Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in Lochrin Quay is generally very pleasant. The area has a great range of local shops and cafes, especially around Fountainbridge and the Union Canal. There are several supermarkets nearby and plenty of open spaces like Bruntsfield Links and The Meadows within walking distance, which is very handy. Transport links are also very good, there are frequent buses to the city centre and nearby train and tram connections, although traffic can get quite busy during rush hours. The street itself is usually quiet and well-maintained, with regular bin collections and secure parking, though visitor spaces can be limited. There’s very little anti-social behaviour, and the canalside location gives it a nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I had a few issues such as water leaks, but the building management responded quickly and had everything fixed promptly and professionally.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d known that parking spaces for visitors can be quite limited, especially during weekends.

Good connected, it need more security. We had an issue last week, someone tried to brake in our flat. He’s been arrested, but how he got in?
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
He haven’t. We have boiler leaks last week. All fixed, quite quick
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We have been good informed about everything. Not issue when we moved in

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Only 7 min walk from DLR station and 15 min walk to train station There aren’t many shops around, it would be great once work are finished to have some new local shops There is parking in the building but it comes with an extra cost, and if you have guests coming to visit you need parking tickets that can be used only in specific areas around the building
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
In the past not great, it has always taken ages to get everything fixed, now it’s going better however one of the lifts is still not working
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew the constructions were lasting forever

Lochrin Quay - A Flat Worth the Move!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Very close to a range of different shops and restaurants! As someone who is a vet student, and needs to take the 15 bus daily, this flat makes travelling fast and easy, with a less than 5 minute walk to the bus stop. Many of my friends live on this side of town, and this flat is located centrally between all of them. There are limited bad aspects of living here, however one is how busy the alleyway can be at night. Often you can hear people’s conversations, which is a bit frustrating during the weekend nights. There is often construction, however this is limited to weekends, so not often a bother.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
there have been limited issues raised from our flat, however, building management has always been fast to reply and fix the issue for us. Typically issues are fixed within two days, and they are very flexible with working around our busy schedule.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
This flat is very beautiful inside and out, especially being right next to the canal. This said, I would’ve liked to know that depending on where your room is located within the flat, you may experience a lot of traffic, especially at night, which can be quite frustrating. For example, my room is located against an alleyway, and often has many people moving around at late hours. Even with windows closed, I can hear conversations which sometimes keep me awake.

Such a shame that the property managers are so useless

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Dock Road and its surrounding area don't have much to offer, however the bus and train station nearby make it really easy to go to anywhere (Liverpool is just 15mn away). Some more developments are to come apparently, including a supermarket (it was supposed to open as I write this review but building hasn't even started yet). Parking is a bit of an issue for many people, the non-nominative parking spot is an extra £75 which is a bit of a rip off.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
It's is incredibly hard to get anything done in a timely manner, they either don't reply, close your maintenance requested by marking them as complete, or just don't take any responsibility for anything.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I have never rented a place before where it takes at least 4/5 weeks to get a problem sorted by the landlord. This is absolutely appalling and anyone considering renting here should be aware of how unhelpful and unwilling to do their job JLL are...
