The Wullcomb has a lot to offer. What drew me in was the attention to detail. The design of this development is impressive, it is a good quality build and markedly different to neighbouring residences. The facilities such as the common areas make this place special. The on-site management teams and 24 hour concierge are incredibly helpful.
They didn’t cheap out on the fitted appliances or furniture, the apartments are generously spaced and the internet is fast and reliable.

The supermarkets and shops are within walking distance, Asda/ Tesco are super local.
The train station & coach station are nearby which is a plus.
History buffs like me will appreciate that cultural attractions are round the corner: Leicester Cathedral, the King Richard lll museum and the Jewry Wall.

If your flat is opposite the road and you’re situated on a floor below the 5th, your windows are permanently shut due to pollution but sometimes ventilated air isn’t a match for fresh air circulating.
I wish I knew the electricity provider didn’t offer competitive energy tariffs but no fault of WOL
Development sits opposite busy road so it can get loud sometimes
What is the best feature of your home:
I appreciate the living space. The amount of natural light that enters the apartment is most important to me, it cheers me up

Very Satisfied
I’m most impressed about the decor. It looks very modern, industrial and gives an overall welcoming vibe. The 24 hour concierge service are very helpful! And the property management is very well to do. I do wish there was a gym in the building.

I love how it’s just opposite Highcross mall which makes basic shopping easier. However it’s not as close to the bus stop to my uni so it often takes a while to get to school.

Nothing really
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The Building management has respond very quickly!!
Pleased
I would like if the pet policy would be reconsidered, as many people, including myself had to give up their pet in order to come to Wullcomb and it’s heartbreaking. Any tenant should be allowed with their pet and conditions regarding payment of any damages should be discussed. Also, the lightning in the bathroom is uncomfortable. We should be able to turn it on or off whenever we want.

Very good chosen area. Easy to reach any spot in Leicester

I wish i knew about the lightning in the bathroom.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not very efficient. My neighbors made noise throwing parties and the building management did not do much about it.
Well Designed Building, The best in Leicester. Slightly expensive for rent and parking.
The development is great with decent flats and common areas on 5th floor. Since I am working from home, I usually work from the 5th floor which is great. It is perfectly designed for people who have to work from home. There is a terrace garden as well where you can chill and have drinks. We also use the small home theatre (TV room) pretty frequently which is nice. The parking is expensive – £80 per month for Leicester is a bit expensive when buildings at canary wharf, London are charging £100. I’d say £30-£35 per month is good enough for Leicester. Overall, No complaints with the flats and the building. Moving is hassle free and very detailed as well so you get to put your points when you are doing the inventory report.
There is no gym and pool so we think its slight expensive as you can get similar facilities with a gym and pool in Manchester/Birmingham at the same price. So for Leicester the rent is slight on the expensive side without gym or pool.

The Wullcomb is one of the newest buildings in Leicester right at the city centre. The location is excellent and its just 2 mins walk away from John Lewis. We just moved into this building earlier in August and overall we’d say its good and definitely the best in Leicester. We saw around 8-10 building apart from Wullcomb and this stands out.
We just don’t like the fact that there is no grocery store nearby. The closest is 8-9 mins walk away. Instead of Esquire coffee shop, they should have opened a Sainsbury’s etc.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We did not check the nearby grocery stores before moving in. We miss grocery store near by.
What is the best feature of your home:
The best feature is the common area on the 5th floor with kitchen, TV room and terrace garden.
Nice design and quality
Quite nice design for the apartment as well as communal area. Lots of storage space for kitchen. High quality of furniture. However lower score for property management especially slow reply for emails and calls before moving in / for general enquiry from the public.

Great location, convenient as it’s next to shopping mall, high street and bus station. 20 mins walk from train station.

Terrible speed for registering my car into the parking system.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Slow reply for maintenance issues and general enquiry. Did not provide information pack nor travel pack to the residents who were the first group moving in the property.

The almost perfect home
I think the design of the building is very beautiful, spacious and welcoming. The facilities are more than enough and very thoughtfully organised. The building management is very well prepared, but i would like to see stricter rules for residence regarding noise, especially after 10:00 pm and i would also like to see more understanding regarding animals in the building, because many residence such as myself had to leave their dogs back home in another country because of the restriction of the “below 15 kg” and it’s heartbreaking.

Wullcomb is very well placed. Everything you need is very close and this is one of the reasons i chose this as my home.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would’ve liked to be informed about local taxes.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team has always been very helpful with the issues i faced in my apartment and very effective.
Wullcome
Its a very clean and modern building. The location is very good. Some facilities could be improved for example if we could have some bin shooting system instead of takibg them to the bin room ourself.

I like the modern and clean facility here.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would prefer to live in upper floars.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I didnt face very much issues yet. But mostly every enquiry was addressed so far.
Nice wullcomb
It is a totally new building and in my opinion, it is also the most peasant one in the city center. There do got a apartments more expensive but they are low than this one. The concierge was nice as well. They are on duty 24/7 and help you des with the parcel problem.

We are the first tenant here and we moving right since it opened. Every thing here was nice and fresh new, the only point is that there should have got a gym.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I saw it form the post outside the building.
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
It should get a gym. It seemed the only one property belonged this company which hasn’t got the gym.

Love it!
I love the way The Wullcomb was thought out, designed and built. The interior of the whole building and flats aloe is very much to my style. It has amazing facilities, and the management is incredible! So clean, and everyone is always friendly.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The area is close to a lot of amenities, like the city centre but it does take a while to walk to the nearby grocery shops, around a 15-20 minute walk. The only think I dislike is that it is off a main road, which can be noisy at times.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d have known that there isn’t much access to grocery shops or local amenities that aren’t in the main shopping centre
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yep, have had a few maintenance queries and they’ve come to check within 10 mins! Amazing response!
A year experience
The development again is great the additional coffee shop is brill. Space for storage could be improved.
I’d have also encouraged an area solely dedicated for work. Additional tables etc
I’d also say the cleaning is great but the bin areas could have been largely improved
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
I think the location and amentines you hVe access to see what you pay the extra amount for. However as advertised as a place for working professionals but over ran by students this really harms the development. Not only do you experience noise, adolescent behaviour but also so no respect for open areas
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d have known about having to still pay for rent when my space was vacant for a few months with Covid situation
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Issues are resolved but not indefinitely. However this is reflection on the tenant and not the management
