Apartment living in Media City
The development itself is quite new, the building is well laid out with common spaces for tenants to use on the ground floor. Reception is staffed almost 24/7 and all of the team are friendly and helpful. We moved here from abroad and the manager, Avril, was really helpful with the reservation process and coordinating the move in itself.

Media city is an up-and-coming area with lots to see & do. It’s conveniently located to both the city center and Trafford but has great bars, restaurants and a theatre within walking distance. The only negative is a lack of car parking, but this is common in Manchester, there is a multistory next door for an additional cost.

Nothing as such about the apartment but I would recommend everyone to walk around the area and make sure it’s a fit for the type of place you want to live
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Acknowledged the problem and assisted in resolution
Best place to live
It’s like living in a family that does not intrude your privacy. A huge pro is that your pets are welcome and people in the building are very respectful of other’s pets. There’s a gym, a conference room which can be right back booked for a meeting and a coworking space if you are bored to work from home.

Nice community, every sort of facility close to the building. Never experienced anti social behaviour around here. It’s a great place to live.

Can’t think of something I would had known before moving in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Wonderful Community
Modern design with large windows and high ceilings. The management is friendly, professional, and extremely proactive in improving living conditions for residents. They have forged relations with all residents and make this development feel like a community. They hold events such as weekly yoga classes. Residents are generally considerate and friendly with a high standard of hygiene. There’s gym in the building that is free for residents to use and complementary hot beverages. Overall, this is a lovely place to call home.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
The area is well-maintained and not too crowded. It is quite safe, security staff frequently patrol the quays and for example I’ve had no issues running outside past 11pm. The design of the buildings and the layout of the developments are modern and artistic, with open spaces in between. The canal provides a beautiful and relaxing environment away from the stressful city life. The tram station is very close, and bus stops also nearby. Generally clean and not too noisy. There is a local Sainsbury’s within walking distance and a local convenience store next door. Major supermarkets deliver with low cost.

I have been quite lucky to come across this place in my exploration. While other landlords and rental agencies are openly opportunistic, trying to pit potential tenants against each other to compete for the available options, the Green Rooms team treats potential renters with respect and operates on a first-come-first-serve basis which is fair and non-greedy. I think anyone looking for a place to rent or buy would be fortunate to make the first contact with the Green Rooms team and that should be enough to provide a taste of how exceptional this place is.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team is very open and actively seeks feedback from residents. They have promptly addressed the few issues I’ve had and have given me valuable advice about the area. They even lent me a hoover to use for the duration of my tenancy so I wouldn’t need to buy one. They have exceeded my expectations in providing support to ensure a high quality of life for residents.
Modern apartments with good river views, hot in the winter
New, modern development just at the tip of Media City
Apartments spacious and modern and good value for what you get
Good kitchen space and fast WiFi included
In the summer the top floor gets quite hot making it difficult to sleep, especially as the windows only open a fraction
Bike storage a little bit limited given the number of bikes
Good, well-equipped gym in the ground floor and free coffee in the lobby

Near Media City and Imperial War Museum tram stops
Slightly out from the town centre so would need to bike/tram
Parking difficult: Limited street parking nearby and Multi-Storey £170 per month

I have had no problems whatsoever, everything is great!
Our perfect place to live in Manchester!
THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK, we love the look and design. Its modern, simplistic, and real good quality furnishings and finishes.
The facilities are great. We often make use of the ‘social room’ on the ground floor overlooking the canal. When we have friends over, we go play a game of pool. Its also a great spot to host small gatherings with an equipped kitchen, lots of comfy seating too.
The Bin room is the only downside to this area, as the entrance is in the same corridoor to this social space, and often smells quite bad walking through. but you get through there in a quick second.
The Gym is great! Often quiet, with all the essentials.
The lobby is beautiful! And always such a great sight to come home to.
We love the fact that apartments have built in wardrobes, quality bedroom furnishings and super comfortable mattresses if you going fully furnished!
The management team are really superb! Made our process of signing the rental exciting instead of a dread. They were so quick and helpful to address ‘issues’ such a wonky mattress when we moved in. Replaced with a brand new one on the same day. Always lovely to chat with all the staff!
One ‘downside’ when we moved in, is that the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. So we had to take that on as a bit of a challenge (Cleaning the washing machine – inside and out) The previous tenants left the dishwasher in a bit of a state and the mould / mildew in the bathroom was quite bad) But that was resolved quickly by ourselves.
The BEST feature of this property is the soundproofing! You never hear a neighbour! We feel comfortable to be able to watch an action packed movie on loud, knowing we aren’t bothering our neighbours and vice versa.
In the summer (now) with most people having their balconies open and enjoying the good weather, you can hear them, but the moment you move inside, with the door open, it becomes light background noise.
We are very happy with the property, facilities, value and management! We plan on being here for a long time!

THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK is situated in a perfect position for our needs.
We were firstly sold on the view of our apartment. We have an L shape balcony that overlooks the canal, and extends to the side for perfect sunset viewing.
The area is great for us. We love the modern city living feel, but with a much quieter area that is Media City. The bars and restaurants in the vicinity are great, being able to go for a nice dinner, an afternoon drink, often have live music and / or a great vibe always.
Initially, grocery shopping was not that convenient as there are no major shops around. The local General Store did the trick for quick few item pick ups, but with the new CoOp having opened, which is a decent size and allows for more cost effective grocery shopping has changed that.
The tram being a quick 3min walk away, allows us to easily pop across to a lidl just a few stops away which also solves that inconvenience.
Being able to grab a Costa on the way to work, is the best part, basically on the doorstep, and a lovely breakfast bistro across the road for easy weekend treats.
Honestly, the position fits every requirement we have!

Moving in / out your apartment can be quite a mission as there are only two elevators to service 19 floors.
Arrange for early morning / late evening if you can. And ensure you speak to the management about getting a key to lock the elevator for your use only. This makes it quicker and tenants aren’t trying to fit in elevators with you and all your stuff.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, we were experiencing a lot of ‘dust’ in the apartment. They arranged for the air filters to be cleaned for us in a timely manner. During this, the maintenance bloke, dropped a pipe on our wall, which marked it, but very quickly came and sorted that out with a fresh coat of paint. Very happy with the way they handle queries in a very timely manner.

Great place in Salford
Very close to public transport. Having a great meeting spaces which I’d love to work in here. Comfy furniture. Nice view.
We’d love to have more affordable parking slot. Unfortunately there might be noice around here due to construction or cleaning.

Green Rooms is a good place to live
The building has been designed well, with high ceilings/doors making the apartments feel sizeable. The balcony views along the canal are fantastic.
The building could do with more than two lifts, as this can lead to congestion and delays at times. Also the bin store could have been better thought out as it opens directly onto the main corridor.
The building manager and her team are fantastic. Always willing to help and find a solution to any issues that arise.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Great facilities on the door step (bars, restaurants, supermarkets) and easy access to the city centre via Metrolink.
Parking is expensive and limited to one multi-storey car park opposite the building.
Area can get busy during peak summer season and when football games are being played at Old Trafford
