Close to everything. Apartment is not refurbished & repaired as expected. I requested certain things prior to moving in but unfortunately, not followed.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They responded carefully. However, their response was a bit later than expected.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Making sure it's refurbished before moving in. I was rushing to move.

The area has a good mix of local shops, takeaways, and supermarkets within walking distance, along with several cosy pubs and cafés. There are also a few open green spaces nearby, perfect for walking or relaxing outdoors. Public transport is fairly reliable, with bus stops and train stations easily accessible, although peak times can get busy. Parking on the street is generally available but can be tight in the evenings. Bin collections are regular, and the council usually keeps the area tidy. It’s a quiet and friendly neighbourhood overall, with low levels of anti-social behaviour and minimal traffic noise.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been generally responsive, addressing most issues within a reasonable timeframe, though occasional follow-ups are sometimes needed for less urgent matters.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how limited the on-street parking can be in the evenings—it's not obvious during viewings. Also, bin collection days can be inconsistent after bank holidays, which can be frustrating if you're not aware. A helpful tip for new neighbours would be to get to know the local WhatsApp or community group early on—it’s great for updates, recommendations, and getting support from others in the building.

Living in this area has been quite pleasant overall. There’s a good variety of local shops, cafes and open spaces that give the neighbourhood a welcoming feel. Transport links are generally reliable, with decent access to buses and train services, though occasional delays do happen. Parking can be hit or miss, especially during peak hours, and bin collection schedules are not always consistent. Street noise is minimal most days, though weekends tend to be livelier. Anti-social behaviour isn’t a widespread issue but does crop up occasionally.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been fairly quick in resolving most issues, from minor repairs to general maintenance. Communication channels are easy to use, and staff are courteous. Occasionally there are delays, but overall, they take resident feedback seriously and follow through effectively.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how quickly the bins fill up and the timing for collection—getting used to the rhythm took a bit of adjustment. Also, while the building has great amenities, some shared spaces can get quite busy during peak hours. I’d recommend new neighbours keep an eye out for quieter times to enjoy them fully.

Very good location which is very close to an Aldi and large Tesco Extra. Close to Stevenage Old Town and shops too.

Not applicable as of yet because we moved in recently

Detailed and reliable measurements of the flat would've been useful to have before moving in

Ideal ‘central’ location. 5 Mins Walk to Old Town 5 Mins Walk to New Town 10 Mins Walk to Train Station Plenty of Parking Bays for Residents (Paid) Only downside is that the flat is roadside so it’s very noisy especially if the windows are open…
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes. But there are still numerous items unresolved…

Wish I knew how hot it gets in the flat during summer. Traffic noise does not help either…
