Beautiful home with dreadful lawns and landscaping.

Walking distance to shops schools and nice pubs restaurants & bars. 2 Train stations walking distance also. Close to an industrial estate with what appears to be a heavy lorry access which is disappointing as not mentioned to us when we bought - taking this up with local council.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The landscaping being poor, insist on having it re done before signing. They left my property with black railings and no plants and yet the neighbours all had this. I just expected the same - check everything! Also That we would be a main access point for heavy duty lorries.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

The lawn & soil quality - it’s basically rubble. We have dug and found bricks, cigarette packets and cans. It’s solid clay and has had no improvement made to it. It wasn’t leveled at all so it’s bumpy and patchy. We are a front property, showcasing their development- you would have thought they would have made more effort to level the garden at least. The railings are also ugly without the laurel trees - why they left ours bare I don’t know.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Burscough is fantastic, really great pubs, bars and restaurants all in walking distance. Great barbers, hairdressers and a even a bike shop. Transport is convenient as well. Trains to Southport, Ormskirk (and onto Liverpool), Preston and Manchester. Also being right on the canal means we get a nice mix of rural and town life. Our street is lovely, great neighbors all around and no issues with parking or bins. One problem we do have is our road is not surfaced yet which with lorry's coming as there is still building work generates a lot of dust.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It's plasterboard walls inside. The exterior walls are great for putting shelves and TVs on but anything on interior walls is difficult.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

One thing I would change is that I wish my house had a garage like the rest of our street.

Nice local village with independent shops, lots of open spaces nearby and two train stations in the area.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that a road was going to be built connecting a residential development to an industrial estate.

If I could change one thing i think it would be bigger drives.

There is a good amount of local shops around the area with at least 2 within walking distance from the house

Yes they have been pretty quick to respond to issues

That the garden would be overlooked by so many other houses
