Lively riverside area with plenty to see and do

We live in Building 2 and it honestly feels like we’re living in a hotel. The concierge are really friendly and I always feel safer knowing they’re there. Our flat is only a one bedroom but feels so spacious – the loungeroom doubles as a study and there’s so much natural light. The regular Greenwich Peninsula emails are helpful for keeping up to date on what’s going on in the development and the area in general.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Obviously being right on the river is one of the main drawcards of living here, but I’ve been surprised at how lively this area is. There are amazing restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance, especially important for a coffee lover like myself, including Hej coffee, Gentleman’s Barristers in the O2, Eat Fan and more. The Outlet at the O2 is literally next door and has some amazing discounts.

In addition to these permanent fixtures, there is also SAMPLE which is a seasonal urban design market. Cocktails, beer, live music and amazing local London designers make the area even better. Getting around is also super easy, taking only 30 minutes to get into Central London which makes my work commute a breeze.

One thing that could be seen as less than ideal is that there often loud announcements at North Greenwich station during the night. The station can also get really busy if there is a concert on at the O2 but generally you can just avoid peak times by keeping up to date about what’s on. In my view it’s a small price to pay.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There’s a lot of construction in this area which can be a bit noisy at times

What is the best feature of your home:

The onsite gym and pool and concierge. Being able to role out of bed and get to the gym in 2 minutes is amazing!

All round quality of living

The building itself is high quality, well finished, and amazing to live in. The attention to detail in the building has clearly been thought through and it proves a lovely place to reside. The facilities are more than you could ask for and the same can be said for the staff working within the buildings.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is good with good links via the jubilee line, which is fast into central London. The shops I’d say are limited, lacking a real supermarket in Greenwich peninsula itself however, the current shops are adequate but I hope to see a larger/ more quality food shop appear soon

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More detail about all the facilities across all buildings available to a buyer

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have had such few issues that none have been worth reporting

Building and facilities are beautiful. The running tracks are great, and the clubhouse is perfect for it! The pools are extremely spacious and the steam room and gym are to die for. The concierges are amazing, with a great system in place for postage and parcels.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great area, easy to drive through and in to central london.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i’d known about the group chats.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Better communications and contact with greenwich peninsula.

Building 2

Having a pool and two gyms within the building is lovely. The design of the building makes you feel like you’re in a danish/finnish luxury hotel. It captures sun in the right ways, and reflects them beautifully on the buildings. The management of property could be better after the first 3 months, as it did feel like the great management was only temporarily.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Lovely spacious area, plenty of space, feels like you’re out of london! Rent can slightly be overpriced though, and increases aren’t low. The transport links are amazing- with a tube stop 2 minutes away and wide selections of buses. Great for running

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The groups that were available to join to feel part of the community

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The lettings agency communication can be very bad, and very centred around money.

Upper Riverside, Building 2

I remember the first time I entered Building 2 I was amazed and every time friends visit me they say that I live in a 5 star hotel! The building interior is designed by Tom Dixon, and each item is carefully picked. Facilities in Building 2 include a pool, a steam room, two gyms, a terrace, a dining room, a meeting room, and concierge. All staff is incredible and friendly.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love the area and the building I live in. With all the facilities we have here it’s hard to ever want to leave the premise. I love our local restaurants Mama Fuego, Ardoa and Craft, I love that we have monthly Residents’ events either social or crafty like learn how to make a Christmas wreath. I wish we had a better local fresh grocery shop or market – Tesco isn’t catered to households needs. I wish we had a beauty salon too, like Blue Tit in East Village. Transport is great, Jubilee is only 2 mins away and the boat is right outside my doorstep!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew more about affordable made-to-order furniture options, and curtains fitting options. Curtains are hard to figure out!

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I wish the sound isolation between rooms in the same flat was better.
