Great apartment and location. Well managed and a great 'stop-gap' base.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is one of the best things about living at Miller’s Quay. It’s right on the waterfront with great views and plenty of space for walking, while still being very convenient for Birkenhead and Liverpool. Transport links are excellent, particularly the nearby Merseyrail stations and buses, and Liverpool city centre is very easy to reach. There are supermarkets and everyday amenities close by, although the immediate area around the development is still developing and could benefit from more cafés, restaurants and shops. Generally, I found the area quiet and pleasant, with very little traffic noise or antisocial behaviour.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Everything I raised I received a reply. Communal repairs seemed slow as it was outsourced.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew the opening date of the new Sainsbury's. It literally opened a few days before I moved out.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great place for a young couple, especially for location and connections. Also now much more convenient with the local Sainsbury's!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have had minimal issues to raise but any concerns that we have could be logged via the app or reception and addressed
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would love to have known how practical the flats are- both internally with the storage space and layout as well as practically of access to Liverpool and the Wirral. There is bike storage, always a parking space avaliable and great gym

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Honestly there was nothing to complain about at all living in Miller Quays, I really loved it and will miss the place. I only ever intended to move in for the last 6 months of my studies at uni, and moved out because I’m graduating this month, and going to move back home and work closer to my family home. If I had to stay in Liverpool however, I would definitely have stayed at Millers Quay. The rent is very affordable especially for all the space you get. Lovely size kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. My own washing machine. No appliance ever broke down on me and the structure of the property was really amazing. Great gym and study space. Amazing docks. The only thing that made living here a bit difficult is the parking facilities as I did get anxious a few times whether I was going to get a parking space as close as possible, especially when carrying shopping back home. However, I never actually got into a situation where I had no where to park or had to park far away in the 6 months living here. And whenever I did need to carry something heavy I just parked outside the building and then moved my car before 30 minutes, so all was fine!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Can’t comment as never had a maintenance issue. Never had a problem
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Wasn’t familiar much with Wallasey/birkenhead so would have liked to know more about local fun things to do
Manager response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The surrounding area is somewhat run down, although a Sainsbury’s is due to open nearby. However, this was originally promised to open over a year ago and has yet to do so. At present, the nearest supermarket is at least a 25-minute walk away, making the location less convenient for everyday shopping. One of the building’s key advantages is the attractive views from one side. However, the remaining three sides overlook neighbouring buildings or a busy main road. Parking is also limited. All allocated spaces are currently occupied, with parking available at an additional cost of £75 per month when spaces become available. There is no guest parking, which can make it inconvenient for visitors and may feel isolating for residents who regularly receive guests.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building manager responded poorly to issues that were raised. Maintenance concerns were often dismissed rather than addressed, and we were told that some building defects would have to be paid for by us, despite them appearing to result from the building’s design. Complaints were not handled professionally, communication was dismissive, and when we continued to raise legitimate concerns, we felt we were treated unfairly and ultimately asked to leave through no fault of our own.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would have liked to know about the recurring security issues, including the frequent failures of the entrance doors, the quality of the building management, and how maintenance concerns were handled. I also would have wanted to know that residents raising legitimate complaints could be met with dismissive or unprofessional responses. Better transparency about the condition of the facilities, such as the gym equipment, and the limited provision of entry fobs would also have helped me make a more informed decision before moving in.
Manager response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The only downside is now near by coffee shop etc, however you are 15 min walk from Birkenhead Park and Oxton Village just beyond that. Local bus gets you into New Brighton and Victoria Road within 15 mins or a quick uber ride
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Within a few days, however the only issue I had was me breaking the curtain chain, which they replaced within a few days
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
If any more developments are going to happen, good news is that Sainsbury’s is opening this summer
