The development is lovely has a real sense of community. They have made all the buildings very aesthetically pleasing and kept green spaces etc. the property management team are the best Susan Lauren and Karl are so accommodating and helpful. Always really quick to respond and help and also so friendly. We always stop to say hello/quick chat! Facilities are very good love the coffee machine! It’s a really lovely development. We are a family of 4 and have felt very settled and welcome.

Location is fantastic can walk into the town Center in 10 mins with a lot of other surrounding shops/ amenities very close to. Love the location on the river. Good transport links into London. Parking for extra guests is the one downfall of the location. Very quite location considering so central to town and feels very safe.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Just consider the parking if you have a lot of visitors be mindful of needing to get visitor passes or parking in the nearby car parks. Other than that it’s such a lovely place to live!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes we have had an ongoing problem with a shower leak in the en-suite. The building management team have been responsive throughout.
Living in One Canalside is lovely
Management team is super friendly and very helpful. The cleaning lady is doing fantastic job around the development always clean and smells lovely. The post room is very useful too. The development could benefit if there would be a cafe or a small shop on site. I think it would make it more lively here.
Also, I am not sure what’s the schedule is for window cleaning but hopefully it will happen soon

Lovely area, close to town centre, lots of shops. Sometimes parties at the dining room are a nuisance but that’s rare

I wish we knew that meter readers are not passing info on to British Gas. It wouldn’t change our mind about coming here but would be a lot more helpful

Always responded in timely manner, the team was always doing their best to help.
Lovely flats with great management
Great lovely and clean building. Very good management, very responses and helpful. Great on-site facilities as well with games room and dining room available. Very well designed building with bins and parking located just down below so easy to access

Great location for the flats. Very close to shops and social life of Chelmsford. Close to the station as well. Only down side is the parking. Waiting list for on site parking and very expensive to park with a permit in the town centre and surrounding areas

How quite the flats are. When I’m the flat we never hear any neighbours at all and it’s great. We were expecting to be able to hear at least tvs every now and again but have not heard anyone

The on-site facilities are an amazing additional perk providing lots of extra indoor space.
The apartments are spacious and beautifully designed.
There is one downside, I wish they had incorporated cooling air conditioning in the buildings as summers are really hot in the penthouse.

It’s a fantastic location- quiet enough to be peaceful yet very close by to the town centre with a range of shopping and restaurant options!

I think our veiwing was pretty thorough so there’s nothing I felt I hadn’t already known.

Quick to respond, efficient and friendly helpful staff
Great location with modern facilities.
Lovely flats with everything you would need. Furnishing is great with nice quality pieces. Appliances are all new with no issues that we’ve experienced. The building itself is always very well maintained and clean in public spaces such as the lobby and hallway area.

Chelmsford offers a great variety of shops and restaurants, good public transport connections to London and a an overall nice area with lots of green spaces.

Nothing at this stage, everything was as expected.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Generally yes with the exception of one request to the shower but communication was great nonetheless!
The modern design of the buildings means there’s minimal work to do when you move in
The modern design of the buildings means there’s minimal work to do when you move in. The flexibility to decorate allows you to make your house a home. There are also communal living spaces with games room and work from home spaces which is great in the current environment.
The layouts of the flats vary by building, and having lived in two different complexes within the development, our current complex is much more suited to our long term needs.
Property management is excellent and efficient. Susan who helped us with our move is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and everyone in the office is friendly and polite, and trying to build a community here.
It would also have been great if there was a residents gym (especially for the price of the properties) as there are usually one in new build developments in the area.

As the development is less than 10 mins walk into the city centre, transport connections are good and noise is minimal, and there are over 100 bars and restaurants to choose from. There is very limited parking availability, especially for guests, who would most likely need to park in the city centre whilst visiting.
Bin collections are often for both refuse and recycling.
It would be good to see better connections to supermarkets or have a smaller convenience store within the development, however it is not difficult to organise food deliveries.

