Living in this area has been a really positive experience overall. The neighbourhood feels safe, the streets are well‑kept, and there’s a strong sense of community. Day‑to‑day conveniences are close by — shops, cafés, and transport links are all within easy reach, which makes getting around simple. It’s also generally quiet, especially in the evenings, which is great for anyone who values a calm environment. There are a few downsides worth mentioning. Parking can be limited at busy times, and some of the surrounding roads get congested during rush hour. While most amenities are nearby, certain services — like larger supermarkets or gyms — require a slightly longer trip. Occasionally, there can be noise from ongoing development in the wider area, though this tends to be temporary. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well‑connected place to live, with a good balance of convenience and community, and only a few minor drawbacks.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. Mostly fine although on one occasion I was told issue was fixed but return home to find it hadn’t be.

How close Newham way was to the development but noise is fine with windows shut

The local amenities are very good with multiple supermarkets and cafes, as well as a gym. Being so close to a well connected station is also amazing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We’ve been informed of any planned checks or work going on well in advance, making it easy to plan around. Whenever an issue is raised to staff it gets broadcast to everyone so we know that’s it being worked on.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Initially we were told the carpet in the bedroom was going to be replaced, it seems that isn’t the case anymore.

There’s a good mix of nearby shops, cafes, and a varied dining scene, plus open spaces and excellent convenience since it’s right opposite the train station, with reliable buses and easy travel, but the bin disposal requires going outside which is inconvenient, and occasional traffic noise can disrupt quiet evenings. I love the convenience and the station opposite, but I don’t like having to go outside to dispose of the bin.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Has an issue with DD and they got to the bottom of it within a couple of hours and told me what it was for and put me at ease

I wish I had known The gym was small and doesn’t have a wide variety of weights

Great restaurants around the area and amazing coffee shop with the best coffee. The tube station is only 2 minutes walking distance from the building. The bad side of the area is the noise level... there's always loud noise in the street (drilling noise, construction noise, people shouting, etc.), so bear this in mind if you like living in a peaceful environment. Even if you keep your windows closed, you will hear the noise!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management is often responsive, but there are a few issues in the building that are still unresolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Loud street noise and lots of pigeons in the area (which always go to our balconies too, creating a mess!!)

The building is facing Canning Town station, so it's a great location for commuting. The traffic noise is one of the main downsides of living here, as the building is located on a very busy road. There are many shops and restaurants in the area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management is usually very responsive. I haven't had any major issue in my flat, so I can't provide examples.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise level of the street and the (too many) pigeons in the area.
