Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The Concierge team are very nice and always so helpful. They are always so smiley and friendly and eager to help. Makes me feel even more welcomed. When I moved in Amber was on site and she was so lovely and helpful and provided key information I needed to know. She excellently answered every question I had and also was so polite.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Still new here haven’t had any issues. But I feel they will tend to it urgently due to how friendly everyone is
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
All residents are required to use a home box for their electricity and water bills. Whilst the reason behind this is very logical and fair, I wish they would’ve communicated this with me earlier on or included it in my contract. I was required to cancel all the utilities I had already set up because I was informed a week before I moved in to set up a direct debit for Homebox and I thought this was quite invasive. I would’ve definitely preferred some communication around that when I did my viewing or after I paid a holding deposit or even after passing referencing as this is very important information that should be shared early on as it is key in deciding whether you want to live here or not. Customer service for home box isn’t the best and whilst I understand this has nothing to do with the property or management, it is still a requirement for all residents to sign up to Homebox. A little transparency and communication around it at an appropriate time would’ve been good.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Hove Gardens is an amazing place to live. Close to lots of shops, pubs [my favorite part] restaurants, supermarkets, train station, Hove Park, Hove Rugby grounds and excellent transport links to Brighton city centre and beyond. It's great for commuters and families alike! Parking is very restricted, but not impossible. I don't have a car so it's no problem and my visitors have not had problems either. The streets feel safe and are well lit up too and in three months living here, I haven't experienced anything untoward [touch wood] Our apartment faces the bus depot, which can be a bit hectic late at night and early morning but with the double glazed windows you hardly hear anything, so sleeping is never a problem.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Promptly and effectively. Tickets are raised via the resident's portal and they are quickly replied to.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
No surprises at all. Everything was answered and doubts cleared even before signing the lease and moving in.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great location. Amazing bus and train links. Getting into the shops in Hove and to the beach is walkable and easy. Only location related problem for me is that crossing the roads to get to the station when you don’t take the short cut steps feels a bit hazardous - better since trees and bushes have been cut back a bit - but the cars go quite fast and crossing at the junctions with a pram feels a bit tricky. If the management team happen to have any discussions with relevant local authorities a couple of zebra crossings wouldn’t go amiss! :)
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
So far quickly and very helpfully - Victor is fab!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d known about how hot it would get even on not-especially-hot days. But it’s still a great place to live despite that and especially for the price :)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area is great, there are lots of amenities nearby. Everything you could need and want is in close walking distance! The building is very quiet, and we don’t hear any noise from outside either!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, they are extremely quick at dealing with any maintenance issues! This was very impressive
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
More insight into Homebox, how the bills work and how usage is calculated!
Manager response
Hello, Thank you for your valuable feedback, of which I have noted is anonymous. You have raised some highlights about your move-in and the use of the 3rd party utility bill company, Homebox. Please do not hesitate to arrange a meeting with the team for further insights. Alternatively, Becky from Homebox hosts a monthly meeting at Hove Gardens; in which you are welcome to pre-book a timeslot. Please ask for further details from the Front of House Team. It's great to hear that you find the management team to be helpful and that maintenance requests have been dealt with efficiently. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and for choosing Hove Gardens as your "Home". Kind regards, Serena

The staff, the location and facilities make Hove Gardens a very special place to live - A sanctuary in fact.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Irish Mike is so fabulous. He’s the literal light of Hove Gardens. He makes everyone feel special by greeting with a smile and genuinely asking how you are. Which is so lovely to see a friendly face. All of the staff, can’t do enough and make living here an amazing experience.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That I needed more fans. Being on the 11th floor is hot but in the winter, I’m sure I’ll be happy about that
Manager response
