Great Home in the Heart of Birmingham - Perfect for Young Professionals

Lamine (Tenant)

Paradise View, B1

Apr 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The accomodation is in the heart of Birmingham, a 1-minute walk from New Street Station and direct access to High Street and an energetic nightlife scene 2mins away for anyone that enjoys going out over the weekend. Little traffic noise even in the heart of the city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building staff available on location and very responsive on both email and WhatsApp. Always easy to talk to and looking for solutions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I moved in when the building just opened, so there weren't many people living in it yet. I was worried what neighbours and other renters would be like and if I would fit in. Most people are students or young professionals, creating a very welcoming and lively athmosphere.

The design of the flats is truly beautiful and simple

Sofia Silva (Tenant)

Paradise View, B1

Apr 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at Paradise View has been great. It’s so convenient to be right in the city centre, close to everything I need. Despite the central location, there’s no traffic noise in my room, and the social areas are quiet and peaceful—perfect for working from home or reading a book. One thing that could be improved is the bin collection; better management would really help. Also, finding a more efficient solution for the parking area would make things even better and more attractive for the future residents.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

"I haven't had any experience yet, but my neighbours said the response was really good and fast."

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly, I’d appreciate more information about how the deposit is handled, upcoming payments, and how to sort out things like council tax, electricity, and general household responsibilities. I think the agency could consider being more flexible, even if someone’s annual income doesn’t exactly meet the requirements. I do understand the system, but offering alternative solutions could really help tenants manage things more smoothly—just a thought. That said, the agency has been very supportive, especially Ahmed. I’d definitely recommend Paradise View!

Looks Good on the Outside—Deeply Mismanaged and Emotionally Exhausting

Sergio Gutiérrez (Tenant)

Verified Resident

Clay Salford Quays, M50

Apr 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good: The area around Salford Quays is well-connected with trams into Manchester, close to MediaCity, and has great views and waterside paths. Bad: Unfortunately, the poor building management and predatory energy billing practices made it impossible to enjoy the area. The stress of unresolved issues severely undermined what could have been a good location.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most of my complaints were ignored entirely. On rare occasions I received a response, it was patronising and dismissive. Even in situations involving mental health crises, there was no urgency or empathy shown.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the Homebox utility billing system, which operates without transparency or accountability. It has led to inflated, unexplainable charges and serious distress. If I had seen even one honest review before signing, I would have walked away.
