Royal Docks West, E16 Reviews

The heating wasn’t working properly when I moved in two weeks ago. However, the building management was quite responsive and they sent over engineers to fix it. The flat is well finished, cosy and spacious, there is concierge and two lifts but no gym inside. I haven’t had any problems with waiting too long for the lifts even though there are quite a lot of people living in the building.

I didn’t know they weren’t many shops around, I would love to have another grocery store next to here.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They were quite efficient and well organized. Immediately after I reported the issue they sent engineers over.
Spacious flat
The development is great but it’s quite annoying that they don’t have a gym. I think it would make it so much better if they had one, especially since there isn’t a decent gym in this area. The development doesn’t really have aren’t many facilities or communal spaces which is a shame. The concierge are great and friendly but sometimes they’re not at the desk and I don’t know how to get hold of them.
If I have any issues, I usually go through my agency, who are great and always efficient. If there aren’t immediate problem which need quick repairs then I go to the concierge and they are fast to organise repairs.
I really love my flat, it’s super spacious and really light. I actually rent the old show room development, so it was furnished to a great standard.

I wish there was some sort of leaflet to explain how to pay the bills. They explain how to use the facilities and appliances which is really useful, but a user friendly guide to bills would save a lot of time.
If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:
I think more security at the main entrance would be great.
Peaceful area with the things you need mostly.
Well looked after building. Not really a spacious flat so that could be better.
Crime is low in the area. It’s peaceful. There’s enough shops, tescos is close, and bars not far away if that’s what you’re into.
Parking is bad.
The building management is quickly, good, got it done no problem. Professional.

Luxe apartments with spectacular views of the city and the Thames
Mount Anvil’s Royal Docks West enjoys a prime setting in the Royal Victoria Dock, once a maritime hub, and now a thriving neighbourhood of waterside cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities. Part of a multi-phase project, the development’s debut tower pierces the skyline at 19 storeys – its aesthetic a pleasing nod to the area’s industrial heritage.
Royal Docks West comprises of studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a luxury penthouse. Design practice Johnson Ribolla was brought in for the interiors, and innovatively fused light and dark, inspired by the concept of where land and water meet. Expect rich, earthy colour palettes, dark-wood floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows that optimise space and brightness, and offer superb views of the water and the city. Fixtures and fittings are top-of-the-range, and include Smeg appliances and energy-efficient downlighters. All homes have a balcony as standard, which is LED-lit and comes with either timber-effect or paved decking.
The public amenities will feel like that of a high-end hotel when complete, with a cinema room, fitness centre and swimming pool, business lounge and rooftop running track all in the works, plus a court for badminton. An attentive 24-hour concierge service is part of the package and, outside, residents can make use of beautifully landscaped courtyard gardens.
You couldn’t be better connected to the rest of London from Royal Docks West. This will be the closest development to the upcoming Custom House Crossrail station – fabulous news for investors and residents alike. The capital’s transport revolution will connect Royal Docks West residents to the City in 10 minutes, Stratford in 12, and Bond Street in just 17. And while it’s still in construction, Prince Regent and Royal Victoria DLR stations are an easy walk away. Some of London’s most famous attractions are yours for the taking here, too, such as The 02 Arena, Westfield Stratford City and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
