I really love the building. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The design is very modern and appealing. The flats are very lovely! I do not love that lower flats have carpet but understand this keeps the price lower. I love the terrace, it’s a fantastic space. Perhaps a pool next time 😂! The building is very safe and I have no concerns with packages I order missing or getting lost. Concierge are very friendly and helpful. I really love the new coffee shop addition.

I think the building is placed very well. We are very close to all amenities, the shops, parks etc! I dislike that it is so close to a very busy main road as it can be very loud throughout the day and evening.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If you love light – make sure you choose a side where you have a bright flat. I am very grateful we chose the side that has mostly direct sunlight the majority of the day! This was really important for me.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I would change the carpet to hardwood flooring. We are facing a busy road which is very loud at times, but I appreciate most flats face the busy road.

We do have a pool in our Manchester development but we love the roof terrace just a much!
You are correct that the apartments have different aspects & views, we do offer advice on light & what time the sun appears if you ever need this advice again!

I would like if the pet policy would be reconsidered, as many people, including myself had to give up their pet in order to come to Wullcomb and it’s heartbreaking. Any tenant should be allowed with their pet and conditions regarding payment of any damages should be discussed. Also, the lightning in the bathroom is uncomfortable. We should be able to turn it on or off whenever we want.

Very good chosen area. Easy to reach any spot in Leicester

I wish i knew about the lightning in the bathroom.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Not very efficient. My neighbors made noise throwing parties and the building management did not do much about it.

We do allow pets at the The Wullcomb by mutual arrangement but there are limitations on size & weight – please speak to the site team about this if you have not done so already.
If you would like us to adjust the lighting in your bathroom, please let us know & we would be happy to do so.
We take noise complains very seriously at The Wullcomb – indeed other reviews have commented that we have dealt with these issues well. The development is great with decent flats and common areas on 5th floor. Since I am working from home, I usually work from the 5th floor which is great. It is perfectly designed for people who have to work from home. There is a terrace garden as well where you can chill and have drinks. We also use the small home theatre (TV room) pretty frequently which is nice. The parking is expensive – £80 per month for Leicester is a bit expensive when buildings at canary wharf, London are charging £100. I’d say £30-£35 per month is good enough for Leicester. Overall, No complaints with the flats and the building. Moving is hassle free and very detailed as well so you get to put your points when you are doing the inventory report.

There is no gym and pool so we think its slight expensive as you can get similar facilities with a gym and pool in Manchester/Birmingham at the same price. So for Leicester the rent is slight on the expensive side without gym or pool.

The Wullcomb is one of the newest buildings in Leicester right at the city centre. The location is excellent and its just 2 mins walk away from John Lewis. We just moved into this building earlier in August and overall we’d say its good and definitely the best in Leicester. We saw around 8-10 building apart from Wullcomb and this stands out.
We just don’t like the fact that there is no grocery store nearby. The closest is 8-9 mins walk away. Instead of Esquire coffee shop, they should have opened a Sainsbury’s etc.

We did not check the nearby grocery stores before moving in. We miss grocery store near by.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature is the common area on the 5th floor with kitchen, TV room and terrace garden.

The parking is chargeable but you do get an allocated space which is underground & secure. It is cheaper than local car parks but we thank you for your feedback.
We would love a gym or pool also (especially given the current lockdown!) but we do balance these not being present with a fantastic residents lounge, kitchen & roof terrace with views across Leicestershire – it is nice to hear you are benefiting from these areas.

The design of the building is amazing and i love how the apartments are made in manhattan style. I also love how the property is managed by goodlife and how the concierge is always there to help. In short , the wullcomb is an amazing place to stay at.

Want to start with its beautiful and thoughtful architecture, very convenient, high specs, spectacular interiors, plush and meticulous flats. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Management and staff are very proactive , friendly and enthusiastic. They add to the comfort of living here, specially Daniel, Christina. Cannot think of any other place in the town that can match all the aspects of this facility. fifth floor Community areas, coffee shop, library, concierge services, personal mail boxes, lounge etc are very impressive, feels good to be a part of this development.

Great location, most coveted area one can think of. Surrounded by vibrant city centre malls and shopping complex, yet calm and quiet due to its design and architecture. Very conveniently located, St Margarets Bus station is just at a distance of ….skip hop run! railway station 10 mins drive, plenty of city bus stops close by. Fantastic view from the top floors!

Cannot think of anything bad, its a marvellous place to stay

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management staff are the assets of this development . Friendly, helpful, jovial, proactive and supporting. Daniel, Christina special mention of them. All my issues were answered and attended to promptly, although the property is so well maintained that I never had any issues.

Quite nice design for the apartment as well as communal area. Lots of storage space for kitchen. High quality of furniture. However lower score for property management especially slow reply for emails and calls before moving in / for general enquiry from the public.

Great location, convenient as it’s next to shopping mall, high street and bus station. 20 mins walk from train station.

Terrible speed for registering my car into the parking system.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Slow reply for maintenance issues and general enquiry. Did not provide information pack nor travel pack to the residents who were the first group moving in the property.

Love the design of the building and the way it’s managed. Concierge are so helpful and kind. It’s very peaceful and quiet so as a uni student that is helpful to me in order for me to be able to complete my assignments and course work. The other residents have been so welcoming.

My 1 bed flat faces the church yard which I quiet and peaceful with greenery just outside. The rooms are spacious with quite a decent amount of storage planned into the space. There’s multiple access points to the building and more than one bin area as the complex is large. The communal areas are furnished to a high standard and the whole complex seems like a really well thought out and well run property. The concierges and staff are all very helpful and kind.

The location is excellent, right next to the large shopping mall and standard food chains. Within a stones throw away there are some nice vibrant bars and niche restaurants. The local amenities are excellent particularly the rooftop terrace. You can reach everywhere by foot.

Extra storage in the building was not available as initially advertised on the website.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Extra storage space in the basement if that was a possibility. And a cheaper cost of parking.

The churchyard view is one of my favourite places as it mixes the city with some greenery, it is also very quiet.

I think the design of the building is very beautiful, spacious and welcoming. The facilities are more than enough and very thoughtfully organised. The building management is very well prepared, but i would like to see stricter rules for residence regarding noise, especially after 10:00 pm and i would also like to see more understanding regarding animals in the building, because many residence such as myself had to leave their dogs back home in another country because of the restriction of the “below 15 kg” and it’s heartbreaking.

Wullcomb is very well placed. Everything you need is very close and this is one of the reasons i chose this as my home.

I would’ve liked to be informed about local taxes.

This is an amazing development to live in, the building is always clean and well kept, the level 5 facilities are an amazing place to go to and the new coffee shop is just something else. This building has everything someone could ever need and I am really grateful to live here.

Its a very clean and modern building. The location is very good. Some facilities could be improved for example if we could have some bin shooting system instead of takibg them to the bin room ourself.
