The building management of Amory Tower is appalling and the building is low grade.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Amory Tower is served well by South Quay DLR which runs frequently but can be noisy and is regularly closed at the weekends which means a 15 minute walk to Canary Wharf DLR or the Elizabeth Line. Canary Wharf has a good range of shops and restaurants. South Quay has a wonderful Indian restaurant Manjal with super food and great staff, which is less than a minute from Amory Tower. Across from the building is B. Bakery run by Ukrainians which offers super coffee and pastries. The outside of Amory Tower is not well kept. The little park could be charming but is not well kept and often has bins spilling out with rubbish, dogs being exercised (lots of tennant's have dogs ) and the ground around the building and in Marsh Wall are dirty and should be pressure washed regularly. There is no parking in the street but Amory Tower underground parking which maybe expensive.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The building flatters to deceive. Many of the flats are occupied by tenants and lots appear to be rented through Airbnb. If viewing Amory Tower as a potential tenant, visit every area of the building, the rubbish area on the ground floor, inspect the rubbish chute to check if it is working and clean with no smell, visit the pool, sauna and steam area, open the showers and bathrooms, visit the park and walk around the outside of the building. Ask to speak to the Building Manager. Renting maybe worth it but purchasing would be a high risk because of the lack management and neglect of the building and with many new blocks being built at South Quay/Canary Wharf area. The flats could be hard to sell.
What is the best feature of your home:
The Canary Wharf area and the DLR service from South Quay during the week.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is disappointing for a property marketed as Canary Wharf. Yes, Canary Wharf is just across the water but still a good 15 min walk to across at least two bridges. The South Quay DLR is conveniently near but any commute into London will require a couple changes or a good walk to get to the Jubilee or Elizabeth lines. Marsh Wall is a busy street with cars at all times of the day and the occasional idiot speeding down at full speed in a noisy sports car. There’s a quaint little park just outside the building but unfortunately smells of rotting rubbish most days. Floors 1-15 belong to a separately-managed development with some antisocial residents that although they have a separate entrance will occasionally make scenes in the lobby and have at times been violent to the concierge staff and residents of the more luxurious higher flats. In addition, most residents in the higher floors are foreign students living as if it where university accommodation and hence the whole building including the communal areas feel like college dormitories and common rooms.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
It is impossible to communicate with them. No replies to emails and the phone number given to me does not exist.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The quality of the design and how uncomfortable the temperatures inside can be. Also the noise the building makes when it rattles in the wind. The other residents being mostly foreign students with little decorum or regard for community living make it an uncomfortable commute from entrance to your home.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Nice and relatively quiet area, a good 10 minutes walk to Canary Wharf tube station or Crossrail, next to inner Millwall dock and South dock, with some small supermarkets nearby. The DLR station is 2 minutes walk from the building.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
No issues so far, they seem very friendly and helpful.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The noise from the DLR is louder than I had expected.
