AVOID THIS PLACE !!!

Millers Quay, CH41

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's nice leaving by the water and being 10 minutes away from Birkenhead, Wallasey and Liverpool. On the other hand, the council is refusing to add some pedestrian facilities even though Dock Road and Duke street are busy roads and dangerous to cross. A Sainsbury's Local was supposed to open this autumn right by Millers Quay but they haven't even started building the foundations yet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They dont. They will never be held accountable for anything, always blaming it on others.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I really wish I was told before even considering this place that it was so poorly managed by such unprofessional property managers.

The Convenience of Lochrin Quay

Lochrin Quay, EH3

Nov 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lochrin Quay is located almost centrally in Edinburgh, with a wide range of shops and restaurants in every direction. It’s located just far enough from the busy streets that traffic is unnoticeable, however it is not too far such that it takes no longer than 5 minutes to reach the bus stop. As a student, this was a particular necessity for me, as I need to commute every day. Bin collections are located just outside the building, which is extremely convenient as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management always responds in a timely manner (less than 24 hours), and works quickly to help assist us with any issues we have.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How quiet the building is! We did see other students upon viewing, and thought there may be more noise, however very rarely do we hear our neighbours, as well as each other through the flat.
