ordinary for this location.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any problems or issues I have experienced have been quickly sorted by the great building management who make sure to respond within a quick reasonable time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the property sooner, as it is much better than my previous property, for pretty much the same price I was paying.
