An Excellent Place to Live

Building layout is nice, there is a courtyard section in the middle with tables and chairs, rentable barbeques and pizza ovens. The apartments are sizeable and good value. Had a few issues when we moved in but staff made arrangements and the maintenance team quickly sorted them out. Management are very friendly and are willing to socialise and help out with any issues. The community at the forum is great too - I have made many friends since moving in, mostly down to the events that management put on! Seems like any reason they have, management throws a party. Christmas, Chinese new year, valentine's, Easter, Halloween, etc. Lovely initiatives. Lots of gated parking spaces available at a charge (around £100pcm, standard for city centre but still pricey!)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Love living at the forum! Local amenities include Tesco and a wide variety of restaurants and other shops. It's a 5-10,minute walk from New Street Station.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management have responded to all issues raised. There are a few minor issues I have raised in recent weeks that haven't been sorted yet, but anything urgent is handled immediately.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how great the community is - it would have made finding somewhere to live much quicker and easier! The bin collections happen at very early hours, and the apartments are usually very hot. Definitely worth leaving your windows open for a couple of hours before bed.

Outstanding Assistance from the Management Team, Especially Kary Chung

The management team is supportive! Kary Chung is super nice! I often contact her with questions, and she always replies quickly and patiently. Today, a staff member I contacted couldn't find parking. Kary helped by providing a temporary parking spot for 1 hour. That's very helpful!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I have moved in this apartment for a month. I am super satisfied with everything now. The life here is espectially convenient, since it is close to the china town, sea food market, shopping mall and the train stations.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I did not report it yet. I think the management team is very nice.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Management team is excellent! The facilities are mordernized and easy to use.

Amazing new home

B (Tenant)

Jul 2024

The development is very modern, up to date and well thought out. The facilities such as gym, rooftop terrace, courtyard with bbq and pizza oven are a great touch. The management team have been nothing but friendly and helpful and are more than happy to answer any questions I’ve had. 10/10!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is great being so close to lots of bars and restaurants and any shop you like just a short distance away. Being so central the transport links are perfect to go anywhere.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have yet to have any problems but the questions I have asked have been happily answered

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’d say maybe more detailed information like what is given on the welcome pack.

Lovely place!

Katie P (Tenant)

Jul 2024

Really nice building, I love the common areas, the relaxation area offer comfy seating and TVs. The reception area has a much needed coffee machine and water cooler alongside tables you can sit at if you work from home but want to get out of the flat (although the flats are really nice). The rooftop offers nice city views and is clean. The bbq garden is also a good idea - ideal for the next heatwave. The gym is good but some machines are not working such as the stair master, which a resident told me is new and only worked for a week.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve previously lived towards the city centre due to studying in Birmingham and the good aspects are: Lots of restaurants nearby, the building is between Chinatown and st martins markets area also close to the bullring so plenty of options for eating out. There is an oriental market, spar and Tesco express nearby too. There are always people around the area too, it’s quite lively. Bad aspects: Need to exercise more vigilance around the area as it is a city centre and therefore a hotspot for pickpockets/crime etc. So far I’ve not seen antisocial behavioural on my street and feel it’s one of the safer parts of the city centre. Whilst there are shops, there are no major supermarkets nearby making food shopping expensive (Tesco express prices) with limited options if you have specific dietary requirements.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have reported an issue with my smoke alarm but I’m at work so unsure if it has been actioned, but I reported this 2 days ago.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How to set up bills. Maybe shown the app. Where parking is.

Manager response

Hi Katie, Thanks for taking the time for a review, glad you are enjoying the building and the facilities, the stair master is back working again..someone ran off with the power cable for it... not sure why! But they have now been replaced. I'll look into that smoke alarm for you, swing by the desk if you have any questions and would like to be shown anything and myself or one of the team will be happy to help! Have a lovely week and enjoy the sun! Kind regards Matt
