The Building is sleek and to a good standard. It’s close to University, and the bike storage available makes it easier to get to city centre and faster. Some elements could be improved, such as more kitchen drawers and storage in the apartments. However, the 24 hour concierge and reception is great and makes you feel safe.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s conveniently placed near a shopping centre with a large Morrison’s supermarket. However, this perk has a downside due to road noise and roadworks.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known the inventory before moving in to not buy additional items.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Only few issues have arisen, the main concern being the absence of a desk and a wine rack in the fridge. The management had responded swiftly

Worth the Money for 24/7 Support

The building is likely at the higher end of most people’s budgets but the design is beautiful and the on site team make it worth every penny. The amenities are a nice bonus but were not a major deciding factor in our move here. The WFH space, Gym and parcel collection service are the most useful. The main bonus for us personally is the pet friendly nature of The Lansdowne.

The area is great – supermarket across the road, brindley place 5 mins away, canals all around, city centre 25 min walk away. Bin store is great.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The apartment is more or less as expected. The window opening is small but weirdly effective at bringing a nice breeze in! There are combo oven/microwaves which was daunting but it has been better than expected so far in both functions.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have not yet dealt with any issues but have been very quick to log them and reassuring.

The building management and property management staff are amazing and the main reason why I moved here and feel safe. They are really helpful and go out of their way to help me. The building design is great, moving in was not as stressful as expected with the service lift and trolleys available. The design and facilities is also great, so many areas to sit, work and relax. The gym is also very good now that we have the latest equipment. The facilities are amazing.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There is a bus stop right outside the building and a cinema complex behind. There is a large grocery store opposite too along with restaurants and shops so there is a lot of great places on my doorstep. The only downside is that the traffic is very loud and I hear sirens every half an hour which I didn’t anticipate when I moved here. There is also anti social behaviour later on in the evenings and night time with people screaming and shouting. There is a subway close by with quite a few homeless people. I don’t feel safe outside the building in the night time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The neighbourhood can be very noisy with the traffic but you get used to it. Regardless I feel very safe in my home. Everything I need is on my doorstep and the city centre is in walking distance. The staff are really nice and the facilities are really well thought out.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

In a very timely manner, sometimes straight away if they are able to do so. They are very helpful and always accessible.

Wonderful building with great concierge and management team. Design inside the building is beautiful and modern, however the hallways leading to the apartments are sadly very plain and ruin the overall feel of the place. Outdoor facilities can be improved upon, comfort and cleanliness aspects mainly. There is A very nice new gym facility that is stocked quite comprehensively. The lifts are a bit sketchy as there is always one out of order or locked, but other than that they work well enough. Building isn’t without flaws but the pros overcome the cons.

Easy access to grocery shops and short walk to other shops. Traffic noise is irritating as is the light pollution. Outdoor cleanliness can be improved upon, stray rubbish in the parking lot needs to be tended to more often

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is no central heating/cooling and the windows aren’t sufficient for cooling in summer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They’ve responded wonderfully, any and all issues I’ve reported had been tended too in a timely manner.

Good design but rather small apartments, with minimal storage space. There’s is not enough wardrobe space and next to no storage space for suitcases/linen/spare bedding in the apartment. The cupboard with the geyser is the “storage” space and I had some apprehension about clogging it with my items. Balconies on more levels would also be nice. The common areas are beautifully decorated, modern yet retro but unfortunately the corridors between apartments look quite bare and almost clinical.

Great location! On the junction of the city center and suburbs. Good easy access to public’s transport links

Lack of wardrobe and storage space. I wasn’t able to view in person due to COVID and being in a different country but a virtual viewing was done for me. I clearly didn’t quite properly assess my issues on this virtual viewing

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, very speedy response to my plumbing issue. Seem to within about 30min from complaint time, and it was after 5pm

The designs and facilities within the building are very modern and up to date, and upon viewing the apartment it was in very good condition. Considering the facilities within the building are up to date, it definitely feels like a safe and secure environment to live in. Also, the building provides multiple areas you could use to study or work in as well as a “cultural mixer” where you could socially gather with people in your building.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area offers easy access to the Five Ways train station, as well as access to the Broadway Plaza which offers lots of leisure activities and a range of close by restaurants. Also, the presence of a Morrison’s grocery store near by makes it extremely convenient to pick up any groceries that you may need.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would’ve known that there isn’t too much room in the bedroom to store my clothes and that there isn’t a mirror in the bedroom either.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Upon contacting different members of staff with any issues I would face, they are always very cooperative and friendly and willing to devote both time and effort to getting the issue resolved as soon as possible.

Nice and new, cool modern design and very friendly staff. Fitness facilities are disappointing and lacking and should hopefully be improved.
personal experience at move in was also disappointing in that the apartment was not cleaned properly and the necessary repairs weren’t completed.

Very close to a Morrison’s and short walk to the train station.

There is very limited storage space. Theres a large access of restaurants in the area.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

better cooking appliance, combination oven isn’t good. also more storage space would be good as there is no shelving space for clothing. fitness facilities are severely lacking, and needs to be added too to qualify for what is advertised.

The building looks and feels modern, design is spectacular except entrace area (please paint it already). Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. Very quiet even with construction outside. Flats are spacious and well designed, Bathrooms are perfect for using your phone (just as it should be)

Great location, close to train station and 1 minute walk to Morissons, 2 mins walk to Subway and Domino’s, 7 mins walk to centre.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The kitchen hood isn’t actually connected to anything in the ceiling even though there is a built-in air circulation system. Made me avoid cooking certain types of food that smell for a while after cooking.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

A garbage shoot, NEEDS A GARBAGE SHOOT. I dislike going all the way down to take the trash out (gotta avoid going out at all costs).

My overall impression of The Lansdowne is great! It has all the state of the art facilities and if there are any issues whatsoever the team will get them sorted straight away. The communication with the team is brilliant, often I have parcels delivered and will receive an email straight away informing me of where I can collect it from.

The location is perfect, it is just off Broad Street which has everything you could want. There is a large supermarket directly across the road which is always handy. The only down side is the noise from the traffic but that just shows how great the location is.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would always recommend an apartment away from the main road however the view is much better on this side so its whichever you would prefer … quiet or a good view!