I would have liked to have seen the development plans for the rest of the area regarding facilities and convenience eg shops etc. as we’re planning to stay here long term.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have had some maintenance issues with the lifts and water facilities being turned off with short notice, however these have been fixed as quickly as possible.

Lovely New home
Amazing experience overall!! Really lovely development and aesthetic homes! Our flat is so spacious and has all the amenities, flat is also really warm so saves on heating. The shared spaces are amazing for hosting or socialising with other residents and the work from home space is a game changer!

Lovely staff and management, always happy to help and nothing I’d ever too much hassle! Nice to have shops such as Aldi and BnM close!

Safe, secure and cosy.
Our flat is very spacious and has a lovely open plan living space. Perfect for inviting guests over. The staff onsite are incredibly friendly and approachable and constantly have contact with us to let us know of any works going on in the development.

Only a short walk/taxi ride away from the city centre so plenty of shops and leisure facilities nearby.

I wish I had known how comfy the beds are! Also plenty of wardrobe space!

Have not had any issues at time of writing. One Canalside have quickly dealt with any problems.
A Quality Living Environment
The buildings are nicely designed and provide a comfortable living environment in a superior location with the proximity of the canal and river enhancing the rural well being, whilst only being 10 minutes from a city centre.
The key to the success of this development is the management team under the gentle management skills of Karl, Susan and Lauren (Administration) Lee, Tracy and Andrew ( maintenance), a warm and ready smile and a friendly chat is always there to greet you.
This enhances the wellbeing and living experience of living in this development.

The development is well situated for infrastructure being a 10 minute walk from the Chelmsford City centre and all that has to offer, a 5 minute walk heading north a small parade shops which adds to the infrastructure support for those last minute items. The planning of the parking facilities are woefully inadequate and obviously a last minute thought.

Enjoying It!
The apartment itself is lovely, light and bright with a neutral palette that makes it easy to move in and add your own touches. My apartment came furnished and while the furnishings look quite nice, the sofa isn’t very comfortable and the dining set seems to be very cheap and pretty much leaves marks from just looking at it, sort of to be expected in rental properties though. I also find the insulation between floors is lacking, it’s quite noticeable when somebody upstairs is stomping around or worse, slams a door, it felt like my entire bedroom shook when this happened. Thankfully, doesn’t happen often!
It’s great to have a mail room which is handy for when you’re out, though in cases where the delivery person is trying to deliver direct to your apartment, it can sometimes be a pain for them to find the apartment as my building has two separate entrances that use different lifts, even when I specify the entrance on the delivery address. Some also seem to be confused over the fact that they have to call the intercom again to use the lift once they’re inside the building, would be handy if little things like these could be made clearer.
Aside from little things like these, I’ve really enjoyed living here so far, the included internet with the rent has been speedy and reliable which is a great bonus for those like me working from home, shower is nice and powerful, comfortable beds and a peaceful, laidback location with most of what you need on your doorstep.

I love where the development is, close enough to the city centre (about 10 min walk) for convenience, while being a perfect distance for some peace and quiet and views of fields and the river. There’s a really nice scenic walk into the centre which is just 10 mins away where there’s a great selection of different supermarkets & shops, often see a little swan family on the way that make it all the more pleasant! 🙂

Lack of insulation between floors considering “high quality soundproofing” was used on the apartment’s Rightmove listing.

Haven’t had to encounter management many times but always seem very nice and helpful.
Great place to live
The apartment buildings on my development are very modern and aesthetically pleasing. The building is managed by helpful and friendly staff 7 days per week and it’s easy to communicate with them when needed as they usually respond and deal with issues very quickly

The apartments are located near the city centre and is close to a wide range of restaurants, bars, clothes shops, convenience stores and it’s also close to the train station which has a direct link into London. Although it’s close to the city centre, the apartments are located in a quiet and private place. Parking can be difficult and unfortunately there are no free parking available for visitors.

Be prepared to order permits if you want to have visitors
You won’t need to worry about finding places to eat or go out as the apartments are located in a very convenient location.
