Modern design

Verified Resident

It has a very modern design and is tightly managed. Response is very quick to any issues and the building is kept very clean. The communal washing machines are almost always being used on weekends so washing is ideal during the week. As soon as something breaks it is fixed as quickly as possible

I like the location. It is very close to East Croydon station and is opposite the whitgift center

Most residents aren’t too friendly

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Generally it is very quick. But it can be slow over the holiday periods

Great place – safe, cozy and close to everything you might need

I think we all agree that the best part related to the property is Selna, the manager 😄 She is one of the most helpful and efficient persons I have ever seen. Everything went so smooth and professional starting from her showing me the property through a video call (as I was not in the country) and explaining me literally everything, to actually moving in. We had a great communication throughout the whole renting process and she answered and explained me every single thing I asked.
Regarding the property, it is a really great place for me as a student, as it is located in a good area with great transport links, the studio is modern and equipped with everything I need and the security of the property is a major plus as you can only access it with individual cards and there are CCTVs everywhere.
Another really great thing about this place is that if there are any repairs that your studio needs, you just email the maintenance team and they resolve it almost immediately.
I have been living here for a month and I already feel like home!

The property is located in a very good area with plenty of supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury, M&S food, Aldi etc., a lot of shops and great transport links (the overground station is 2 minutes away from the building and the underground is 5 minutes away).

Regarding the property there was no important thing that I wish I’d known.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I wouldn’t change anything. Everything was even better than expected.

Ideal Short-term option

The best thing about this place is that the flats are modern – they are quite small, but I found that cozy.
Having to keep a key card for electricity can get annoying, but if you request a 2nd card (£25 fee), that eliminates that problem.
I’ve enjoyed my time here, but this place is ideal for people looking for short-term rental options, not long-term.
Not having a stove is also a con as you cannot actually cook anything in the building, so be prepared to order take-out a lot.

Pros:
– Close to station & supermarket
– Good value for money (rent)
– Thick walls and windows so the flats are quite
Cons:
– No Kitchen
– Laundry is quite expensive
– Fees when moving out

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

– Fire alarms went off quite often, which was annoying
– Communication with residents should be better. If someone is entering my flat, I should know about this. Many times maintenance staff have entered my flat without informing me of this.

Convenient location, nice facilities

The Swiss Cottage is a very nice hotel-like apartment. The weekly cleaning service is extremely convenient, and it’s comforting to have a staff member 24/7. The location is also very convenient, being across the street from Waitrose and the Finchley Road tube station. It’s a bit pricey and lacks a full kitchen, but overall I’ve enjoyed my stay.
