Beautiful flat

Verified Resident

I’ve been here for 2 weeks. The concierge are open 7 days a week 7 to 7, they are informative and have been helping us so much. The flat is very good, we have a view to the gardens and the ceilings are high. The management are okay, i haven’t had much interaction but they manage the property well. The lifts are clean.

Good flat, great location

Verified Resident

We are sun facing so it can get quite hot in the summer. Ive never had any huge problems but the managment fix things quite quickly for our neighbours quickly. Theres a playground here which is great for my daughter. I feel safe with her here as the area is very good.

If there was one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be?

I would make the kitchen space bigger, its quite small but apart from that we love our flat.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Its close to the tube station and the supermarket. The tube noise is quite loud as its right next door

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is no parking licence, there are not enough private spaces for parking for the amount of residents

Amazing location

Verified Resident

The location is so perfect, especially for transport as there are lots of buses, plus the overground and underground. The building is very modern and super energy efficient. The flat is so nice and cool in summer and warm in the winter.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised?

I had some small issues with our flat when we moved in two years ago, they were resolved quickly

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is very familiar, theres good schools for families with kids. All you need is here, shops, cafes, garages and so on

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No, nothing and i’ve been here for 2 years

The area is nice and quiet apart from the trains which make a lot of noise, very safe area.

It’s a well serviced flat now, it used to be a lot worse. The building is secure and safe. It’s well maintained, I have never had any problems or issues. The design is good. There’s easy access to London.

I’ve not had any issues living here so cant make any comments.

Great location, beautiful flat

Verified Resident

It’s a great place to live with kids, there is a park outside for them to enjoy, and i can keep an eye in them through the window. It’s very safe around here, so i dont have to worry about them. The management are not helpful, they are for sure the worst aspect of living here and i would not recommend. The concierge however is very helpful and friendly.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised?

Yes, but they took weeks to respond and did not seem concerned. There have been several complaints and i’ve heard from a neighbour that they are trying to improve.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It is very easy to travel to different parts of London due to the transport links close by, even though the tube next door us horrifically loud

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i had of known how awful the management are, practically non existent.

Great design, managment are improving

Verified Resident

The rooms get way too hot in the summer, its unbearable and stuffy. Aside from that the design of the flat is impeccable. The concierge is great, very welcoming and helpful. The management has improved, however previously it was terrible and absolutely poor value for money. I would say that now it’s only okay. There are some issues with the social housing tenants occasionally.

What is the best feature of your home?

For a one bedroom flat, the dimensions are a great size and the design is of great quality, minus the heat.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good transport connections to the underground and overground, but the tubes are very noisy

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish i had of known how loud the playground outside is in the summer, as well as the tube station next door. Also how atrocious the management were

Nature reserve views at an affordable price

Looking uncannily like an 80s office block – unsurprising since it was formerly occupied by industrial units – Chiswick Point is a development by Bellway, with a team behind it that includes Flanagan Lawrence (planning architect), Boon Brown Associates (construction architect) and Ed O’Donnell from Design O.D. (design of the show apartment). Its main draw is the fact it backs onto Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve, which can be seen from every balcony – this gives residents a real sense of being in the country while still situated in London. The development includes 124 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, along with three-bedroom penthouses (33 of which are affordable housing) and stands between 5 and 8 storeys. Also on site there’s commercial office space, as well as a nursery – extremely handy for families who don’t want to travel far for childcare. The average price per square foot in W4 is GBP1,320 and this development comes in at around GBP850, making it a good option for those attracted to the leafy suburb feel of Chiswick but unwilling to pay a premium to be there.

In terms of public transport, the nearest Zone 3 stations are Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury (both District Line) and South Action (Overground). From Chiswick Park it takes just over 20 minutes to reach London Victoria by Tube. Chiswick is perennially popular with buyers – especially families – due to its relaxed yet bustling atmosphere, with a plethora of pavement cafes for al fresco dining when the sun shines, restaurant courtyards and brasseries in which to enjoy lazy Sunday brunches. Its riverside location means there are plenty of spots for strolls along the Thames before ducking into a quaint pub for a roast or a pint. Those who like to indulge in retail therapy will find high-street names alongside independent boutiques on Chiswick High Road. When it comes to green space, Chiswick has it in spades – of course, Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve is the obvious choice, but there’s also the historic gardens at Chiswick House, Richmond Park and Kew Gardens nearby.

Facilities within Chiswick Point are few and far between, however time-poor residents can depend on an on-site concierge service who will take care of tasks such as arranging transportation, receiving deliveries and greeting visitors on your behalf. Interiors include custom-designed European fitted kitchens with integrated AEG appliances and granite worktops, as well as luxury bathrooms with ceramic tiling for a sleek finish. What’s more, there’s underfloor heating in the main living areas for extra warmth during colder months. Buyers can expect plenty of storage space – always useful for growing families. The private balconies that are accessible from both the bedroom and living area, provide views across the nature reserve and Chiswick – some apartments are even triple aspect, making the most of the natural daylight and surrounding greenery. As mentioned, the exterior of the building will be a little divisive, with its retro concrete facade, but the views from inside are sure to appeal to many buyers.

Buyers should also consider Chiswick Gate and 500 Chiswick High Road in W4.

Fittings lack the wow

We viewed a flat to buy here and were disappointed in the quality of the fixtures and final finish, it just lacked the wow factor internally. We can see the price justified for the location and aspect overlooking the park but for an apartment only a few years old we were concerned by the wear and tear from the current owners
