Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area has a good range of shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants within walking distance, as well as some nice green spaces nearby. Public transport links are convenient, with regular bus and train services making commuting straightforward. Parking can sometimes be limited during peak hours, but overall the street feels safe and relatively quiet. Definitely a lovely change from London!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management have been responsive and helpful when issues were raised. Queries are acknowledged promptly and updates are provided where necessary. Any maintenance concerns have been handled in a reasonable timeframe, and the team are approachable and easy to deal with. Special thanks to Anne, Jazmin and Rosa… they have been particularly helpful, friendly and professional throughout, and have made communication and resolving queries much easier.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Each of the properties have almost everything you will need so there is no need to bring so much with you!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in Woking, Surrey offers a great balance of convenience and quality of life. The town centre provides a wide range of shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, along with entertainment options such as the New Victoria Theatre and The Lightbox gallery, fast and frequent trains to London Waterloo in around 25 minutes

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

From my experience living at The Marches, the building management team has been responsive and professional whenever I’ve raised an issue. Maintenance requests have been acknowledged quickly, and repairs have usually been carried out within a reasonable timeframe

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

nothing, it was perfect moving in with no problems at all, perfect neighbours and not noisy at all.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Amenities inside the development is amazing except the bin chute which sometimes is blocked and causes hassle to dispose. Locality and shops is amazing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. The hot water issue was resolved for us promptly after talking to management.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The flat is a little smaller in terms of storage. Bin is small too

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The amount and range of nearby shops/restaurants are amazing. We never have to walk longer than 3 minutes to go anywhere. The train connections are brilliant and one of the main reasons we live here. The street is reasonably safe but does frequent the odd bad character. Driving around the area can also be confusing.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have raised one issue that wasn’t addressed but that is all, we did not push on it in all fairness as the issue seemed to resolve itself.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Getting to the building for short one stop trips or drop offs can be a pain and a bit confusing at first, but this very trivial.

Marches: Good location & accommodation - expensive

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Woking is great for commuting to London and has good local amenities and shops. The buskers in the town centre can be very loud which is a minus if you live in the centre. There are a lot more dogs in town since The Marches opened with it's pet friendly policy. Nice place to live if you are young, fit and like dogs. Area is pretty safe but take care with your bike.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes and within the expected time frame. There was an issue with a faulty fire alarm which occured at midnight ( kept going off every few minutes - couldn't be stopped). Engineer arrived approx 5 hours later.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Get a copy of the history of amenity fixed costs (electricity, heating, cooling) and also of recent annual rent increases for the apartment you are interested in.
