AmroLiving’s main mission is creating communities within developments, which is why majority of their properties have a wide range of resident amenities to foster this atmosphere.

Our perfect place to live in Manchester!

THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK, we love the look and design. Its modern, simplistic, and real good quality furnishings and finishes.
The facilities are great. We often make use of the ‘social room’ on the ground floor overlooking the canal. When we have friends over, we go play a game of pool. Its also a great spot to host small gatherings with an equipped kitchen, lots of comfy seating too.
The Bin room is the only downside to this area, as the entrance is in the same corridoor to this social space, and often smells quite bad walking through. but you get through there in a quick second.
The Gym is great! Often quiet, with all the essentials.
The lobby is beautiful! And always such a great sight to come home to.

We love the fact that apartments have built in wardrobes, quality bedroom furnishings and super comfortable mattresses if you going fully furnished!

The management team are really superb! Made our process of signing the rental exciting instead of a dread. They were so quick and helpful to address ‘issues’ such a wonky mattress when we moved in. Replaced with a brand new one on the same day. Always lovely to chat with all the staff!

One ‘downside’ when we moved in, is that the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would have expected. So we had to take that on as a bit of a challenge (Cleaning the washing machine – inside and out) The previous tenants left the dishwasher in a bit of a state and the mould / mildew in the bathroom was quite bad) But that was resolved quickly by ourselves.

The BEST feature of this property is the soundproofing! You never hear a neighbour! We feel comfortable to be able to watch an action packed movie on loud, knowing we aren’t bothering our neighbours and vice versa.
In the summer (now) with most people having their balconies open and enjoying the good weather, you can hear them, but the moment you move inside, with the door open, it becomes light background noise.

We are very happy with the property, facilities, value and management! We plan on being here for a long time!

THE GREEN ROOMS MEDIACITYUK is situated in a perfect position for our needs.
We were firstly sold on the view of our apartment. We have an L shape balcony that overlooks the canal, and extends to the side for perfect sunset viewing.
The area is great for us. We love the modern city living feel, but with a much quieter area that is Media City. The bars and restaurants in the vicinity are great, being able to go for a nice dinner, an afternoon drink, often have live music and / or a great vibe always.
Initially, grocery shopping was not that convenient as there are no major shops around. The local General Store did the trick for quick few item pick ups, but with the new CoOp having opened, which is a decent size and allows for more cost effective grocery shopping has changed that.
The tram being a quick 3min walk away, allows us to easily pop across to a lidl just a few stops away which also solves that inconvenience.
Being able to grab a Costa on the way to work, is the best part, basically on the doorstep, and a lovely breakfast bistro across the road for easy weekend treats.
Honestly, the position fits every requirement we have!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Moving in / out your apartment can be quite a mission as there are only two elevators to service 19 floors.
Arrange for early morning / late evening if you can. And ensure you speak to the management about getting a key to lock the elevator for your use only. This makes it quicker and tenants aren’t trying to fit in elevators with you and all your stuff.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, we were experiencing a lot of ‘dust’ in the apartment. They arranged for the air filters to be cleaned for us in a timely manner. During this, the maintenance bloke, dropped a pipe on our wall, which marked it, but very quickly came and sorted that out with a fresh coat of paint. Very happy with the way they handle queries in a very timely manner.

The Green Rooms – A green and pleasant place to live

The Green Rooms at first glance is an imposing and considered design, with balconies to every apartment it really stands out as one of the most appealing places to live in Media City. Being on the canal side it offers uninterrupted far reaching views from the west and south sides.

Each apartment is well laid out with unusually tall ceilings, which helps them feel bright, airy and spacious. Apartments at this grade and age are all designed to a certain minimum, but the GR does feel slightly more on the generous side, especially with the built in storage and wardrobes. The communal facilities are good, the gym is on the small side and can get busy at peak times but has a good selection of weights and a few machines.

There are very pleasant and spacious lounges with free coffee machine too, with one lounge on the canalised offering great views. The building management provided by Avril and the team is faultless, any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. the building is spotless and cleaned on a daily basis. what more can I say than its a great place to live and I’ll have difficulty leaving when I have found a place to buy!

The area in and around Media City is quite unique, with easy access to Manchester City Centre by tram or a pleasant canal side walk, along with wide open space and views across the horizon to the hills, its the perfect mix of accessibility and tranquility. There are a few chain restaurants and grocery stores locally, but it does lack some variety and any sense of independent traders, there is no local chemist shop for instance.

Parking is freely available but at a price, the area is generally a calm and safe environment. It does get busy on match days, but not rowdy. Traffic is very light and the cycling routes make it really convenient to get around by bike.

I never would have realised how amazing the sunsets are from my balcony!

any minor issues I have had have been dealt with swiftly and efficiently

Amazing place and people

Facilities are great for me especially as they have a meeting room and plenty of workspaces. There is a pool table in the back communal area and great views. The only flawed thing in design I would say is the steam/smoke/fire alarm is too close to the kitchen.
Building management is fabulous always helpful and always there when needing to talk about things

Plenty of places to eat, drink and be in the open spaces. Trams and buses nearby aswell.
Bin collections done without being missed and only a bit of traffic noise. Anti social behaviour is hardly there. The only thing is some of the flats in the block opposite have allowed too much noise going into early hours but not much

Places go stay for family isn’t an issues as they prefer hotels so we have 2 within a minute of our flat which is fab

Any issues big or small the building manager and team are amazing and quick to help

I would buy an apartment here if that was an option!

The design is great! Finishes are all high quality. Sound proofing is the greatest we have experienced! No more hearing your neighbour make dinner or hear their TVs etc. Creates a really peaceful living environment.

– Gym is small but has a good offering. I do believe the treadmills need replacing.
– Yoga is offered in the community lounge once a week for a small fee.
– Resident events happen which creates a sense of community.
– Specious lobby and reception with work and chill spaces.
– Pool tables, meeting room and community lounge & kitchen if you have an event.
– Building management is great! Any problem we have had (such as washing machine repairs, leaks, general maintenance) is taken care of really quickly and at a high standard.
– Handle any complaints effectively and efficiently. (Although there is not much to complain about)

We truly LOVE living here, and dont see us moving in the near future. If/when we do it will only be because we cant purchase here, and would look to own our own property. We would be really sad to leave!

Local shops, with the addition of Co-Op has become an area of convenience. Before the Co-Op I would have rated this lower. However with the MediaCity Tram stop 2min walk away, or the Trafford Centre line 8min walk away access to bigger shops, Trafford etc are really convenient.
Plenty bars and restaurants to access as well as the Lowry and the monthly markets that are offered there.
No major noise problems, apart from the factories across the canal which can sometimes be loud, the sound proofing of the apartment when doors and windows are closed take care of that.

– Loads of parking available (Covered and Open)
– Bins room is kept tidy.
– Some anti-social behavior can take place around the area late at night / early mornings but is rare (and is not related to residence here)

There are two lifts for 19 floors. It can get pretty busy so moving in / out days are a bit of a headache for those moving as well as other tenants. Try and make your move as compact as possible.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issue raised has been dealt with effectively and efficiently. Main issue is mainly other tenants smoking, which wafts in to other apartments. But has been handled brilliantly and have noticed a major decline in this happening. (This is a non-smoking development).
