Thomas Fyre Drive is set in an exciting spot, thanks to its close proximity to Queen Elizabeth Park and the ample regeneration the Olympics brought to the area. It’s within walking distance of the park itself, as well as a number of stations on the London transport network. For starters, Bow Church DLR station is just moments away, giving residents easy access to the City, Canary Wharf and the East End of London. Additionally there’s Bow Road tube station, which services both the District line and the Hammersmith & City line.
Bow itself, where Thomas Fyre Drive calls home, is an attractive London district with many period houses situated on tree-lined streets. Victoria Park is close by, as well as a whole host of amenities such as independent coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. And all that the huge shopping mall of Westfield Stratford has to offer is only a couple of DLR stops away, too.
The development itself has units that start at one bedroom, many of which have a private balcony. The units are largely open-plan, with the living area and the kitchen making up one roomy space – though in some the kitchen is slightly segregated in its own large alcove. Good news for those who prefer that little bit of separation from the living room when cooking. Bathrooms are basic white suites with showers over the bath.
This is all housed within a purpose-built, mid-rise block that is gated for residents’ increased security in this safe part of the city. Residents can make use of secured covered parking for any cars or bikes that they need to park or store. There is lift access to all floors plus a communal roof garden for outside space and city views.
Very very poor maintenance. Lift broken for months on end, security doors broken for weeks on end with no urgency to fix. Management is absolutely useless.
Please review the location of this development:
Like living so close to Shoreditch and bars and restaurants nearby. Like being close to Stratford. Like being close to the DLR and tube. Like being close to Victoria park. Dislike the management of the development. Dislike the way some tenants and owners treat the development.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That Genesis Housing are an awful awful company with no care for their developments whatsoever.
