Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is fantastic. Next to Hove mainline station, and very close to the local shopping area. There’s a Dr surgery and pharmacy within walking distance, and 4 major supermarkets nearby too.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The maintenance team are always friendly and quick to respond to any issues. To be honest I haven’t had to use them very often.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Be sure to ask about parking. This is a car free building which means you aren’t able to get a permit through the council.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great area - close to local shops, the station, the park and the beach. Quiet in the evenings. Feels safe. Downside - always dirty/rubbish everywhere outside. The guys who work across the road are also quite noisy throughout the day, yelling a lot.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Staff sometimes unclear of how to help with issues with no next steps provided
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I had been told the billing was individual to each unit and very straightforward- I wish I had known it would be an average/incorrect bill and so high

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Bin collection is not good. The room is always so full and smells terrible. I wish there will be some bins outside that we can use for the little bags at least for recycle (bottles, pizza boxes etc) . I don’t wanna work with the homebox also, I wish it would be another company that doesn’t charge us that much
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They responded at first but didn’t solve it with the follow ups. So it was poor
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Utilities, homebox problems and maintenance issues.
Manager response
Hello C. K. Thank you for your valuable feedback; of which I am disappointed to read. I may be mistaken; however, I do believe that we have potentially met and had a meeting recently to discuss your concerns, of which I hope was beneficial to you. If, however I am incorrect in my observation; please don't hesitate to reach out to the concierge desk or e-mail for my attention and I will reach out to you personally. Kind regards, Serena, General Manager

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Best location I ever lived in Hove. Steps from hove station and near George street and surrounded by market places nearby. Bus stops to get out and about as well.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Prompt reply and very supportive all the way. If they don’t have the answer they always advise others sources
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Only thing is that took a while until they sort out a gym but the opening hours are not quite flexible
Manager response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I prefer living with lower car accessibility as it reduces noise and makes more space for pedestrians. Bin collections are slightly too far between which leads to overflow on occasion. Anti-social behaviour is rare for a city with occasional noise at night.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
When this led to a leak there was a bit of a wait for repairs owing to availability issues for the plumber but the resultant damage to both the pipes and the walls and door frame were quickly repaired afterwards. Everyone was polite and helpful through the entire process.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
There are a lot of children in the building. They are usually very well behaved, but as I live on the first floor there have been occasions with children knocking on my door and/or being loud in the halls.
Manager response

Thank you for choosing Hove Gardens as your home. Kind regards, Serena, General Manager
