The Quarters Swiss Cottage is located just a stone’s throw away from Finchley Road Underground station and Finchley and Frognal overground with great connections to Metropolitan, Jubilee and Mildmay lines connecting to the central London. Great selection of activities in the area, Waitrose just opposite the building and a Sainsbury’s 5’ walk away. Nearby selection of gyms, including 24/7 options, two cinemas within walking distance and an amazing selection of small local cafes and restaurants nearby. The street facing flats are exposed to some traffic noise, but the noise cancelling windows make up for it.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quick response to either email, text or call. Any maintenance issues addressed within a day and fixed on the spot

The laundry room has two washing machines, so I needed to plan my laundry in smaller chunks and more often

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The building is in the centre of Croydon where many restaurants, cafes and super markets can be found. The high market has all the necessary brand names and it’s less than 5 minute walk from the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Fast and effectively, usually in a couple of days.

There were no surprises when I moved in, everything was the way I expected it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I’ve had a really positive experience living at The Quarters. The location is very convenient, and the studio is extremely well designed. My room is only around 22 square metres, but the layout makes very good use of the space and it feels comfortable rather than cramped. I particularly like the large study table, which is great for working from home, and the fact that the apartment comes fully furnished. The furniture, kitchen and bathroom all feel thoughtfully designed and practical. Overall, I’d give the design and facilities 5 out of 5. The only downside for me is that the building is quite close to the road, so there can be some traffic noise at times. Apart from that, I’m very happy with the apartment and think the space has been designed exceptionally well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been very responsive and friendly. I haven’t had any major issues so far, but whenever I’ve had a question or needed help, they have responded quickly and been helpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known a little more about the room size before moving in. The studio is very well designed and makes good use of the space, but I would have preferred it to be slightly larger. That said, for a studio, it works very well.

Very close to transport links and town centre. Close to shops and restaurants. Plenty to do when going out.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quick reply and prompt fixing of the issues the very next day. Excellent service.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not to be biased by other people's opinions of the area. People tend to have a somewhat negative perception of Croydon but it looks very nice so far!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Quarters Croydon is the best location! Proximity to shops, trains, trams, buses and the Overground is around 7 mins! The crosswalk out the front door to Whitgift Centre is a godsend! The glazing on the windows blocks out the road noise when closed. I never hear my neighbours either. There are squares nearby, outside, behind and near the East Croydon station, plus Park Hill is a short walk for a beautiful park with tennis courts, a herb garden, dog-walking and grassy picnic space. I feel happy every day knowing I will be home in an short, easy journey from Central London. The Quarters Croydon is just one stop from London Bridge or Clapham Junction, 2 from Victoria or Waterloo and 20 mins to Gatwick Airport or St Pancras for Eurostar.

I haven't raised any problems. I imagine they would be helpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It's a wonderful place to live and has a great community feel. The annual Christmas party brings people together and as big as the building is, I feel at home and that I can talk to fellow residents in the lift or in passing. The friendly tone is set by the staff that we are all living together and in London, or any city, that is a real gift!
