Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living at Apo at The Holloway has been a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable; you have the best of Birmingham’s shops and restaurants at The Mailbox and Grand Central just minutes away. There’s a brilliant range of bars and local gyms, and the nearby canal walks provide a lovely escape for some open space. Transport links are incredibly convenient, with New Street Station practically on the doorstep, making commuting effortless. Life on the street itself is great—it feels safe, the building management handles bin collections perfectly, and despite being so central, the soundproofing is excellent, so traffic noise is never an issue. The community atmosphere here is top-notch, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone wanting high-quality city living!"
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management at Apo has been consistently professional and proactive. Whenever I’ve raised a maintenance request or a general query via the resident app, the team has responded rapidly—often within the same day. They don't just acknowledge the issue; they provide clear timelines for resolution and follow up to ensure everything is sorted to a high standard, which makes living here feel very well-supported.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known—in the best way possible—is just how much the resident app and community events actually shape your lifestyle here. From a typical viewing, you see the beautiful bricks and mortar, but you don't realize how much you'll come to rely on the app for everything from unlocking doors to booking the shared spaces.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The Copper House Apartments are located in an ideal location to all of the shops and transportation links of the Liverpool city centre. The views are great because it is located right across from the Royal Albert Docks and the location is within a few minutes walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and the best that Liverpool has to offer.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have not had any issues arise, but the maintenance staff do regular maintenance and inspections on the building and units.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The units on the side facing the water and the Royal Albert Docks afford great views; however, you will be closer to Strand Street and the ambient noise from traffic and sirens from emergency vehicles could affect you if you are sensitive to noise.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I think that it’s a great area when it’s compared to shops bars, restaurants, places like that. My apartment has become the central meeting place due to its centralized location in the city.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management is very fast to respond to any issues. If I tell them the night before they’re usually there the next day, depending if any parts are needed.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Nothing specific. The only thing is, I wish there was a storage location on site, because since the flats come furnished some of the furniture, I would like to replace, but nowhere to store it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
One of the main drawbacks is parking. The building has a limited number of allocated spaces, and additional parking can be expensive on top of the property price. Street parking is also restricted at times, particularly in the evenings. On a positive note, complimentary internet is provided within the building, which is a valuable benefit for residents.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I usually contact the building management via email, and responses are generally prompt. Communication is clear and issues are typically acknowledged quickly, with follow-up provided where necessary.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I had not realised that all parking within the building is chargeable and limited. There are no included spaces, which can significantly increase overall costs for residents who require parking
Manager response
Hi! Thank you so much for your feedback - we appreciate that you've taken the time to offer a fair and balanced review, giving acknowledgement to the team but also giving us things to improve on! Whilst we're unable to change some of the building limitations you've raised, we will look at some of the cleaning and communal standards feedback and work with our team on these.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Was completely mis-led on this property. When doing the viewing I was told all about how it’s working professionals, car park waiting list & community events. It’s mostly filled with students and people who set the alarm off constantly, a car park waiting list where the staff don’t care and offer it to residents they’re friendly with and community events which just involve local people selling stuff in reception.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I’ve raised issues like my fridge making a loud noise all the time and was told that I’m lying and fridges just do that. The heating in the apartment is terrible and not enough to heat very well so it’s cold a lot of the time, I’d recommend if you do live here to buy extra heaters and prepare for large electricity costs.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew how many students and young, 18/19 year olds lived in the building. They sell it as luxury living but really you just pay for the location. Staff are horrible to each other and members of the public, I’ve had my parcels stolen after staff have signed for them and witnessed them to say the same to other residents who have tried to find them and they often dismiss it saying they don’t care or they can’t check the cctv and have to get the police involved. There’s no common decency from the staff at all. When raising these concerns the manager I spoke to was horrible and condescending so don’t expect any sympathy from them. They want you to sign a tenancy then treat you horribly for the tenancy and then offer a rent increase of £150pcm after the term has ended.
