So glad I took the jump into Co-living!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area il be honest on first impressions isn't the prettiest however I was pleasantly surprised as after you get to know the area in a short walk you have some amazing parks, loads of shops and restaurants and having a direct link to London in under 13 minutes means you never too far away from the city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Every time I have had a issue I've raised this on the app they have and the next day normally I am contacted to book a date to get it repaired/actioned.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is a nightmare, lucky for me I don't drive but when having friends/family visit there is only disabled parking onsite so something to be aware of.

Manager response

Hi Kels Thank you so much for the incredible feedback! Co-Living really does build connections like nothing ever seen before and having residents such as yourself be part of these communities makes The Palm House what it is! Kind Regards Daniel Collins Community & Operations Manager

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I think for me the area (and the commute) has been the primary negative among a mostly positive living experience. The building is located close to the road and the station, which is both a positive and a negative. The walk to the station is really short, but that also means the traffic noise is quite high, especially for noise sensitive people.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've only been here a month, and while in the beginning I was slightly disappointed when I moved in and there were a few issues with my room, but over the next few weeks my experience has been quite positive. Daniel has been very understanding and proactive in trying to get things sorted for me to ensure I have a great living experience. Having been previously with really poor landlords who didn't do maintenance and essential repairs for months, living here has been a refreshing change as when issues are raised, there is always effort made to resolve them as soon as possible, even if it sometimes might take a bit of time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think the only thing for me is the noise. But it also has to do with my room facing a bunch of warehouses (and the road proximity) which can sometimes get really noisy early morning. But in the winter it should be less bothersome when the windows are closed. And again, I'm sensitive to noise, so I don't think this would bother others much who aren't. And the other thing that I've mentioned before, it may be important for some people to know that the window only opens slightly due to some safety related regulations.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a big park next to the accomodations, as well as a nice Asda and several Asian restaurants. However the high street could be a bit dodgy at night.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quick and ready to help, people are r caption are nice and polite

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The high street is a bit dodgier than I thought given that Harrow is the second safest area in London

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The main transport link for me is the train to Euston that brings to the city centre in reasonable time. I can’t give a well-rounded opinion about the area around a house, as everything I need is either in the build or in London.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I needed a technician once. After reporting to reception it got solved in next day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Trains from Euston stop going around 1-2am. If you’re coming later from the city centre, it’s either ~1h on a night bus or Uber.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

An excellent location with just an under-5 minute walk to Harrow & Wealdstone station, where fast train services which run every 15 minutes on a weekday taking around 15 minutes to Euston. The property is also a 10 minute walk away from a big Tesco. The range and quality of shops on the local high street (Wealdstone) are not as great as the ones on the high street in Harrow which is around a 20-25 minute walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues which I've raised were promptly addressed by the building management.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing. I came for a physical viewing where my questions were all answered, and I was able to keep in touch with the building management team via WhatsApp with additional questions I had after the viewing. They kindly sent through photos I requested of specific parts of the building and studio too.
