Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great area to live in, in close proximity to bars, pubs, restaurants, city centre etc. and at the same time quiet enough. There's also a tennis club 15 minutes on foot away if you are into this. Good transport links with both bus stops, tram and Five Ways station in walking distance.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
At some point during the bin strikes, there was a considerable amount of general and recyclable waste accumulated in the bin storage which was quite promply resolved. Having more bins for recycling would've helped as well.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The Landlord does not accept EPSRC (and I assume any other as well) scholarships as proof of income when you go through the reference check, which is annoying, given that a huge proportion of their residents (and of Birmingham's population) are students.
Manager response
Hi Anastasiia, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you find the building well-maintained and that you’ve enjoyed the resident events our management team organises throughout the year. It’s great to know you appreciate the location and its convenient access to local amenities, transport links, and leisure options. We also appreciate your constructive comments about the fingerprint access system and parking availability. Your points are well taken — we understand how important both security and convenience are, and we’re actively reviewing potential improvements in these areas. Regarding your note about reference checks, we recognise how this can be frustrating for students, and we’ll take this feedback into consideration as we continue refining our processes. We’re glad our team responded promptly to the bin issue and will look into expanding recycling capacity to better support residents. Thank you again for your honest and helpful review — we’re pleased to hear that overall, you’ve had a positive experience living here.

Traffic noises are loud and continuous due to the hospital being close Location is very strategic ; close to city centre , facing a Morrisons , safe nice area
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes they have , we ordered a new desk and got it . It did take some time though
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew the bus stop going to the university was far but it’s okay

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It’s a very nice and safe area and the building has many facilities so you don’t even have to leave the building for gym for example. However, the transport links to university aren’t the closest so it isn’t the most ideal.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They are very quick to respond and friendly and helpful, like Augustina helped a lot.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish would’ve known that there isn’t a microwave in the kitchen.
Manager response
Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re so glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with our team, especially Victoria and Augustina — they’ll be happy to know their support has made a difference. It’s great that you enjoy the design and practicality of the shared spaces and rooms. We appreciate your suggestions about the ovens and storage space and will keep them in mind for future improvements. We’re pleased you feel safe and comfortable in the area and enjoy the building’s facilities. Thank you again for your recommendation and for highlighting our team’s quick and friendly service. We’re delighted you feel at home here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is really lovely and convenient. There’s a tram stop, train station, and several bus routes just a few minutes away, which makes getting around super easy. Morrisons is also very close, along with great local shops, cafés, and restaurants. The neighbourhood feels friendly and safe, and there’s always a nice community vibe around.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever I’ve had any issues, Irina has always been quick to respond and genuinely helpful. She listens, follows up, and makes sure things get sorted properly. It really makes a difference having someone who actually cares about the residents and the building. I assume she’s the best manager ever in two years that I’ve been living here.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I’d share with anyone new is to really take part in the community events — they’re such a nice way to meet neighbours and feel connected. Also, if you ever need help or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the management team, especially Irina. They’re genuinely kind and always ready to help. It makes living here so much more enjoyable.
Manager response
Maryam, thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt feedback. It’s wonderful to hear that after more than two years, you continue to enjoy living here and feel truly at home — that’s exactly the atmosphere we aim to create. We’re especially pleased to hear your kind words about Irina, Augustina, and Ellie. We’re lucky to have such dedicated team members who genuinely care about our residents, and your recognition of their efforts means a great deal. It’s great to know you’ve enjoyed the community events too — they’re a big part of what makes this place more than just a building. We love hearing how they help bring neighbours together and create a real sense of connection. Thank you also for sharing such thoughtful advice for future residents — and for being such an engaged and valued part of the community. We're always here if you ever need anything.
