Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I really love this place. It’s located right in the city centre, with bus stops and the tram station just outside. The transport links are excellent and very convenient
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Our heating wasn’t working very well, but the maintenance team came to fix it within just two hours — such great efficiency! I couldn’t find my move-in report, and Molly was so patient and kindly re-sent it to me. I also tend to forget my keys quite often, and Tayla helped me set up the digital key on my phone. I really appreciate all the support and kindness from the management team — they’ve been amazing, especially for someone new like me.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Before I moved in, I had already learned about The Mercian through social media. The information was shared by a company called 58Citi, who gave an honest and detailed introduction about the building’s location and facilities. Thanks to their videos, I already knew so much about the apartment before I even arrived. I was particularly interested in the gym and the 200-metre running track on the third floor. As a gym and running enthusiast, I decided right away that this was the place for me. After moving in, everything turned out exactly as I had seen online — even better, in fact! Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area I reside in, the Mercian, boasts an abundance of excellent fast-food outlets, restaurants and pubs. With a transport stop and supermarket right on the doorstep, commuting is an absolute breeze. The neighbourhood benefits from well-managed parking provisions and reliable refuse collections. I find living here wonderfully quiet, convenient and secure.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I would like to commend the excellent service provided by the estate management team, specifically Charlotte, Molly, and Tayla. They were incredibly helpful and efficient in resolving a recent issue I had. Their professionalism and prompt action are truly appreciated.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Before I even arrived in the UK, I connected with Jing. She has lived there more than 3 yards — and honestly, she’s been amazing from the start. Super helpful, super professional, and just really easy to talk to. She showed me around Mercian by video, and I was seriously impressed. The communal areas are stunning and have such a lovely British vibe. The location is also super convenient — everything I need is just around the corner. Overall, such a smooth and positive experience!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The Mercian's location on Broad Street is superb, with numerous great restaurants in the vicinity. Access to public transport, such as buses and the tram network, is effortless. There’s a tram stop literally steps away from the main entrance.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
A big shout-out to Tayla, who I interact with the most. She is consistently efficient, polite, helpful, and professional. Additionally, a big thank you to Charlotte for leading such a great leasing team. Molly, another prominent member of the management team, is also lovely and indispensable.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
As someone new to the city and the country, I settled in quickly because there are so many good people living here. In particular, I am grateful for all the help, support, and generosity of Jing, who’s been a resident for years.

That location here is more convenient. It’s in the city centre. Just close by the Victoria Square and The gorgeous Outlook Library.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever I need help, they always respond as quickly as possible — especially the maintenance team. They usually sort out any issue within 24 hours, which is incredibly efficient. Our front desk team are also very friendly and welcoming.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
All Birmingham stations are at easy access transport links. Train stations, the tram, coaches, local buses and also taxis can be found with ease.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The bins chutes are always closed with no explanation. It takes a while to go to bin stores
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The bins are a far distance. I prefer if the the chutes were working.
