Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There’s a really good mix of shops and restaurants nearby, and the location is very convenient. It’s right across from the Jewellery Quarter and still within the city centre, yet the street feels sheltered from the noise. Transport links are easy to use and reliable, and I haven’t had any issues getting around. The street is quiet, and there’s no real trouble or noise drifting in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have responded quickly and tried their best to compensate me and provide solutions. They were proactive throughout and kept me updated during the whole process.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known earlier is how much I would enjoy living here. I honestly wish I had made the move sooner.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in the city centre is a huge advantage. The bus services are directly across the road, and New Street Station and the tram stop are only a five-minute walk away, which makes getting around incredibly easy. There are plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and cafés nearby, so everything is super convenient. But what really sealed the deal for me is the security. Being part of the Paradise estate comes with some great perks—from fantastic restaurants to 24-hour security around the area and the building itself. It feels safe, lively, and well-connected, which is exactly what I was looking for.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been incredibly responsive and supportive with any issues I’ve raised. They’re quick to help, proactive in finding solutions, and genuinely care about residents’ comfort. I’ve always felt heard and looked after.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I’d known before moving in is just how lively and community-focused the building is. I expected a nice place to live, but I didn’t realise how often I’d end up using the shared spaces or chatting with the management team—they’re everywhere in the best way. I also didn’t realise the coffee was going to become part of my daily routine… I would’ve looked forward to that even more!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area, surrounding buildings, and whole neighborhood is nearby to honestly everything. Main city center (also where Bullring Mall is located) is just 5-10 minutes walk. All basic necessities, and quick bites to eat are easily accessible. Birmingham New Street Station is also within the vicinity, no more than a 7 minute walk. Which is very convenient for those going to University, Manchester, London, or even Birmingham International Airport via train. Though I live directly on the South facing front which is in the direction of the street, there is minimal traffic noise, and I've never had any problems at night with any disturbances. When I order an Uber to there is a designated parking space available for them to wait and have never had to wait for Uber to arrive for more than 5 minutes.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any problems or issues, no matter how minor, have been handled and dealt with on the spot or within the next working day at most.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Maybe only that the parcel room is dealt with by a third party company, and not by The Octagon team directly.
