THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK, we love the look and design. Its modern, simplistic, and real good quality furnishings and finishes.
The facilities are great. We often make use of the ‘social room’ on the ground floor overlooking the canal. When we have friends over, we go play a game of pool. Its also a great spot to host small gatherings with an equipped kitchen, lots of comfy seating too.
The Bin room is the only downside to this area, as the entrance is in the same corridoor to this social space, and often smells quite bad walking through. but you get through there in a quick second.
The Gym is great! Often quiet, with all the essentials.
The lobby is beautiful! And always such a great sight to come home to.

We love the fact that apartments have built in wardrobes, quality bedroom furnishings and super comfortable mattresses if you going fully furnished!

The management team are really superb! Made our process of signing the rental exciting instead of a dread. They were so quick and helpful to address ‘issues’ such a wonky mattress when we moved in. Replaced with a brand new one on the same day. Always lovely to chat with all the staff!

One ‘downside’ when we moved in, is that the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. So we had to take that on as a bit of a challenge (Cleaning the washing machine – inside and out) The previous tenants left the dishwasher in a bit of a state and the mould / mildew in the bathroom was quite bad) But that was resolved quickly by ourselves.

The BEST feature of this property is the soundproofing! You never hear a neighbour! We feel comfortable to be able to watch an action packed movie on loud, knowing we aren’t bothering our neighbours and vice versa.
In the summer (now) with most people having their balconies open and enjoying the good weather, you can hear them, but the moment you move inside, with the door open, it becomes light background noise.

We are very happy with the property, facilities, value and management! We plan on being here for a long time!

THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK is situated in a perfect position for our needs.
We were firstly sold on the view of our apartment. We have an L shape balcony that overlooks the canal, and extends to the side for perfect sunset viewing.
The area is great for us. We love the modern city living feel, but with a much quieter area that is Media City. The bars and restaurants in the vicinity are great, being able to go for a nice dinner, an afternoon drink, often have live music and / or a great vibe always.
Initially, grocery shopping was not that convenient as there are no major shops around. The local General Store did the trick for quick few item pick ups, but with the new CoOp having opened, which is a decent size and allows for more cost effective grocery shopping has changed that.
The tram being a quick 3min walk away, allows us to easily pop across to a lidl just a few stops away which also solves that inconvenience.
Being able to grab a Costa on the way to work, is the best part, basically on the doorstep, and a lovely breakfast bistro across the road for easy weekend treats.
Honestly, the position fits every requirement we have!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Moving in / out your apartment can be quite a mission as there are only two elevators to service 19 floors.
Arrange for early morning / late evening if you can. And ensure you speak to the management about getting a key to lock the elevator for your use only. This makes it quicker and tenants aren’t trying to fit in elevators with you and all your stuff.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we were experiencing a lot of ‘dust’ in the apartment. They arranged for the air filters to be cleaned for us in a timely manner. During this, the maintenance bloke, dropped a pipe on our wall, which marked it, but very quickly came and sorted that out with a fresh coat of paint. Very happy with the way they handle queries in a very timely manner.

Can not think of anywhere better to live than The Green Rooms

Living at The Green Rooms is better than I possibly imagined. It meets all of my requirements as it’s a social building full of lovely residents, managers who are always on stand bye to greet you and support, plus full of gorgeous pets! It has a lot to offer with communal areas, conference room, onsite gym, concierge (so you never have to miss a parcel) and a coffee machine. It is also a peaceful and relaxing development where you can have your space and enjoy incredible views of the Quays. When I’m on my balcony I often feel transported far away like I’m on holiday with a sea view 🙂 I couldn’t ask for more for a home and I can’t envisage ever wanting to move.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location at Media City is perfect for me with my work near by, several restaurants and bars, plus supermarkets and gyms. I love being next to the water on the Quays. I’ve lived here 9 months and I’m still not board of the view.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is probably the only issue and with multi story car parks being built near by- this could bring both pro’s and cons.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I can not think of anything which would improve it. The development is always clean, tidy, well managed and friendly. Our three bedroom corner apartment has everything we need: lovely modern kitchen including dishwasher, modern bathrooms, perfect bedrooms, great king size beds, fabulous wrap round balcony. It is perfect temperature- not too hot or cold. The apartment was fully furnished with brand new lovely furnishings. I can not think of anything else we need.

A fresh modern building with all your local needs!

The property first of all boasts large doors which is something I noticed right away. Being in a 1 bedroom apartment the space you have is very generous with a larger balcony then what you would expect. The bathroom is massive and styles a modern look. The core colour design blends well together, and creates that homely feel before you even decorate. The building offers a range of events putting get togethers on, the odd indoor mini market and recently a jubilee picnic. With an onsight gym, a pool table and a large open room overlooking the river to have a nice quiet place to work, you will not be short of any amenities on the inside of the building, oh and a coffee machine too!

The staff are friendly and always are willing to help, or even just have a nice conversation, aswell as any maintenance gets sorted at a reasonably quick speed depending on the circumstance.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area has a range of amenities that is forever expanding. A local shopping centre, bars and restaurants to keep you occupied on the evening. A tram stop around the corner that takes you right into the city centre is perfect. The street tends to be quiet most evenings and days, with the odd person making a racket i’d assume going into the hotel over the road. Bin collection is regular with plenty of bins to access. Plus the building is pet friendly which makes it even better!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t realise how friendly the people genuinely would be. Having a dog has sparked many individual conversations which massively helped with settling. The main downside is that the area to take your dogs out isnt fenced off, which many pet owners feel would be a big improvement on that aspect.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have had a few issues with the washing machine or dishwasher and apart from when the engineer was on his holiday, the response time was always within a few days and the issues never resurfaced.

A place on the quays – 5*

The building itself stands out in Media City, it’s absolutely stunning, I always feel so proud to live here. The interior design is incredibly modern and fresh. It has a super stylish clean aesthetic. The communal area facilities are perfect. Lovely open space for people to work from home or engage in communal gatherings. The gym, although small, serves a purpose. I would prefer to see more free weight equipment but I understand this may not be possible with health and safety unless you have a PT in the gym at all times. But it’s a great space to complete a workout.

The management are brilliant! Always on hand when you need help and incredibly friendly and engaging. Particular shoutout to Del and Jess who are always warm and welcoming and bring good energy to the building.

My only criticism in terms of the interior design is that some things don’t seem to be thought through too well. For example theres a lack of plugs in suitable places in the apartment which makes it difficult to furnish. Some of the finishes are a bit messy in terms of paint work and alignment of cupboards etc. Things do seem to have been rushed. I also don’t understand why the Master Bedrooms do not have the ensuite, surely this would have made more sense? Other than that I love these apartments, the light bright airy space is refreshing and feels like home. You don’t need a place in the sun, you need a place on the quays.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Location is a million percent 5*****. A very safe place to live with security always doing their bit and checking the area regularly. The bars and restaurants are great (when open) and it’s a short walk to the tram so easy access into central Manchester. It’s a lovely vibrant area with lots to do and beautiful landscapes. A very quiet and peaceful place to live. Nothing bad to say about the location.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking. The lack of free parking in the area makes it incredibly hard to have friends or family over as it costs an absolute fortune to stay even a few hours. Complimentary parking for residents should be available given the cost of the flats.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view of the quays. The balcony overlooks the quays, ITV and over Trafford. The bright open windows allow for a lot of light which is incredibly refreshing in an apartment. This by far has to be one of my favourite things. It’s a breath of fresh air in comparison to my old flat that had small windows and little light. This is perfect and the balconies are a brilliant size.
