Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very well connected and close to major grocery stores. However, sometimes dangerous and roads outside are not well lit outside the building

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There were significant issues during our first year in the building. Our freezer remained broken for an extended period, and our intercom was not working for almost a year before being resolved. There was also a lack of organisation around maintenance appointments and fire safety checks, with poor communication and scheduling at times. However, I have noticed a marked improvement more recently. Issues are being addressed more efficiently, communication has improved, and the overall management of the building feels much more organised than it did previously. While there is still room for improvement, it is clear that efforts have been made to turn things around.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

On the practical side, I'd advise new residents to be patient with parcel deliveries and to keep an eye on building communications, as processes can sometimes change.

The apartment block is situated at the heart of Dalston. Plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as cafes are available within a 5min walk radius.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very fast and have always fixed everything to satisfaction.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Hot water issues have been a very persisting issue without any reflection in the rent.

Great area, close to lots of coffee shops, well connected, good pubs, community feel, lots of good amenities

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Well, when the rent renewal is coming up. We’ve had issues with our intercom for over a year. Flagged them at the start of our contract but weren’t resolved until a month before our rent renewal

The fact you might be without hot water for a few weeks

For someone my age 20-30s, Dalston is a great area. Good connections to the city, access to the overground, plenty of bars and restaurants. A quick walk to London Fields.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Í haven’t had any issues as of yet, but building management is always helpful and ready to answer any questions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

None, it’s apparent as soon as you walk in how well kept properties are and how careful managers are

The local area is great! A lot of choices for groceries with multiple supermarkets and Ridley Road market. The area is very diverse and has loads of bars and cafes to choose from. Connection wise is also good with 3 overground lines within 10min walk.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The people working in the building are very friendly and will help with anything. I haven’t had any issues raised with management yet.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only thing I wished I had know is the ability to change the heater provider. It was not clear from the beginning.
