Development is great, and feel really modern. The lounge area is great, especially for remote workers. The residents are friendly, and will smile & nod to you. The facilities and "safety" around the development are great. Still waiting for that gym though...! Been quite disappointed with the property management, they seem very stressed & understaffed (Summer 2025). Slow responses, and quite rude. The reception doesn't feel approachable, and the majority of the team seem fed up to work there. There was a fire risk that needed dealing with, and I had to eventually write a formal complaint as it wasn't being addressed. There also isn't a "check in" follow up experience, you're left to it. We even had to wait quite a few days before seeing an inventory, and even then when we questioned items, we didn't have any real response. I think we expected a higher level of service & after-care, especially in our first few weeks of moving in. The contract & leasing terms seem very strict and not very flexible. Additionally if you choose a higher floor, you'll excruciating temperatures of over 25c degrees all day and night with zero airflow or heat extraction, let alone air conditioning. Quite unbearable. Our windows won't open more than 3 inches. We also were disappointed as we were promised about parking when we booked 4 months in advance, however we still haven't got a parking space. We feel miss-sold on this feature. If you want an upgrade from uni halls, or just want to spend more by being in the centre of the city, then great. But I'd recommend you choose another location if you want to splash the cash. For the money, I think there may be better value for money & better service.

The design of the building is a good balance between modern and old and it's pleasant to walk in the garden. As a dog owner we enjoy the accessibility of dog park and how pet friendly the entire property is. The people at the front desk are really helpful and friendly.

Mainly writing this just to inform potential tenants about the fact there is no gym and won't ever be one. I have been here for 2 years and the viewing agents promised the gym will get built as it was just a paperwork issue with the council. 2 years later and there has been no word of a gym, there was talks about it being built in one of the viaduct archways but that was a year ago so that likely has fell through also. Every other built to rent complex in the city includes this and it helps soften the rental price so pretty poor really. Also waiting times for parking are really long, again don't listen to the tenancy agents who will do some guesswork in telling you it will be a few months. There is a revolving door on staff so a lot of mismanagement goes on with poor communication. Other than that the flats are indeed nice and what you see is what you get, just wanted to highlight some negatives. i would have liked to had known during my flat search.

Avoid The Junction Apartments at all costs. My experience has been nothing short of a complete disaster from start to finish — disorganised, misleading, and deeply unprofessional. • 18th January: Attended a viewing with an agent appointed by The Junction who couldn’t answer basic questions about the property. I had to request a second viewing, which was done via WhatsApp — incredibly unprofessional for a supposedly reputable development. • That same day, I asked about parking, which was a deciding factor for me. I was clearly assured it would be available within 3 months. This was later flat-out denied when it suited them, despite being the reason I signed the tenancy. • I was told I’d been entered into a no-deposit scheme via Flatfair, only to be told at the last minute that this was incorrect. I had to pay £1,555 into a traditional deposit scheme with 24 hours’ notice due to their internal error. • Moved in on 2nd March to find a broken plug socket in the lounge, which I reported immediately. I was told it would be fixed — it never was. Not once during my tenancy. • Their communication is shockingly poor. I received an email on 10th April saying I’d been there a year and asking if I’d like to renew — I had lived there for barely a month. • Unsurprisingly, no parking space ever materialised, and they conveniently denied that it was ever promised. Of course, this was discussed in person, so I had no written proof — something they were clearly counting on. • I eventually terminated my tenancy early due to the sheer level of mismanagement and moved out on 5th July. I was told a check-out report would be sent within 24 hours — it wasn’t. • I was then promised an update by end of day Tuesday 7th July — again, nothing. As of today, I still have no report and no update. • On top of everything, I overpaid two months’ rent and am still waiting for a refund. It’s now 5 days since I moved out, and I haven’t received a receipt or proof of refund. The management at The Junction Apartments has been consistently disorganised, unprofessional, and completely unaccountable. It’s been an expensive, time-consuming, and deeply frustrating experience. I’ve heard much better things about developments like Mustard Wharf and Uncle — both seem to have far better reputations and competent management. Do yourself a favour: view elsewhere

The Junction is a very high class residence with fantastic amenities and study/social spaces free for all residents. The grounds are kept in immaculate order and the outdoor games and dog park are an excellent feature. The apartments are spacious and very well designed. The day team on the front desk are always cheerful and so helpful. Dawn is a pleasure to deal with and always so kind and helpful to everyone.
