Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Leicester is very suitable for living and Arches definitely has the advantage of excellent location. Will have some noises with windows open(party students on the next building) but not too much a problem.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance issues sometimes solved quickly but major issues like electricity meters not fixed and caused prolonged problems

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be aware that the staff are all very nice(they tried their best) but because of the whole management structure and frequent change of the landlord companies it will be a headache to get the deposit back.

The location provides a balance between city access and a quieter environment.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It is close to Leicester Railway Station, East Midlands Airport is just 18.8 miles away, facilitating both domestic and international travel . The local area is home to esteemed institutions like the University of Leicester and De Montfort University, offering a range of academic programs. Bad Aspects: Due to its is near the city centre, we experience traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. This normally affects commuting times and overall convenience for drivers during the peak hours.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team always try their possible best to respond to issues I have raised in the past promptly and they always come up with solutions that are more efficient. They always explain in detail and a very helpful way when they don’t have immediate solution to solve problems. And they try every possible means to get the issues resolved in a timely way.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The energy meters are not in a good condition which makes it difficult to get an accurate meter reading. This has resulted to the energy bills being estimated and it actually costly. The meters should be in a good condition immediately to prevent the residents being over charged and to enable me take accurate readings when possible.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is awesome to live since there is a londis close and a big Tesco. It is also a close walk to high cross so lots of restaurants and shopping. There is good parking available. Abbey park is also a close walk away for the summer and warmer days. It is a perfect location as it is out of the centre so is never loud but close enough to be convenient and for everywhere to be walkable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have always responded very quickly and have tried their best to help sort out our issues. Anytime they are in the office everyone is very friendly and eager to help with any problems.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known how many events the building put on because I was already very convinced about moving in but if I’d known about all the others such as breakfast on Fridays, Easter egg hunt, valentines paint n sip, ect, I would have been more even persuaded.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The apartment location is good..Very peaceful location and nearby high street and city Center However, there is a problem in getting car parking slot…Not sure when you’re going to get a slot and its tough to park somewhere outside of the building and commute daily..It would have awesome if everyone get allocated parking

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sometimes quick and sometimes need to follow up multiple times

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The next availability of car parking slot.. At least some timeframe

Manager response

Dear Prakasam, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re so pleased to hear you’re enjoying the facilities and peaceful location, and that you feel at home in the community. We do understand how important convenient parking is and recognise the frustration when availability isn’t immediate. We’re continuing to explore ways to improve this aspect and will ensure all residents are kept informed of any updates. If there’s anything further you’d like to discuss, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Best Regards, Your Team at The Arches
