Great apartments, but security and upkeep could improve

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is very convenient, with great transport links and easy access to the city centre, shops, restaurants and bars. It’s ideal for commuting and socialising. The area generally feels safe and well connected.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management are generally responsive and polite when issues are raised. Maintenance requests are usually handled within a reasonable timeframe. However, I have experienced issues with missing parcels on two occasions, and while the matter was acknowledged, I didn’t feel it was taken as seriously as it could have been given the value of the items. Improved follow-up and reassurance in these situations would be appreciated.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known that parcel security could sometimes be an issue. I’ve had two parcels go missing while living here, which was frustrating. I’d also say that while communal areas are kept clean, some residential hallways could be cleaned more regularly, and rules around smoking in flats could be enforced better as hallways can smell of cigarette.

Great building, great facilities, however the staff at reception are very rude.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are amazing cafes/salad bars/lunch places near by in wellington place but they are only open Monday-Friday. There are two local shops which is good. 15 minute walk to town and the train station. When walking to and from town I walk through wellington place as they have security paroling. The bridge on Whitehall Road is dangerous due to it being filled with homeless people who are drinking and aggressive.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They get back to you asap and fix it right away. The system for reporting issues is easy and efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I knew from my initial viewing about the reception staff being unwelcoming. But the attitude is very off putting it doesn’t inconvenience me too much as I don’t really speak to them but it upsets me to see them treat others badly especially elderly residents or those who don’t speak much English and can’t stand up for themselves.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area has a very good range of local shops, cafes, restaurants and a few nice bars enough for day to day needs and occasional nights out. There are pleasant open spaces nearby, including a couple of parks where it’s easy to unwind. Transport links are convenient: there are regular buses close by, and the nearest train station is only a short walk. However, at peak times the buses can be crowded and the roads get busy. On my street, parking is quite limited, so finding a spot can be frustrating. Bin collections are reliable and done weekly, but on bin day the bins do get a bit tight on the pavement. As for noise or anti‑social behaviour, it’s mostly calm there’s some traffic noise but can be avoided to hear if you close your window, especially in the morning and evening, but nothing too disruptive. Overall, it’s a friendly, functional, well connected neighbourhood.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always responded quickly and efficiently to any issues I’ve raised, resolving problems professionally and keeping me informed throughout.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how active the building community is there are regular events and social spaces, which is great, but it also means it can get a bit busy at times. Also, parking is limited, so plan ahead if you have a car.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Really good location which is close to the station and lots of offices for corporate workers. Also lots of nice restaurants along the canal.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fixed the things we asked very quickly but we gave a lot of issues with post. The postage goes into a store room but we never get emails to tell us it has arrived.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The trains are noisy! But overall a lovely place to live and feel really safe here.
