We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Ginger Line Building is a London development with city views overlooking St. Katherine Docks. The building is located moments from Shadwell DLR station which offers direct connection to Bank (3 minutes) and Canary Wharf (7 minutes). Additionally, Ginger Line Building is within walking distance of Tower Hill and the City, close to the amenities of St. Katherine's Docks and the green spaces of Wapping.

Had to switch management company multiple times since the previous managers didn't take care of the building. Multiple issues not dealt with in time and had to spend a few winters without hot water or heating throughout the whole building. No shower available for weeks.

The development is well isolated, but that can be a blessing and a curse. It’s great during the winter when it’s really warm and you can keep the windows closed with no outside noise coming in. However, during the summer it’s a nightmare, it’s on the south side with large windows, so it becomes a greenhouse. Also, the fact that you cannot open the windows because of the highway noise makes it a lot worse, especially during the night. I cannot understand why a relatively new building was built without AC. The building hallways have carpet on the floor which gets dirty very quickly and they have no proper ventilation so during the summer they are extremely uncomfortable to walk through. For a new development they have a lot of issues with the plumbing, we had a lot of warm water issues, one time we were left without any water (cold or warm) for 4 days which is absolutely inhumane. The underfloor heating in our flat was installed wrongly so it’s not working in the main bathroom and would require a lot of work to be fixed.

Building is a nice design, very modern and rooms have plenty of sun light. Rooms sizes are good and proportionate benefiting from storage space. But kitchens could benefit from more storage space/cupboards with greater depth to the cupboards. Due to regulations, the buildings are well insulated which means it is very comfortable in the winter but extremely warm in the summer and being next to a main road means you can’t open windows. Some thought should be given to air con or ways to alleviate the intense heat. The building has had a number of issues with maintenance with the service provider appointed being poor but overall Telford have been attentive and building appears to be of a sound quality.
