The apartments are the Keel are modern, a good size and beautifully decorated. Many of the apartments also have amazing views of the river. The team who work at The Keel are lovely and happy to help 24/7. The parcel system is great and I never have to worry about getting expensive items delivered.

The location opposite the docks is perfect for both views, strolls and to walk into the city centre.

Make friends with the reception staff quickly – it will make your stay even better

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always on call to deal with any issues within the apartment or the facilities around.

Great place to live, I’ve been here for 3 years and wouldn’t live anywhere else in the city centre. The apartments themselves are spacious with high ceiling and decorated to a high spec. The communal areas are well kept and feel luxurious. The new property management company are great, very organised and friendly.

I love the area – the location is great because you’re in walking distance from the city but it’s still quiet and calm by the river. The views are of course beautiful too! Only downside is that it’s a good 10 minute walk to the nearest shop.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How windy it can get along the river! Nothing else comes to mind about the flat.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and efficiently – there are occasionally issues with hot water but they are on the ball in getting an engineer out within a few hours

building called “The Keel “. Since the moment I have seen it online , I knew that this is where I wanna be . Here I am today in my 1 bedroom flat on 4th floor at The Keel.
I am on my own and this place has ticks all the boxes : security , safety , car park , quiet yet central location ,5min walk from Albert Dock, stylish , 24h concierge , onsite gym , close to motorway ,

I absolutely love everything about The Keel !
I highly recommend this place from all points of view

The apartments are nice and modern, the walls are soundproof and all management, staff and facilities are class! Would definitely recommend! My apartment comes furnished and all is good quality, you can tell they care and haven’t just splodged a couple of quids. The beds and couches are comfy and the wardrobes are reasonable space.

So far this community has been nothing but a joy to move into. I have no negative comments.

I can honestly say I have no complaints, overall the keel is great.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of living at the Keel is the peacefulness of the area and your surroundings. Also great for walks on the docks. Andddd they allow dogs!!!! I love bumping into the fur baby owners and their babies on my way out!

The apartment layout and provided furniture are good quality and maintenance is fast and responsive. Post is easily accessible and reception is friendly and helpful. The gym is an absolutely excellent feature. Online portal for selling items and talking to other residents is great. Privately operated carpark is too expensive.

Absolutely beautiful area with a view of the river and the city. Close to the arena, exhibition centre and Albert docks. Little bit of a walk to a train station or supermarket but not excessive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You can’t hear anything from flats either side, above or below. You can hear people in the corridor going past so if that bugs you pick one further away from the lift. The heating in the building can be a bit finicky but it’s never off for too long. Guest parking is outside the main gate and is twice as expensive as inside the gate.

What is the best feature of your home:

The service from the front desk and maintaince is fast and reliable

The keel’s location is what drew us to it in the first place. It is a great area to live in and there is plenty to see only a short walk away. The flat itself is spacious and nice to live in however the building is not well maintained and therefore we have had a lot of ongoing maintenance issues

I wish I had known about how many issues the building has

Excellent management, cool building design. Great views from apartments. You couldn’t get a better location and lovely riverside walkway on doorstep. There is an on-site gym and outdoor seating area which is nice to have in summer months. Pet friendly

Apartments are nice, you have green areas and the building is dog friendly. The administration is always organising activities and are very cooperative and friendly. You have bike racks, someone 24/7 at reception and parcel pending lockers that make life easier. The building app also salirla great for announcements and maintenance bookings.

The keel is amazing, far enough of the noise and trash of the city but walking distance to good coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Few cars in the streets and excellent view.

Building app works fantastic and having a reception with someone 24/7 is really helpful.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view to the river and the space is well distributed.

The building is very attractive design maintaining links with its past whilst staying modern. On site gym is well maintained, and the area surrounding the building is secure and kept clean. Staff are very friendly and always quick to help.
Re-occurring issues / failures with hot water in the winter have been the only sour note.

Shops are a 15-30min walk away. Restaurants, rail and other retail facilities are 30+ mins walk via the docklands or the city centre

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Insulation can be a bit of an issue in colder months. Issues with the hot water & boiler have been re-occurring
Pet friendly is a big +ve in such a key location
Parking space cost additional to rent

What is the best feature of your home:

The view is great and access to the city centre means that can do most things whilst not having to worry about travel or other issues.

The building and property management are great, they are always happy to help. They’ll send out maintenance for any requests ASAP.

The concierge service is great for answering any questions and receiving post, they also put on social events for the building which is a nice touch.

The flat design is spacious, well-lit and stylish.

Close to local amenities, e.g. local Tesco express in walking distance and the restaurants in albert docks are a short walk.
Walking distance to city centre and train stations.
Its great living on the docks, you can walk outside and have a great view!

I would have like to know more about what bills companies the flat had already set up to make the transition a bit smoother.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they respond the same day and will usually have someone out to fix the issue the same day or the following day.
